  1. The Long Gun Registry is soon to be gone but that won’t stop anti-gun bureaucrats from causing mayhem. The latest is an attempt Natural Resources Canada Bureaucrats to change the explosives act to truly screw gun owners. The new regulations on the storage of ammunition are ambiguous, onerous, dangerous and deceitful. They place the onus on lawful gun owners to prevent the theft of ammo, and if it is stolen then you get charged. Does that sound familiar? Or the new requirement to lock all ammo – does that mean a round in your hunting jacket will get you jail time now? Or how about defining small arms ammo as smaller that .50 calibre – Oops, that basically bans shotguns bigger than 20 gauge.

  2. Dividend and conquer
Premier Redford opposes the dividend. She says the numbers don’t add up.
“Where do we end up losing? Where do end up making these hard choices?” says Redford.
The Tory leader also mentions Ralphbucks, the $400-a-person cheque back in the day.
Redford says if she could talk to most families who got the cheques she would ask them one question.
“What did that money actually do for your family? It wasn’t actually connecting to anything long term.”
    She doesn’t quite get it.

  3. Two open questions about the infamous Amanda Wilkie:
    1. Is this her?
    2. Does anyone DEFINITIVELY know that she resigned from her job with the Alberta PCs? Or did she just resign from working/volunteering on the election campaign?
    Most curious.

  5. Bob Rae in his usual style has called for PM Harper to resign over the auditor general’s report. Has he read this document because I see nothing in it that is controversial in the least.
If you search the ridiculous #cndpoli twitter tag you will see the usual smug lpc retards slapping themselves on the back over Bob Rae’s rhetoric.
Mulcair’s response was that he will act step by step before wildly calling for resignations. The Liberal party is going down in flames when a corpser who pals around with Libby Davies the troofer is the reasonable one.

  6. I wonder why, when I search for “Small Dead Animals”, I now get along with the link a picture of an old-looking paperback book that has Margaret Trudeau’s face on the cover.

  7. Why would you search for SDA? You are already here. Damn, now I’m going to have to try it myself…

“Pervasive corruption, lawlessness among the ruling elites, and a sense of a loss of direction permeating all levels of Chinese society. The conditions for another Tiananmen may be there.”
“The Western media has largely missed the most significant development in Chinese politics these days. It’s not the dramatic downfall of Bo Xilai, although the incident is one of the most important events in elite politics in post-Deng China. Rather, it’s the stirrings that have revived contentious political issues banished from polite society in China since the Tiananmen crackdown more than two decades ago.”

  9. Obama’s ignorance of the Constitution is embarrassing, says one of his former students.
“Prof. Thom Lambert of the University of Missouri Law School has responded with alarm to President Barack Obama’s attack on the Supreme Court and the power of judicial review by recalling his own days as Obama’s student at the University of Chicago.
Lambert, who writes for the ‘Truth on the Market’ blog, not only studied under Obama, but also clerked for the federal judge who issued an order yesterday demanding that the Department of Justice clarify whether the government believed courts had the power to overturn constitutional laws.”

  10. A man who escaped from a massive fire at an apartment in Moose Jaw, Sask., says he might not be alive today if it wasn’t for his cat, Chloe.
Shawn Delorme…says he was fast asleep and might have perished if the calico kitty hadn’t leapt on his pillow, meowed loudly and scratched his face…
Delorme hopes she ran out the door and somebody else is now taking care of her…
I wouldn’t worry either way, Shawn. Animals never rebelled against the Lord, so they know not sin. That’s why they never lie, why they only kill for food or defending themselves or their young, and why risking their lives for their human friends—no greater love has a man than this who can do that, for men fear death because they fear hell—is something they do without (as far as we know) a second thought. The mad monk who preached the Gospel to the birds was wasting his time. The birds knew the Word of the Lord better than he did.
Turn to the Lord, if you haven’t already, hear His Gospel, accept His salvation and forgiveness, reform your life, and if it pleases the Lord to grant you a mansion in His house, rest assured Chloe will be there to greet you. All animals make it to heaven, and a darn sight sooner than most humans do.
