The Tolerant Left

[David Corn] was spotted in the Barnes & Noble at Union Station throwing a fit because his new book — his fifth — fitting called Showdown: The Inside Story of How Obama Fought Back Against Boehner, Cantor, and the Tea Party out today didn’t have its own display. He was overheard yelling at the manager that “every paper in America” was going to be talking about his book today and yet nobody could find it there.

  1. He sounds like my children when they were toddlers. They however have long ago outgrown such behaviour whereas this guy hasn’t.

  2. Memo to educated urban sophisticate David Corn:
Outfacing self placement and other bookstore displays are negotiated and paid for by your publisher (or not, as seems to have been the case.)
I figured someone as enlightened as you would know that.
Take it up with your publisher’s marketing and publicity departments before making an entitled rageaholic ass of yourself in public.

  3. Oh yes. THE David Corn. He has a book coming out!!! Everyone I know can talk about nothing else.

  4. If David’s next book is a little slow in coming out, perhaps suppositories would help.

  5. One would think it would be difficult to sell a book about the greatness of Obama when he tells you about it endlessly, for free.

  6. “Could the absence of Corn’s book display be termed…
    “Corn Hole”?

    Downright Hilarious!

  7. James Toronto put it best in yesterday’s WSJ Best of the Web column: “I’ll bite: who is David Corn?”

  8. Now, if David Corn had gay-married Ty Cobb… would he have been promoted to the rank of Colonel?
