  1. The Canadian Bar Association is fighting the injustice of members contributing truckloads of cash to the Liberals and now not being appointed as bureaucrats and judges.

  2. Funny how orgs. like the Cdn. Bar. Assoc. can make so much noise about this little turd, yet stay absolutely silent on our governments’ disdain for our property rights.

  3. I suspect that the Liberals have a secret plan to make Omar Khadr the next Liberal leader.
Well, maybe just their poster boy for expressing Liberal tolerance.

  4. A feminist lesbo activist like Judy Rebick, with her hydrocarbon content, would be used as FUEL in a Sharia society.
Also anyone remember the picture of Kahdr holding up a severed pair of HANDS! The sweet dear…

  5. The reason they adore Khadr is that, unlike them, he has taken his anti-Americanism to the logical conclusion, namely the battlefield. Or at least what they call a battlefield, and that’s where the problem compounds, since what we see as an extra-legal act outside the protection of any kind of international law, they see as the moral equivalent of German soldiers fighting the Allies or perhaps even the other way round in extreme twisted cases. Anyway, try reasoning with them, and you can perhaps do it in court rather than the political arena, since they figure that’s one place they might win such an argument.
Lamentable, our chattering classes, but as I’ve come to see, an embarrassment mainly to themselves, we should perhaps just move on and consign them to oblivion rather than even caring what they say. After all, they are now just saying it to each other, the massive disconnect between Canada’s self-appointed elites and the normal people grows more evident all the time.
“Thank you for being a friend …”

  6. “Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out….”
It would be cruel to bring Little Omar back to the land of the Infidel, when he could follow his dream and go back to Afghanistan!
When Khadr does return to Canada, inevitable in the age of political correctness, watch the government move heaven and earth to accommodate him, free education, welfare, maybe a Arar type payment to compensate him for his injuries, both physical and to his delicate psyche.
Maybe he’ll be invited to address the House on the “child soldier” in Afghanistan, and those awful Canadian soldiers who tried to harm him and his brethren.
This is one time Toews should NOT bow to pc pressure.
    Yeah,welcome back,you little SOB.

I suspect that the Liberals have a secret plan to make Omar Khadr the next Liberal leader.
If not the Liberals, he may find room in the big tent of the NDP (or, as has been noted by another SDA commentator, NsDaP).
OTTAWA – Monia Mazigh, an Ottawa woman who led a year-long campaign to have her husband released from a Syrian prison, is expected to announce Wednesday she will run for the New Democratic Party in the next federal election.
Mazigh is married to Maher Arar, the Canadian who was deported to Syria by U.S. officials on suspicion of being connected to al-Qaeda.
NDP Leader Jack Layton, MP and former party leader Alexa McDonough and Mazigh will attend the announcement Wednesday in Ottawa, according to an NDP news release.

McDonough: “She’s shown herself to be of incredible leadership quality, she’s been an incredible advocate for human rights and civil liberties and, yes, I absolutely was proud to approach her to ask if she might give this consideration.”

  8. I think the US should return Khadr to Canada. Fly him over the border and kick him out of the helicopter at 4000′. No parachute? Guess we forgot something.

  9. Rizwan, that may be so, as the NDP appears to be the home of every other sort of dysfunctional ideology and they might as well be supporting the interests of terrorists.

  10. Peter O’Donnell,— ” he has taken his anti-Americanism to the logical conclusion,”.
That is undoubtedly part of the reason. I believe that he has become a ‘little darling’ is because it allows the ‘progressives’ to stand with their brown brothers and show their peers that they are inclusive. The fact that Omar is a younger terrorist does cause some to pause before criticizing their immoral stance.

  11. Rizwan
You scared the heck out of me. When I saw Jack Layton’s name in the present tense I thought they’d found a cure for AIDS.

  12. Don’t be surprised if he gets a nice cushie government job when he gets back. It worked for some of the FLQ members.
They hate us but not enough to stop cashing our cheques.

  13. Ezra’s requesting that we write The Hon. Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, asking him “not to sign the prison transfer agreement to let this terrorist [Omar Khadr] come back from Guantanamo Bay to Canada”. ’Excellent idea.

I’d also suggest sending this request to the PM, to Peter Mackay, Minister of Defence, and to Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism. Here are their email addresses:

Khadr’s just a battering ram for the fifth column left against the best government we’ve had in decades. “Deranged dominion” (M. Steyn), indeed!

  14. As Canadians this should be something that we should expect from our liberal government lead by PM Harpless. This issue is a direct result of Canada’s liberal left-wing policies on refugee and immigration and a flaccid attempt to show liberal compassion by allowing tens of thousands of people into this country each year from countries that support, sponsor and or endorse terrorism.
I heed warning now that we must elect an actual Conservative government that will defend the rights, values, traditions and culture of Canada.

  15. @russ…please point out the national party that holds these values
perhaps since the progressive agenda was “sold” to us incrementally, the same has to be done with conservatism. Forty years ago, a person did not have to answer to the Human Rights Commission if he stated historical facts…not so today. Moving back to the right will take just as long…I’ll be in my mid-80s by then…I just hope I live to see it.

  16. Great, North of 60! Let’s hope the Conservatives listen and keep this malignant parasite out of our country.

  17. The people who support the monster in the end will find themselves before a bock with a sword at their throats. They have no idea how dangerous these human animals are. Nor the lack of pity.
Our so called betters have become mad with delusion.
Its what happens when you believe nothing , you end up believing any lie.

  18. How did Coren get into Canada? Did we have a manpower shortage of stuffed shirts and windbags?

  19. My God, what deeply horrible and ill-informed people you are. Suddenly I’m deeply ashamed to be a Canadian.

  20. How unfortunate.
May I suggest a move to a more tolerant nation like the Netherlands, where immigrant families of murdering Islamists are permitted to intimidate their hosts in peace?

  21. Judy Rebik compared Omar Khadr to Nelson Mandela…
a reasonable comparison there, Nelson Mandela was a terrorist too.

  22. Re Carlina: My God, what a little temper tantrum.
BTW, Carlina: your ad hominem would be assessed a failure, even in grade 3. All you provide is an unsubstantiated opinion, with no supporting evidence from the text to which you refer: no marks for you.
You mention that you’ve only “suddenly” felt “deeply ashamed to be a Canadian”. Where HAVE you been?
If “deeply ashamed” is what you’re prone to feel about a country as free as ours, perhaps you could move to the Middle East, where the Muslims’ lack of tolerance and their preponderance for barbarism could provide you with a ready source of opprobrium. (And, if thinking is actually something you might consider, please do.)

  23. Carlina, are you telling us that you are so emotionally involved with Khadr that knowing others disagree with you means they are ill-informed and you are offended to the point of being ashamed of being Canadian?
Are you a hyphenated Canadian, by any chance, or just one of the many who get their news coverage from fellow lefties at The Star and CBC? If so, you have every right to be ashamed.

  24. Well done Ezra! Cal2 that little ‘gem’ you posted a link to should be seen by all Canadians. Revolting.
I wonder if that Judy freak would like her hand to be one of those on that gruesome ‘necklace’? In the la la land of the freaky PCs, that hand is never theirs – bad things happen to ‘other (lesser) people’.

  25. Well Carlina, how long did you and Vanessa have to meet to come up with this brilliant plan? We know what to do with trolls who post useless pap. Ignore and/or laugh. Enjoy your life. Hope someday you’ll learn how to make more intelligent decisions – ones that actually benefit you, rather than contribute to your own self-chosen hard luck path in life.
