Peter Nygard’s Lawsuit Against the CBC to Proceed

The Earth must have entered into the Twilight Zone. How else to explain that our always professional, always objective, always unbiased state broadcaster could have possibly breached a whole host of ethics in their attempt to destroy a businessman.

  1. Not to worry. The CBC has the financial strength of Canada Revenue to fund their lawyers.
It’s just a matter of how many of the taxpayers hard earned dollars will be used.
Attacking tax paying citizens and companies is what the CBC is there for, isn’t it?
The CBC is the Liberal gov’t in exile, until they can use our money to convince Canadians to again elect the natural governing party.

  2. What? – Nygard guilty of success? What a criminal. I saw the show and it was so obviously a hatchet job. Who would ever think that a large employer would have disgruntled employees? I assume that Nygard has personal issues like the rest of us but I don’t know that CBC needed to produce an hour of programming detail each and every one based on the word of disgruntled employees. Just another reason to eliminate the buggers at CBC masquerading as journalists.

  3. CBC doesn’t need an excuse or need to verify any facts before doing an expose on any smuck.
Case in point is the smear job Ron Maclean (HNIC) did on Alex Burrows of the Vancouver Canucks two years ago. Burrows had the audacity to claim that a NHL ref told him that he would ‘get him’ for embarassing him (the ref) in a previous game. Maclean then used the resources of the CBC to produce a video of numerous suspect calls or non-calls in Burrows career which questioned his character. How does one defend himself against this?

  4. Strangely enough, the story cannot be found at CBC, CTV, Global, NP, G&M…….. you get the point.

  5. I’m glad to see someone challenge the national public propaganda commissariat on the corruption of their commissioned mandate.
In a wider sense, I hope the ensuing actions and revelations help people realize that for the past 40 years, the CBC and our academia have had one sole agenda – to manufacture more Canadian communists through formal and media indoctrination.
Any 12 hr. news cycle of CBC output is rife with ideological Marxist concepts pervading virtually all opinion and interview material. It’s all there – anti-capitalism, anti-individual liberty, anti-traditional Canadian values, Pro-abortion, Pro- gender and identity politics, class struggle mythology, Anti-church, Anti-Americanism, collectivist economics, UN Agenda 21 global governance politics, climate scare politics – virtually 24/7 broadcast of transnational Marxist critical theory. The CBC and to an extent BBC are probably the largest remaining vestiges of cold war era soviet style ideological indoctrination left on earth. Even Russia Today hasn’t the ideological communist spin that the CBC puts on everything.
Pull the plug on Karl Marx’s megaphone, I want to be informed and entertained, not indoctrinated.

  6. grok at January 26, 2012 9:46 AM is correct.
The Eloi working for the public corporation have to be sued on individual conduct. If these individuals throw bullshit around freely, without any responsibility, they should pay.
They would like to hide behind the veil of being journalists when everybody knows that there is only one such person working at the joint.
Once, some years ago, they called me from Edmonton. Don’t know how, where they got my name.
One suppose they have their secret agents that snoop on people.
Imagine if RCMP snooped on them, they would turn Harper into possibly the worst of humanity.
Anyway, they wanted me to say some bad things about somebody. It turned out that I did not know the poor sucker, they said good bye.
Not being journalists, the CBC are agents of evil in Canada.
I know it sounds creepy, though what the hell.

  7. CBCpravda should automaticly have there funding reduced by the amount of every lawsuit loss plus their court costs.
    seems like a simple bill

  8. The money CBC is spending on legal fees might have produced another season of Little Mosque on the whatever. Shame.

  9. The court has ordered the CBC to pay Nygards legal fees, which means the taxpayer will pay his fees. Hope he is awarded $ 1.2 billion and then for the first time in decades we will know where our money has gone. Then they can close down all their assets and get a job.
Just kidding, but it sure is a warm and fuzzy daydream.

  10. In regard to Joey’s link ; The documentary is called “This hour has 10,000 Minutes”. It is about CBC’s bias and uses their footage to show it.CBC may issue a fatwa against the producers.
IMHO,this documentary would be perfect for the SunNews Network. They could even attempt to buy advertising time on the CBC to promote it. If that was not allowed, they could have a show on that.A win-win situation, unless you’re a CBC fan.

  11. How dare Nygaard and those Appeal Court judges get in the way of the Craptastic Broadcorping Castration urinalists’ passionate mission to save the world?!

  12. Kudos to Nygard for taking these swine to court. They won’t be able to bankrupt him.
‘Seems the CBC regularly slimes people who can’t defend themselves — and their office of “Ombudsman” is worse than useless. When you hire a former employee, which seems to be the regular pattern at the Mother Corpse — both the former and the present CBC Ombudsmen once worked for the CBC — you’ve eschewed all pretense of neutrality or fairness.
