Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

So now the Occupy movement is going to see the violence inherent in the system. “Help, help, we’re being repressed!”
Anarchists for better government.
“Encampments morphed into outdoor homeless shelters, with all the attendant social problems they attract. In places like Vancouver, there would soon be drug overdoses (and one death) to deal with as well as assaults on police and fire personnel by hooded thugs in Doc Martens claiming to be modern-day freedom fighters. In Victoria, one occupier dumped a bucket of urine on the head of a city official.”
Well if your ‘movement’ descends into defecating on police cars and hurling buckets of urine at city officials perhaps the appropriate moniker would be OWC – Occupy the Water Closet….

The endorsement by the left…especially Ali-Bama…should be a dead albotros hanging from their necks…
A cynical political ploy by the Soros collective, to re-elect Ali Bama seems to be back-firing….not exactly the image they sought to project….by attempting to juxtapose this mess with the TEA PARTY, they just emphasized the TEA PARTY virtuous image…
When you have lost the Mop and Pail, it is time to drop the tent, roll up the sleeping bag and take them back to mom’s basement for redeployment.
Mayor Dean Fortin of Victoria has taken to bleating about how the OWS has blocked the city efforts to decorate the redwood in Centennial square and install the skating rink for the Christmas season. People seem to think that this is an attempt to reason with the OWS crowd. It isn’t. It’s a lame attempt to get through to the left wing NDP election machine which Fortin used to get elected in the first place. Except at the moment the left wing election aparatus are too busy supporting, radicalizing and financing the OWS crowd in Victoria to answer phone calls from the mayor.
So no skating rink for Christmas. :o(
The left always ends up eating it’s young.
From here it looks this way.
The whole occupation in this country looks and seem as though monkey see monkey do. The American protesters adopted the name from a Canadian in Vancouver. They started protests with big fanfare from the mass media. Of course Canadians of the same persuasion had to start something on their own because they saw Americans doing it.
In Calgary, a well known communist organized this thing. So far as these things go, it was destined to degenerate into nothingness but spite.
The argument of Nenshi, the mayor of Calgary, that they, the occupants, have right to free speech, does not mean anything, except to try to play it to the out.
For all, that anybody cares, they can protest from early morning to late evening and even overnight. They however have no right what so ever to put up tents in public park, unless they get a permit from the city and the bylaws allow it. Other than that there is no need for bylaws.
This though, seem to be the thinking process of today’s politicians, manage mayhem rather than stop it, that actually requires certain amount of guts and leadership, both of which, is today in short supply.
For a crowd to falsely criticize Harper’s government for doing the bidding of the Americans, it’s patently hypocritical to follow American monkey do.
From the article : “When you asked occupiers what it was they were fighting for, the discussion would often turn to the quaint notion of devolving our democratic system as we know it into a more utopian version in which we all shared equally. Who wouldn’t want that? Except for the general havoc and chaos the devolvement part might produce.”
I’m sure I’m not alone here in saying that I absolutely 100% DO NOT WANT THAT. Sorry libdippers, I work for a living and I don’t really want to “share equally” with people who don’t. Kthxby.
Worst Vancouver mayor. EVER. Civic elections can’t come soon enough.
Every city that has had to suffer with an “occupy” movement should be sending their clean-up bill and any other related expenses to Adbusters.
This quote made my day:
“Among them: an independent investigation into the events of 9/11, the establishment of two police forces (one to prove your guilt, another to prove your innocence), the legalization of most drugs, a redrafting of parts of the Constitution and the release of all non-violent prisoners.”
From the comments:
“The Occupy movement failed because it was led by and composed of, failures.”
Spot on!
Occupy supporter said he was fired for protesting so says the CEEB.
This story has been bouncing around for a few hours now. There seem to be some problems with it, however.
Company claims it is a hoax
Boss claims he is able to spell his own name correctly.
