Last week another islamic fanatic was denied entry to Canada.Begg was his name. The cbc commenters were outraged,of course. I did a little research on the fellow and found out that a few years before, his residence was raided and the coppers found a bunch of night-vision goggles and flak jackets.
His defense was that ‘it was just a hobby’. My point is that we should not be too quick to judge this man.Collecting videos of beheadings may very well be his hobby,and may not be connected to his religion at all. It may have started with the Christian,John the Baptist.
And how much money does Hollywood and the TV industry make out of displaying graphic brutal violence. Yeah I understand the Hollwywood stuff is make believe but it is still depicting graphic brutal violence and gore and enough normal people pay to see it to make it worthwhile for the producers. Now before you jump all over me I am not a sympathizer to the aloha snackbar types. I stand firmly behind Israel and our western societies. We as societies are like the 3 monkeys. Mike, I have enough faith in my fellow man that he can differentiate between clips of actual beheadings and Hollywood faux violence.
Anyone who collects vids of actual beheadings for pleasure is a sick, sadistic f*!# who likely requires psychiatric intervention, chiefly because they cannot distinguish reality from fantasy. Folks who enjoy Hollywood films which depict violence are likely normal individuals who eschew violence in the course of their lives.
Not to say, however, that I support the unending stream of violent films that seems to flood our airwaves and other media…
Alienated. I agree that anyone who would watch actual videos of people getting killed is a sick person. I’m speaking from the perspective of a retired policeman who has seen in real time, gruesome death, multiple fatalities from motor vehicle collisions, gruesome suicides etc. I can’t understand how anyone could watch the depictions of such, (even if these depictions are made up and not actual events) and call it entertainment. Sorry, been there, seen it all and I don’t find it the least bit entertaining and can’t for the life of me understand how someone else could. I think our society as a whole has an unhealthy fascination with such entertainment. but that’s just me. cheers mike
I viewed one or two beheading vids. A few years ago. That was enough.
It is the most incredibly disturbing experience you can imagine. A human being treated at the same level, as a beast, a farm animal.
Only it is not for food, or clothing. It is a horrifying act, with only one purpose.
To make a statement.
The statement is that the perpetrators are the mostrevolting, vile subhumans on God’s green earth.
They possess not an ounce of what it takes to be a human being. Gas and ovens are too good for these betes. Sick doesn’t even begin to describe these appalling creatures.

Eastern Paul, I think you are bang on..besides the obviously disgusting and violent imagery that a beheading imparts to the next potential victim, the inferred message to the act is clear.
We are taking from you the seat of man’s ability to think and to act independently and freely, as well as to vocalize those thoughts and spread them through word of mouth.The headless body serving Allah is the perfect metaphor for these beasts.
