Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I had to Google Tom Friedman to find out who he was. Alas, just another Grey Lady hack. Geez, these guys get tiresome…
Anyone still listening to the dynamic duo of Friedman and Krugman over at the NYT? (communist affirmative action policy recipients or token wingnuts) both have made claims that are beyond simple mistakes or speech pattern slips.
They both think that nobody could possibly question their “facts” or motivations Krugman does not allow comments, Friedman almost lost it on CNBC when Santelli took him to task.
Bottom Line: Do not look for a correction anytime soon from Friedman on this, he is never wrong nor is his house.
So he got the figures completely wrong, even as he talked about the Chinese students getting perfect scores on the math SATs.
I have two words for that: puh-thetic.
I don’t know I think Krugman’s alien invasion to fix the economy sounded pretty good. He was talking about the little green men type of alien right?
I like to point out that the one thing you say for Tom Friedman is that he’s no Paul Krugman. And vice versa.
I seem to find this funnier than everyone else does. Sigh.
Friedman never ceases to ahhh…… entertain me.
A lot of liberals have the same ability, just show em a microphone.
Hmmm … that house looks suspiciously like Paul Krugman’s house.
“two words, China is awesome” Uh that’s three, but math isn’t your strong suit anyway Tom, so no worries 😉
Love the implicit mathematical diss, Kate. Classic.
It’s gotta be true… the New York Times never lies…
Texas – of course the Times lies… how else would all of the pet birds across north america be able to use it for their business? If the Times hovered and moved around in the birdcages then it could be as hard on birds as a windmill.
How does he afford such a house. He just writes for the New York Times. Did he marry into it?
In California we scoff at $9 million houses. Kids wouldn’t even bother to trick or treat there.
My house, though not nearly as opulent, talks too.
I think it’s saying “Hey Bud, I could use a little paint, maybe some new carpet, some fancy curtains?”
I pretend I don’t hear anything….la-la-la-la.
Snagglepuss – the boss and I have a similar relationship. He says I’m less demanding than a date, though.
Phantom’s truck…:
It’s still important to know who’s in charge.
An occasional diet of low octane, and under-inflated boots, makes that perfectly clear.
Sure set me straight…
How about this caption?
“My electric bill is $2,500. Damn smart meters!”
Three words, two words, just one word.
Al Gore’s house is just as awesome. So if I tell you how to live, do I get an awesome house?
Does it come with a gardener? No? Forget it, I’m not mowing that lawn.
“Phantom’s truck wants chrome rims for Xmas…”
Dude. My truck -has- chrome rims. And it can eat your truck’s lunch.
Change my oil?
Change my oil?

Phantom: methinks we’re being toyed with by a she snake in the grass… U No HOO?
Now that’s really low! :~D)
Snagglepuss, she’s lower than a black mamba’s belly in a tractor rut.
Here’s a riddle (for Mamba):
If you paddled a canoe up a tree backwards, and the wheels fell off, how many pancakes would it take to shingle your doghouse??
(Answer in a half hour)….
The hazards of posting on a dead thread.
Answer: None, because snakes don’t have armpits!

But, she’s probably off somewhere shedding her skin and is temporarily unavailable.
Now why would a stupid joke like that be embedded in your head for 30 years, but you can’t remember the names of your in-laws?
It’s also a silly riddle because I don’t have any dogs.
Q: What is a SmartCar really?
A: Its a truck fart.
