Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Barack Obama, Sept.12, 2011 – “And when you look at what independent economists are saying about the American Jobs Act, my jobs plan, uniformly what they are saying is this buys us insurance against a double-dip recession.”
Barack Obama, Sept.26, 2011 – “Obviously, it is never fun to lose your job. And it’s always hard in this kind of really deep recession.”
Related – another missed memo.

Freudian slip, or just a sign of his intellectual dishonesty? You be the judge!
Freudian slip, or just a sign of his intellectual dishonesty?
Yes.
Obama unlike our PM has yet to move on his words for the public, whereas our PM is on the go meeting with foreign nations to help our country in trade; that is: doing whatever it takes to see his/our country canada remain afloat.
I don’t see Obama doing anything of the sort only that he is in a campaign for himself rather than meeting with business people to find way to help his country but, Obama owes his loyality to the union first and foremost.
He is a protectionist that is hinding his country from doing trade with other countries.
Frankly speaking, Obama is doing what concerns OBAMA and if you are not part of his party lets say, you don’t count.
Obamassiah is too confused about Jews or janitors to remember what lies he told a week ago.
“It is tough being unemployed if you are in your 50’s or early 60’s, before retirement. That is the toughest period of time to, to lose your job.
How the heck does he know? The World has been his plate to eat all his life. His concerns stop at what driver he’s going to use.
This man has done nothing but destroy American industry, & like a coy lover tries to make words more evident than deeds.
If he truly meant what he says he would disband the EPA Juggernaut. Run by fanatics with an agenda to see us all in grass shacks. No excuse to small to destroy farm land or Humanity at the expense of their ecological fantasies. They are haters of man. Wester Mankind at any rate.
A friend working in the Gulf tells me that there are
easily 100,000 “Obama-unemployed” in Louisiana.
How many people has Bambi put out of work directly? Not
“the economy” hocus-pocus but by regulatory fiat? Bambi has done
far more damage to Louisiana than Katrina ever did.
It is to be hoped that Bambi will be permanently
unemployed in a year or so.

obama & geithner are spending $200,000… for every job they “create”…
yet the military is simultaneously performing a 50,000 man drawdown.
in what alternate universe do those numbers add up?

Obama is disingenuous – It’s actually the American Job Act – Specifically his
I guess Obama hasn’t checked in with his financial advisor, Warren Buffett, lately. According to The Warren, we’re already in a double-dip recession. The White House really needs to work on consistent messaging.
Excuse me for a moment while I go report Warren to Attack Watch.
Again, I thought the last link was the most important – a very important Fed official actually explains what “U-6” (the broadest measure of unemployment) really means. U-6 for August was 16.1% – nearly one in five Americans who want a full time job can’t find one.
Just for comparison’s sake, at the time Bambam took office in 2008, U-6 was 10%. What a great job he’s done!
“Obviously, it is never fun to lose your job….”
What a dink!
speaking of talking points……
I seem to remember musing in 2009 that 2008 might have been the last American election…I was thinking more along the lines of a major incident or an assassination that the dems would blame on ‘the tea party’ and assume extraordinary powers for their president…but since they lost control of the House sooner than they expected, it might be more difficult now, not impossible for a sufficiently motivated (and terrified) ‘democratic’ party….

DEM GUV CALLS FOR ‘SUSPENDING ELECTIONS’
Speaking to a Cary Rotary Club today, N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue suggested suspending Congressional elections for two years so that Congress can focus on economic recovery and not the next election.
“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that,” Perdue said. “You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”
The comment — which came during a discussion of the economy — perked more than a few ears. It’s unclear whether Perdue, a Democrat, is serious — but her tone was level and she asked others to support her on the idea. (Read her full remarks below.)
Later Tuesday afternoon, Perdue’s office clarified the remarks: “Come on,” said spokeswoman Chris Mackey in a statement. “Gov. Perdue was obviously using hyperbole to highlight what we can all agree is a serious problem: Washington politicians who focus on their own election instead of what’s best for the people they serve.”
The Republicans sure are taking it seriously as they look to score political points. Here’s a statement from GOP spokesman Rob Lockwood:
“Now is a time when politicians need to be held accountable more than ever. To suspend an election would be removing the surest mechanism that people have to hold politicians accountable: the right to vote. Does the Governor not believe that people of North Carolina have the ability to think for themselves about whether or not the actions of elected officials are working?”
UPDATED: GOP House candidate Paul Coble didn’t think much of Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue’s idea that congressional elections be suspended for two years so Congress can concentrate on the economy.
“That’s a proposal that only the politicians that have worsened our economic mess could appreciate,” said Coble, who is chairman of the Wake County commissioners. “Governor Perdue and the politicians in Washington may fear the message voters send next November.”
Perdue’s full statement:
“You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things. I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It’s a little bit more contentious now but it’s not impossible to try to do what’s right in this state. You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”
Obama’s “American Jos Plan” is a misnomer. More appropriately called the “American Job Plan” – specifically his.
