When not spending time asserting that Tim Hudak is a racist, Liberal Party apparatchik Warren Kinsella has consistently argued that the federal Liberals and NDP should merge. Rex Murphy explains why this is a bad idea for both of them.

Hilarious. Desperation has set in if Special K is advocating a merger….HA!
However, as much as he says the Dippers would have to renounce socialism, the Liberals are just as red.
The descriptor apparatchik fits Warren to a T.
I assume kinsella figures he’ll be important when this happens, not unlike the proverbial cockroach after the nuclear war.
Warren Kinsella traumatized my cat.
I give thanks that Special K is working for the Liberals. With him on their side, even idiot Tim Huuuuudak has a chance. Watching that guy on TV, it really gives you a feel for the kind of chicken-brained slimebags they have doing the hiring for the Liberals. Who could look at that face, listen to that delivery and not feel their insides shriveling up from the fatuous lying? I mean, this is a man who could read aloud from the telephone book and I’d still be convinced he was lying.
If the Libs merge with the Dippers, he’ll have two parties to mangle. That’ll be awesome. The Dips really deserve Special K. Like, deeply.
It’s a very good proposal in its own way. What the merger proposal shows is who in each party genuinely believes in their party, what it stands for and its causes, as opposed to those who are motivated purely by hunger for power.
By their advocacy, we now have concrete evidence that Chretien and Kinsella stand for nothing at all.
It’s clear cut and straight-forward. Because those who sit on the fence and refuse to commit themselves are committing a worse political sin: public cowardice.
When ignoring the personalities in favour of ideology, the only difference between the two parties is one of style versus substance. The Liberals have been the more mercantilist (lacking the overt anti-business NDP labour vote-pimping style) implementation Party of NDP ideology since Pearson. Now that Harper’s Conservatives have become the centrist Party of choice, the Liberal remnants have no other place to go. This will force Harper to become more centre-left not unlike the BC Liberals and for the same reason. Either way, conservatism loses.
In the two-Party US situation, with the exception of the blue-dogs, the Democrats are now so far to the left that the Republicans themselves represent the liberal/progressive to conservation/libertarian continuum of generations past. That’s why the Republican primaries are the only relevant game in town.
The NDP want the Liberals like Custer wanted more Sioux!
I don’t know if Tim Hudak is a racist. What I do know is that he is a freaking imbecile, a panderer and a hypocrite and for that Special K rightly exposed him.
This is just the case of another Red Tory who thought he would ride on the federal conservatives’ and Ford’s popularity while pandering here and there. He deserves to lose for being a cretin.
Danny, no argument that Hudak is a pandering cretin. However, he is not -McGuinty-. So I’m voting for him.
At this point I’d vote for a goldfish with a PC sticker on its bowl. One word why: Caledonia.
The most hilarious bit was seeing poor Lilley trotting out the picture of Dolton with the “pandering politician” caption only to have it completely turned around by Special K.
Nice one Warren.
Who is the worst panderer?
Dolton who panders but is at least consistent?
Or Hudak who panders and changes his tune at the drop of a hat only to pander some more?
Phantom,
Why is this idiot Hudak leader of the Ontario PC?
“Why is this idiot Hudak leader of the Ontario PC?”
Because no one listens to me, that’s why.
Same deal with the previous leader, John Tory. Both Toronto lawyers, both men with great ambition but zero deeply held belief in conservatism.
They keep electing these a-holes because some other bunch of Toronto lawyer a-holes advising the party keeps saying that’s what it takes to win. That’s the same reason the Federal PCs kept electing a-holes like Brian Mulroney. Sometimes they can win, but only by out-liberaling the Liberals.
A guy who runs on tax cuts, shrinking government and building back our manufacturing base because he believes in it, that guy is going to win. Hudak is not that guy. Hudak is McGuinty Lite. Same taste, less filling.
Clearly what we need is an actual Conservative party in Ontario, not the left-over rump of the defeated and destroyed pink tories.
One good thing about Liberals (aka far-left) merging with the NDP (aka extreme far-left) becoming one party is that no one could ever again say that the Liberals are not SOCIALISTS.
That’s right, I said it!
Phantom, that was so well said. If I could I would buy you a coffee.
Anyone notice that Kinsella’s opinion is in lockstep with Jean Chretien’s opinion? I wonder if its telepathy or telephony.
Well: It would appear that if Hudak is NOT McGuinty, regardless how offensive he is to conservative voters he should be elected.
Because if he is the only game in town whose fault is that?
Just like the pubbies in the states, it became clear as glass, if it was not before, that the majority of the pubbie elite are NOT conservatives. No siree , they are not.
That distinction now falls to the Tea Party members, those Americans who see who the enemy is , dem or pub , and know to save their country they have to take these A holes on no matter their stripe.
Careful, not to strip the party, create and run a third party, they know who they want to run under the repub banner.
As was illustrated in the last mid terms in Nov, the opposition was strongest AMONG the pubbie elite.
Let’s hope Ontario conservatives learn from example. Surely Ontario knows from experience what an awful disaster McGuinty is and will , indeed , remember Caledonia.
Can the crap guys or you’ll end up with more crap than you can handle with another McGuinty win.
Tim Hudak couldn’t possibly be worse than McGuinty, that’s where we have to start from.Even if you want to consider him “McGuinty lite” that would be an improvement over what we’ll have with he real thing.
We cannot afford to pay the high cost of McGuinty’s fixation on green energy, if he gets back in some of us will lose our homes because of the high cost of power and everything else we need to survive in this northern climate.
I’m voting for Hudak, this is one time there’s no alternative.
I am a conservative because I believe that government is a necessary evil. Any election for me is a vote for the best of a bad bunch. Occasionally I am genuinely happy to be casting my ballot for a person I have some expectation of being something more than a self serving hack.
Would Hudak or any other Ontario politician have handled Caledonia differently? Thank god here in BC we had Gustafson Lake to set a precedent for that kind of occupation.
“Would Hudak or any other Ontario politician have handled Caledonia differently?”
Yes. I firmly believe Hudak would not order the OPP to face the townsfolk and take bottles and rocks in the back of their heads from the Mohawk Smugglers. He’d probably pass the buck, duck responsibility, hide, run away, what have you, but he most likely wouldn’t actively BREAK THE LAW like McGuinty has.
No votes for a conservative in multi-culti, right?
Chief Kickingass ….. continues to demonstrate how blind ideological devotion is NOT the same thing as actual thinking.
I think hudak needs some one to send him a “description” of what a conservative is, so he can see what he is not, but maybe it would lite fire under his A$$
Black Mamba
On the upside he didn’t eat mr.kitties…
Yeah, Hudak’s a disappointment alright, but he’s not a proven slimeball like McGuinty.
Makes me laugh when I hear the “don’t tell me Hudak will do any better” excuses from the Liberal-at heart crowd – who have all suffered from McGuinty’s sleazy ineptness but will stick with Mr. Smegma instead of trying the alternative.
Reminds me of a story:
Once upon a time in a small rural parish there was a little altar boy who had been abused for almost eight years by the priest. The little fellow hated it and he knew it was wrong, but when he was given the opportunity to go to a neighbouring church with a another priest, he said he’d stay where he was because he didn’t like the look of the new father.
Jamie MacMaster at 1013 PM.
You’ve got it all screwed up, Dude. You can’t flat out start sliming Christians with your stupid little story. However, if you change your name to Mohammed MacMaster it fits and should be OK.

Oh my. Sensitive little fellow, aren’t you? Story had nothing to do with Christians.
Nothing to do with Christians???
Were those priests you referred to Catholic or Anglican or Eastern Orthodox or what? Nothing to do with Christians you say? Give your head a shake, Mohammed.

Gosh, so “outraged”. Knickers all twisted, I bet.
Looks like James is a mohamed in disguise, well not really ‘cus I can see it from here.
MUSLIM GO HOME!
The sooner we can get you all back into the middle east the sooner we can turn it into a glass bowl.
Funny thing that, when a lieberal strategist sobers up and gets a hold of a soapbox, or microphone the effect is like taking the cover off a fresh turd: noticed, but theres no cheering.

Gosh. Another thinker. No doubt a lady of action, too…

I have yet to see a ‘lieberal strategist’ sober up. Kinsella and his ilk started spewing this crap back in Trudeau’s days and they’ll still be dribbling it when they croak. A state of perpetual ‘in the groove’…or should that be rut?
