Heh. Update:A insight into how worried Democrats are.

I see where the MSM is commenting rather negatively in regards to Perry. Even more than Bachman.
This can only mean they are more afraid of him.
Go Perry
Perry is starting to look good to me. Romney is a Red Republican.
WHAT!!!? When did this miraculous innovation called “pork chop on a stick” come into being? Apparently I’ve yet to live.
And saying that in Texas, Bernanke would be considered a traitor for printing so much money bodes well for his chances.
While Perry has some definite upsides, if as reported by Pam Geller, his position on Islam, like GWB’s, is a little too squishy, I’m a little concerned.
Considering that he has created 40% of all the jobs in the USA since 2008, and considering that he says that the Moslem religion should not even be recognized as a religion. And the coyote thing, I think his straight talk will go down well. Today he said that No B*lls Obama has been conducting an experiment on America….
If conservatives are waiting for the perfect candidate, they have plenty of time – all the way to 2016.

I’m ready to say “Perry is my guy” today.(I’ve concluded my analysis that MB isn’t the candidate I’d support)
“Who’s comin with me? – Tom Cruise
BTW, I’m taking the f’n fish!
Finally, the Republicans have a candidate that might capture the imagination of enough voters to upset the current President!
If Perry would pick Gary Johnson as his VP running mate, the U.S. might finally have a chance to get out of the financial mire they’ve been in the last twenty years.
Watch out for Paul Ryan…He seems to be on the verge of declaring. Could be a battle royal.
Not sure about Perry, seems like a ringer for the MSM. IMO
Well that didn’t take long:
“Republican White House hopeful and Texas Governor Rick Perry faced disbelieving and angry reactions Tuesday to remarks seen as threats of implied violence against Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke.
“If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I don’t know what y’all would do to him in Iowa — but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas,” Perry told supporters. “I mean, printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treacherous — or treasonous, in my opinion.”
The eyebrow-raising comments, visible in a video that was widely available on the Internet Tuesday, drew fire even from Republicans, though most of his rivals for the party’s presidential nomination initially kept quiet. Tony Fratto — a former spokesman for Republican President George W. Bush, who named Bernanke to the Fed chief post — took to Twitter to call them “inappropriate and unpresidential.”
“Bush political guru Karl Rove warned on Fox News Business television that Perry’s Bernanke comments sounded like he was going to “take him out behind the barn and whup him” and warned the candidate “did not help his cause.” “To accuse Bernanke of being a traitor to his country — treason is a crime punishable by death — to say you are going to treat him pretty ugly if he was down in Texas, this was unpresidential and unnecessary,” said Rove.

What Bernanke’s ZIRP has done to seniors living on savings in the US is nothing short of criminal.
Oh well, poor Bernanke won’t be invited to any Texan barbecues. Cry me a friggin river. And there was no “threat”.. damned mediawhores.
You’ll have to forgive Davenport. She thinks inflation means everybody has more money. Math wasn’t a big part of her Fine Arts degree I’m thinking.
Lip service for the TEA party although Perry’s probably the best of the bunch on the Right side of Washington’s Vaudeville show; because unlike Ron Paul, the MSM shows that he exists so he has at least a fighting chance.
In my view, he is still an “establishment” candidate though and America will continue it’s decent into ruin if he were to win. He will be forced to serve the oligarchs of globalization like Obama does now and Bush did before him. He will be told months in advance that they are “allowing” him in the game so he better play by THEIR rules.
Washington can’t make the TEA party go away so they are going to swoon them with a tough boy from Texas. Oh and unlike Ron Paul, he is younger and more camera appealing…All the ingredients necessary for the illusion of “Democracy” to continue.
Suckers!
Interesting how most of us believe that government can only create jobs through the civil service, which fundementally creates a drag on the private sector. Yet it is unquestioned that Gov. Perry has “created” more jobs then any other Govenor in the states in the last few years. Would it not be better stated that he has put policy into position to allow the private sector to grow?
I was just a kid when Diefenbaker dominated….it was not really a cult of personality but did have some of the disturbing features…
WW2 and Hitler was a recent matter, Stalin and Mao were features of global politics…making any cult of personality suspicious.
Cuba’s Castro was a disturbing role model for dangerous personality cults….CHE???
Then came Trudeau Mania…and “The won”….
I have always subscribed to the “Leader of Equals” prinicple….cults of personality seem dangerous.
Yeah I know all these icons have a machine/clique supporting them…but it ain’t populist or democratic.
By the way Davenport, do you consider the -myriad- Democrats calling Republicans “hostage takers” and Tea Partiers “terrorists”, “”inappropriate and unpresidential””?
Because Barry is one of ’em. Republicans are “hostage takers”, Barry said so on a variety of occasions. Tea Partiers are “terrorists”, Joe Biden said so.
And by the way? Deliberately debasing the currency of your own nation -is- treason. Except, apparently, when DemocRats do it. Or Liberals, witness Paul Martin and Jean Chretien. And Trudeau, previously.
Leo G: Agreed – definitely! Though as long as there is clarity that the jobs are private sector, your assertion should be inferred. But yeah, the first question that jumps into most non-leftist minds when hearing that such-and-such politician “created” n-number of jobs is likely whether the jobs are public or private sector. At least that’s the case for me.
Leo G
and nazi’s are Left-wing, but who cares about these minor details eh?
Regarding Perry’s quoted comment: IMO that’s exactly the type of response regular Americans are looking for. Someone who talks straight, not just talks about being the “straight talk express”. IMO America is looking for someone with M.Bachman’s fire, principles and backbone; but, also with a track record similar to that Pawlenty repeatedly accused MB of not having.
IMO the Democrats did themselves no favors imploring Americans to be “civil” after the Gaby Gifford shooting incident. Unfortunately for the Dems, those appeals for “civility” were instantly disregarded by the Left as ‘obviously being for the Right’. THIS had never been more blatant than the fact that the August 2 cries of “economic terrorism” were ironically the news seg-way for the ‘Gaby Gifford’s Return to Congress’ story on every news cast that evening.
It’s clear to anyone watching, that “civility” is out the window regarding politics in the USA. Furthermore, contrary to what Rove and Davenport think; a candidate who is unable to ‘talk straight’ and call it like THEY see it, will be viewed as weak, and rejected by the American people in 2012.
America wants a Putin, not a Puttz!
As old Capt. Bligh used to say. “The Floggings Will Continue Until Morale Improves.”
“To accuse Bernanke of being a traitor to his country — treason is a crime punishable by death — to say you are going to treat him pretty ugly if he was down in Texas, this was unpresidential and unnecessary,” said Rove.
Punishable by death, theoretically.
In practice, just ask John Walker Lindh.
I agree with Texas Governor Rick Perry, what Bernanke is doing is traitorous.
Anyone who would monetize the U.S. debt the way Bernanke is doing, knowing it will destroy the U.S. economy and with it the security of the nation, is a traitor.
I actually like Michelle Bachman. I think she is WAY smarter than Obama. In particular I think she understands the economy. I don’t know anything about Perry — will check into him — but on the surface he looks a bit too much like the Republican establishment which I think a lot of voters will reject.
That quote will certainly get a lot of people taking a close look at Perry. Maybe the Republicans will not forfeit this one.
“Can I see it?”
“Sure. Pull a knife and demand my wallet, I’ll give you a close-up look.”
If the Old Queen MSM hate him , than Perry must have more going for him than it appears.
The press in my experance is always wrong, with their Marxist mindset.
I really don’t see a problem with Perry’s comment about Bernanke.
The Democrats (in full knowledge of what a total failure Obama is) do not want to admit they were wrong. Perry will be attacked, just like any other Republican candidate.
This is just the beginning.
I think Kate is right @ 11:34 and 1:07. No aspiring candidate will be perfect in the US and they never are here either. We as Canadians just have to hope our American friends realize that the country has its back to the wall economically and faces further monetary and social decline if it does not pick the right candidate for POTUS who can begin a recovery in many areas. The US needs a male or female statesman at this time.
However even this might not help in the long run, as look at Britain, they have had two people who would qualify at statesman in the last century, Churchill and Thatcher, and they are still in a mess because of the social decline of the bread and circuses motivated citizenry.
As far as Bernanke printing copious amounts of money is concerned. That is an excellent way to destroy the savings of the middle class and seniors.
I think Perry may be able to out debate Ozero’s telepromters
Perry funnelled billions into useless wind energy, created a entrepreuner fund which he used to pour money into companies that gave him kickbacks, and ´balanced´ one budget with Obamanomics stimulus funds and another by delaying the payment of billions in education costs by a day. Seriously. He is the definition of a crony capitalist. The fact that he, Romney, and Bachmann are the GOP frontruners is all the evidence one needs that America is screwed.
“Perry’s WINNING”
Sure he is…He’s already stealing from Ron Paul’s playbook by bashing the FED and Bernanke…Perry will milk this all through the campaign to woo the TEA party and steal the Ron Paul supporters. I like what he says, I’m just worried he will change back to ‘same old’ once he enters the WH.
And Donald Trump is already backing Perry…The same Trump who help “sabotage” the elligibility issue when Jerome Corsi released his book which had headlined on the Drudge Report a day or 2 before.
Trump works for the corrupt Washington establishment IMO.
Like I said RHTT, I like Paul, he’s just not my guy. Today, to me, it looks like it’s between Romney and Perry. Romney seems a little wishy-washy on some large issues, but I admire his business acumen. I don’t profess to know either of these guys very well, but I’m sure that will work itself out over the next few months as well. Today, Perry seems like the top candidate to me.
I see where the MSM is commenting rather negatively in regards to Perry. Even more than Bachman.
This can only mean they are more afraid of him.
Go Perry
