They must have choked on every word – BBC;
Scientists say current concerns over a tipping point in the disappearance of Arctic sea ice may be misplaced.
Danish researchers analysed ancient pieces of driftwood in north Greenland which they say is an accurate way to measure the extent of ancient ice loss.
Writing in the journal Science, the team found evidence that ice levels were about 50% lower 5,000 years ago.
They say changes to wind systems can slow down the rate of melting.
They argue, therefore, that a tipping point under current scenarios is unlikely.
While modern observations by ship and by satellite give us a very accurate picture of the recent state of the ice, historic information is limited. The ice comes and goes without leaving a permanent record.

Makes perfect sense to me.
The BBC has a split personality . . .

This is only breaking news to the BBC. It’s common knowledge to everyone else.
But, but, but…..the POLAR BEAR ate the English child (yeach!) because GOREBULL VORMING forced it!
More proof that climate alarmism was a scam from day one.
The flakes have been had and now the hadders do not know what to do or say.
So, Al Gore has resorted to swearing #@%&*

Hahahahaha. That plus NASA’s findings have made my month.
If they are saying that a tipping point under current scenarios is unlikely, then what I’m thinking is that that’s only the tip of the iceberg. I’ll bet what’s really going on is that the ice is expanding. I’ll bet, I’ll bet, I’ll bet. Oh, pun intended…
They’re scienticians. You can’t trust them! Clearly this is part of a conspiracy to make us think that global warming ISN’T happening so that the UN can take over the world when it finally happens! Don’t let Them fool you!
Well, it’s obvious they reached the right conclusion, but I question how they got there: “”Driftwood cannot float across the water, it has to be ferried across the ocean on ice, and this voyage takes several years, which means that driftwood is actually a signal of multi-year sea ice in the ocean and it is this ice that is at risk at the moment,” said Dr Funder.”
Huh? Why do they call it “driftwood” if it doesn’t float? There’s no scarcity of driftwood along the Pacific Coast of B.C., where the sea hasn’t frozen in living memory.
I also question the notion that driftwood from North America is largely spruce, and that from Siberia is largely larch. There is plenty of larch here in Canada, and plenty of spruce in Siberia.
Of course, it could simply be misquotes on the part of the BBC reporter. Not that such a thing has ever happened in the past, though.
Alex
The UN is more concerned about making the World halal for Islam than it is World domination. Islamists are into that. The UN is into money.
The Global warming scam dies more every month.
As its shown for the lie it is.
Just wait Alex & soon the left will have another man made crisis they have invented. Than you can get on that band wagon.
Another Einstein type will have to create a new realm of physics in order to properly study mechanisms of heat transfer and relate that to an area of study as huge as climate – these definitive ‘consensus’ jokers are either not smart enough to realize current limitations, or they are craven grant grabbers, perhaps both.
They’re already promoting the next man-made “crisis”, Rev. It’s called “ocean acidification”. Just as much BS as the last three crisies, but no matter, it’s new to the public so they’ll fall for it.
“Just wait Alex & soon the left will have another man made crisis they have invented. Than you can get on that band wagon. ”
Naw. We’ll keep doing what we’re doing, and you’ll keep trying to fight it, until, in another 20 years or so, you and your compadres will be too senile to keep getting in the way, and your children will shake their heads as they continue our efforts to try and fix your mistakes. They’ll look at all your blathering and vitriol with a faint horror somewhat abated by limited understanding – the kind of emotions which modern teens and young adults feel for the racist and sexist attitudes of the previous generations. People rarely change their minds; it’s usually the new generations – born mostly free of the old biases – that end up making the big changes.
