Egypt has more Christians than Israel’s entire population. There have been numerous attacks, with the latest in Cairo leaving 12 dead, 220 wounded, and two churches burned. The Western media generally attributes this to inter-religious battles. Yet Egypt’s Christians, so totally outnumbered and not having any access to the power of the state, have generally kept a low profile.
It is hard to believe that gangs of Christians go out and attack Muslims, especially when the fighting revolves around mobs attacking churches. “How can they say we started it when we are defending our church?” asked one Christian.

All religions are clearly not equal, when you have one that not only is totally intolerant of others but believes it right to attack and murder those of a different religion. I am neither Muslim nor Christian but am not blind to this major difference.

Curious thing I discovered a while back visiting Eygpt.
Copt(Eygptian Christian) Tattoo-artists only do one type of tattoo….crosses on the underside of the wrist…..on young Copt women.
This is to prevent the Copt girls from being abducted, forcebly married to moslems and placed in secure purdah(locked up). The tattoo cannot be safely removed without litterly cutting the girls wrists.
Problem is then dead girls (their throat cut) show up with a cross tattooed on the wrist ….lovely people……

Christian population in Syria is about 12% of the population. They are allied with Assad who’s Allawite(?) tribe is about 15%. Syria’s rulers are a coalition against the Sunni majority who they disposed back in the 70’s(?).

If Islam was a child, its report card would read “Does not play nicely with others”.
If I were a believer, I would likely hold with the view expressed by some Christian missionaries who spent many years in the ME, that Islam was a creation of Satan and put on the planet to eliminate Christianity and Judaism. Given my lack of faith, I consider Islam to be simply the retrograde cult-following of a deceitful and murderous warlord and until reformed like other faiths or at least contained to it’s basket-case hell-holes, a real threat to Western civilization and reason.
