  1. “…They can be communists as far as I’m concerned.”
    Well, that’s a relief!
Too bad we don’t have any information about whether signs for other parties (if any) were left untouched.

  2. I’m serving as a deputy returning officer on polling day. The story says the fired official confused federal and provincial regs, and as I sit looking at what I am expected to know after a scant 2 hours of training and a whole lot of reading of regs, I’m inclined to believe that.

  3. Bill D. @ 7:51 said “Where in the hell are the Libs getting all this money for this campaign ? This information is supposed to be in the public domain , no ?”
Who needs money? Blitz all media types with ads and by the time an invoice arrives at Liberal Headquarters, the election will be over. With E.C. being so tolerant with the Liberals, they can pay off the invoices over the course of 25 – 30 years. I can’t imagine many donating to this train wreck. The unfortunate thing is, some poor slop will lose his job because he extended Credit to the Liberals.

  4. Can someone tell me why EC has hiring priorities based on the previous election?
** Deputy returning officers – Hiring priority will be given to suitable persons whose names were recommended by the candidate of the registered political party whose candidate finished first in the electoral district in the last election.
*** Poll clerks – Hiring priority will be given to suitable persons whose names were recommended by the candidate of the registered political party whose candidate finished second in the electoral district in the last election.

  5. Sloppy Joe Volpe says to self, “Gotta remember this trick for the next time I get caught removing elections material from private property … I thought this was a provincial election – ya, that’s what I’ll say … hmmm … la la la, teehee … I’m so smart … and pretty … (brain goes back to blank.)”

  6. Who is this impostor Grant? Away, you shallow scoundrel!
    The kind and generous Grant.

  7. These polling irregularities and the actions of Elections Canada have me thinking about the third world and our out of control public sector spending at all three levels of government is just reinforcing this thinking.

  8. And Elections Canada tells us who wins the election…they have the ballot boxes. Pretty sad when you go to vote and wonder it your vote will even be counted.I don’t trust them, especially Maynard.

  9. Another story which won’t make national headlines at CBC.
But more broken Dosanjh campaign signs will!

  10. Those signs were messing up the scenery and breaking my mind!
