Still that party is a remnant fringe of hard left ex-communists and is the junior part of the ruling Norwegian coalition with 6.2 % of the vote last time. It is not the mainstream social democratic party in Norway.
The moronic and infantile leftists are aligned with radical Islamists — who are clearly anti-Semitic — for the purpose of disrupting civilization. However, back in the day, I toured the Oslo fyord.
The prewar forts are still in place and manned.
The German invasion force, embarked on an invasion fleet was sailing up Oslo fyord at night. They passed the first forts unchallenged but the second group, lit them up with searchlights and then delivered a withering fire.
The leader, the heavy cruiser Hipper drifted out of the narrows ablaze, and sank taking with it’s burden of about 1000 troops. The wreck remains a the bottom in real cold, real deep water.
That was effective resistance in my book and the loss of a capital ship is not trivial.
I should have checked my references….memory fails at times.

(about 0500 hours) Norwegian coastal gun batteries and mines sink German heavy cruiser Blücher and light cruiser Karlsruhe near Oslo.
The Hipper was put out of commision for a long time after an encounter with the Brit destroyer Glowworm….
Many factors frustrated the defence of Norway but the Kiegsmarine lost most of it’s destroyers in the process. The RN carrier furious was sunk by the Scharnhorst….which was subsequently heavily damaged near Narvik.
Norway’s sparse population hampered it’s operations….but it was always a serious problem for the occupying Germans.
Wartime events in wartime Norway make for rattling good history.
