  1. “(2) a policy favouring assimilation over multiculturalism;”
Oh really? What policy is that? Your ideological bedfellows have been promoting the “salad bowl” model over the “melting pot” model for decades in the US. I’m afraid your “Exhibit A” doesn’t hold up, and even the most cursory drive through an American city of any size would bear that point amply.

  2. Davenport, what else do you have to say about Churchill?
It would appear your intent is to try and paint a negative picture of him. Let’s see what else you have then, because you are going to have to do much better than you just did.
    Waiting…

  3. Ya Davenport Churchill did so what? One of the internees went to Ottawa and invented waterproof plywood which led to the development of the mosquito bomber, so whats your point?

  4. Winston Churchill, on “Mohammedanism” (Is it ok to quote from Winston here?)
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog …
The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property‹either as a child, a wife, or a concubine ‹must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men …
No stronger retrograde force exists in the world …”

  5. 1735099 @ 5:30 – remind me, which terrorist attacks did adherents to radical Judaism carry out in the early 20th century?

  6. Why does anyone even respond to this idiot Davenport?
The writing is clearly on the wall for Europe. Even their idiot “Davenports” are waking up now far late in the game. Many people would like to gloat over the poetic justice of their Liberal madness but the reality is an abominable crime against humanity. Not for the Davenports but for the millions of sensible people who were too tired or lazy to pay attention simply trusting the crazy left to drag them into these sewers.

  7. The Phantom>
“Yeah? Show me -how- it doesn’t work, Davenport.”
    Bingo.
Canada has nearly as many guns per capita as the US, what we don’t have is racial crime statistics as does the US.
Research and read the US FBI racial crime statistics for a shocker. It’s not the millions of gun owning law abiding white people committing the violent crimes plaguing the US.
The US is about assimilation as much as Americans believe they still have true freedom and liberty. That is why you can go to purely Spanish speaking schools, clinics, shops etcetera throughout southern California, New Mexico and Texas.
Whether it’s Spanish or Ebonics, large ghetto’s or barrio’s, the moronic argument of American assimilation from the left is simply another lie to shove down our throats to sell fatalistic idealisms.

  8. Right on Knight 99. We had to IMPORT a racial problem, and we had to feed it with welfare for thirty years and water it with two tier justice.
So now, thirty years later, Toronto finally looks like Atlanta. Thanks Liberals!

  9. Something the lefties have never figured out:
Extremists don’t acquire acquire power DESPITE the efforts of the progressive left. They get there BECAUSE of the efforts of the progressive left.

  10. I know what the captions were saying, but I am convinced he was really saying he wanted to invade Poland.

  11. Davonport it’s nice to see a leftwinger admit their is a problem with anti-semitism in Eurabia, us rightwingers have been articulating for a decade that the leftards’ marrage to the Islamofacists has created the environment for the next holocausts. Thanks to the unhholy union between leftwing political parties and the Islamists anti-semitism is a record levels exceeding those of the 1930s.

  12. Many miss the point here. It is religious intolerance due to perceived or real wealth disparity. In short it is mostly about the money.
Religion is being used to divide the poor and many radicals are creating future terrorists. I am quite sure this will all end badly for Europe for it is under assault from within – even from the delusional progressives.

  13. Immigration curtailment is not an affront to freedom dude Yes it is. It’s an affront to my ability to associate with people. Unless those people are criminals, terrorists, or dangerously infectious then the government has no right to keep those people out. Both Europe and Canada have immigration policies that are still too restrictive. Too many hoops to jump through. And the anarchist element in modern Libertarianism is something I fight.
@Phantom: Tents? If you want to wear it, go ahead. The state has no right to stop anyone from wearing a ‘tent’ unless it is vital to obtain an ID. It’s too bad you made such a silly point as you were on a roll regarding this Stradler troll.

  14. Davenport, if Hitler himself told you 2+2=4, would it equal four?
Or would it equal some other number?
If someone else, oh, say, Obama, said that 2+2=5, would that be the correct answer?
    Or would 2+2=4?

  15. Yes it is. It’s an affront to my ability to associate with people.
No it isn’t. You (and they) are free to travel the world to “associate with people”. It doesn’t mean they (or you) have the right to claim permanent residency and citizenship whenever and wherever they choose. The “no borders” pipe dream you advocate would have the entire Third World crowding into Western countries overnight, as if we haven’t already been importing enough ingredients for future balkanization. This notion of open borders is a perfect example of why you can forget about libertarianism ever being anything more than an exercise in mental masturbation. You might as well hang it up, because it’s never going to exist anywhere other than the Internet.
If the “sovereign individual” ever really existed in the way libertarians like to imagine then banishment wouldn’t have been the virtual death sentence that it was, back in the old days. It’s a mythology equal in magnitude if not substance to the liberals’ own imagining of “the collective”.

  16. Stan: “Davenport, if Hitler himself told you 2+2=4, would it equal four?…”
If you cannot distinguish between a mathematical fact and a political opinion, then you are truly hopeless.
The Phantom: “Yeah? Show me -how- it doesn’t work, Davenport.”
Um, I already did. The US. Has. More Guns. Per Capita. Than most any. Other. Country. Almost triple compared to Canada. Still, problem of radical terrorism NOT SOLVED. Ergo: giving everyone guns is NOT a solution.
I hope speaking more slowly helps you to understand this basic idea. If not, I try speak caveman?

  17. Davenport, the US has allot of things more than Canada does. You ignore the FBI racial violent crime statistics, and gun crime statistics in showing Liberal cities within the US as overwhelmingly the most violent.
The relationship between race, liberal welfare entitlements and guns is undeniable.
The guns don’t commit the crimes, the criminals who go through the revolving door welfare and judicial systems do.
“right wingers” or conservatives did not plague our societies with these criminals, the left did this to us.
Now you want us defenseless to protect ourselves from the animals your ilk has unleashed on us. Well….. get stuffed.
Like it or not, it’s your friends and family that will also endure the continuing degradation of our countries.
If your naive enough to think that you will ever rid the criminals of the guns that will cause you harm by legislating the law abiding people of our countries there’s no helping you.
Instead we will take it upon ourselves to ensure our own security dispute you, and yes common sense will prevail.

  18. Multiculturalism is a slow death for western civilization. Egypt, Greece. Rome………all done thru indirect or forced immigration.
Stop it till our children’s children die at the hands of these backward cultures!
This is NOT racist but a harsh reality of what may be! Wake up before we perish!

  19. You (and they) are free to travel the world to “associate with people”.
I shouldn’t have to. This is similar to the asinine arguments against free trade. The government cannot have a rational reason to keep people out other than criminal/terrorist past or easily infectious disease. The only support for it comes from xenophobia.
Immigration disasters are the AGW of the right. For every wave of immigrants, always a catastrophe just around the corner, but never actually arrives. So what if the whole 3rd world came here? We’d just assimilate them like any other and it would make Canada bigger and stronger.

  20. Davenport:”The US. Has. More Guns. Per Capita. Than most any. Other. Country. Almost triple compared to Canada.”
BEEEP. Wrong. Outside high density urban areas (of which Canada has like three) guns per capita in Canada and the USA are about equal. As are crime rates. Rural gun ownership is ~ equal. Look it up.
90% the violent crime in the USA is concentrated in high density urban areas. Historically Canadian cities didn’t have this problem, but its been creeping up the last 20 years to American levels. Look it up.
Cities in Canada have much lower gun ownership rates than rural areas, double digits lower. The most crime occurs in the areas of least gun ownership. Look it up.
“If you cannot distinguish between a mathematical fact and a political opinion, then you are truly hopeless.” Sadly, the facts are not on your side Davenport.
By the way, this data is what proves Mr. Stadler wrong. It isn’t religion or race that creates the problem in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, its the liberalism. No welfare, no special deal, no problems.

  21. “Rural gun ownership is ~ equal. Look it up.”
Proving what? Per capita crime rates in the rural US are higher than per capita crime rates in rural Canada. Since rural gun ownership is roughly equal in both countries, then clearly gun ownership isn’t “solving” the higher crime rate in the rural US.
“Historically Canadian cities didn’t have this problem, but its been creeping up the last 20 years to American levels. Look it up.”
Even in Canada’s worst towns/cities, violent crime is still nowhere near the worst in the US. Violent crime rates indeed climbed in the early 2000s, but overall have been declining again now for several years in many Canadian cities.
“Cities in Canada have much lower gun ownership rates than rural areas, double digits lower. The most crime occurs in the areas of least gun ownership. Look it up.”
Yawn. Correlation, not causation. Fewer crime are committed in rural areas not because long gun ownership somehow acts as a deterrent; it’s because there are fewer people all around, and the populations that do live there tend to be older, more stable, and more homogeneous. The most crime also occurs in the areas with the fewest bales of hay. Maybe bales of hay deter crime.
By the way, homicide rates per capita are roughly equal between CMAs and non-CMAs. Has been for the past 10 years or so. I’ll even save you the trouble of looking this one up: http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/85-002-x/2010003/article/11352-eng.htm#a3

  22. “Per capita crime rates in the rural US are higher than per capita crime rates in rural Canada.”
Nope. Rates per hundred thousand are closely similar, particularly if one looks at contiguous border populations. I can go on for days, ma’am.
I commend to your attention the works of Dr. Gary Mauser at Simon Frazer, and Dr. John Lott for a well researched point of view contrary to your own.
If you want to come to knowledge the hard way, I suggest you do what I did: read -everything- in the medical literature on gun control, and check their statistical methods. You will rapidly discover as I did that you could use that body of work to teach a very thorough course on junk science, its methods and aims. Also how to lie with charts.
Or, you could carry on spouting Liberal Party talking points to somebody who’s been at this particular issue since 1992.
You my dear have been systematically lied to about firearms and self defense your entire life. You might want to consider the motivation of people who would lie on such a scale.
You’d be crazy to take my word for it, so just start with any study by Arthur Kellermann since 1970. Read it, then drop a line at my blog telling me how awesome he is and what a goof I am.
What are the chances I could be right and you could be wrong, after all? I’m just another red neck truck drivin’ popcorn eater, right?
