  18. It was a “Holiday Tree”, as KS says, but WHAT holiday they were celebrating is unclear.
    Hallowe’en? Turkey Day? Ash Wednesday? July fourth? Ramalamadingdong?
    PC denial of any reference to Christianity has me ready to consider the Islamic way of settling differences.
    Unfortunately, we don’t have a “Holiday Tree” here, they call it something else.

    I’ve never heard of a Saint Valentine’s or Saint Patrick’s Day tree.
    How did this kid become radicalised if his parents are moderates?
    Are people now convinced that terrorists are bloodless monsters who hate Christmas more than if not as much as a leftist? The leftist, however, doesn’t have the intestinal wherewithal to cause violence.

    Would the Lefties be making a fuss if the FBI set up a sting where a kid named Harris and another kid named Klebold got busted trying to blow up a high school?

    Any bets on the sentence for this kid? 3 1/2 years anyone?

  21. Right, Phantom; the only people who would be hurt after an explosion at the Portland Kwanzaa celebration would be a handful of white elementary school teachers who had gone to pick up ideas for their classrooms.
    And, of course, “homesickness” is the right answer to the poll question. Mr Double Muhammad was sick of the home that gave his sorry arse shelter, almost as sick as that home should be of him.

  22. Spent some time doing a Web search on the Salman al Farisi Islamic Center. Seems it was founded by or is affiliated with the Muslim Students Association at OSU. There is not very much about the particular brand of islam being peddled there, but the links page for the MSA, URL given below, has links to both CAIR and ISNA, both organizations with ties to international terrorism. CAIR, in particular, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial a few years ago in Texas.

  24. re. Kathy Shaidle @1:33 – I guess, and sincerely hope, that the small Mosque fire was an inside job. The article’s comments thread certainly does indicate that people are way past fed up, though.
