3. The US government statistics are all cooked. They changed the methods to get better results politically.
   http://www.shadowstats.com/ recalculates the statistics as they were before the methodologies were changed.

5. It’s quite funny but the comments section at zerohedge on the jobless claims topic has morphed into Juan Williams at 7:54. It’s particularly humorous how the Village Idiot keeps posting about Juan and saying “wrong thread-right topic”. It’s almost as if the lying on jobless is connected with the über political correctness at NPR.

6. You know, we can all handle a lil spin, hell they all do it, but I have pretty much come to the conclusion that in Obama’s Administation, if their lips are moving, they are flat out lying.
   Of course, that also extends to the Liberal Media, Democrats in general, Hollywood, Code Pink, GreenPeace, Global Warmers, the Russians, the Chinese, the N. Koreans, the Muslims, the NAACP, Moveon, ACORN, HuPo, Soros, Clintons, Gore, Suzuki, Cameron, Oh, I better quit, will be here all day on this list, Oh wait, one more, PELOSI , arrggg,, just licking my lips right now for when she has to give up that gavel, and all that free airtravel using the USAF as her personal carrier.
   Oh yea, one more thing, I heard Axelrod state on MSNBC that you will need to stay up late to see the results of the Nov. Elections. That’s code for vote early and vote often, all day. I wonder how many Lawyers the Democrats will have on standby ?

7. And somewhere in here is some “seasonal adjustment”.
   In theory seasonal adjustment is straightforward –
   fit something like an ARMA series with periodicity,
   subtract off the periodic part – but I would like
   to see the raw data. Whenever an announcer says,
   “The seaonally adjusted figures are … ” what I
   hear is “lies lies and we think you’re stupid.”
   If the raw data were given, I might not be so dismissive.

   We are witnessing the end of the Progressive International Empire (PIE). The PIE has disappeared down millions of entitled throats and there is no more PIE to slice. The progressives made one small error – they ate the PIE without paying the PIEman and now they’re broke. Sadly, that PIEman is one big ugly SOB and he’s coming to get his money.
