Amen! Two good news “freedom” stories in one week – the Chilean miners’ rescue and Geert Wilders….I don’t know if I can handle it!!!
Watching the videos of the judge reading Wafa Sultan’s definition I was impressed by Wilders’ ability to keep a straight face knowing that this was the icing on the cake for him.
Perhaps he channeled through his buddy up in the balcony, who could barely keep from cheering?

The sound we hear in the distance is the gnashing of teeth by Dutch Islamists and Dutch appeaser-dhimmis.
Geert Wilders is all p.o.ed today, going to jail made him Prime Minister of Holland in a walk. Now he’s gotta work a wee bit harder. I bet you he heard that announcement and said “Dang! Almost had them that time.”
And the Bill O’Reily segment is an example of the reason I don’t get cable. O.M.G. what a pack of harpies.
An interesting development to say the least. It makes one wonder if they’re doing it because they really, honest-to-goodness believe in free speech or whether they’re doing their best to make sure Wilders doesn’t go down as a martyr to free speech.

Whoopi and Joy don’t care if 70% of Americans are on Bill’s side. They believe those 70% should not be heard.

I am surprised Bill didn’t insert Terry Jones when the ladies on the program started talking about Constitutional rights. He missed a golden opportunity to accentuate his point about Obama.

Wilders not guilty on all counts – Update

The public prosecution department on Friday afternoon stated that Geert Wilders is not guilty of discriminating against Muslims. Earlier on Friday it announced he should also be found not guilty of inciting hatred.
Prosecutors Birgit van Roessel and Paul Velleman reached their conclusions after a careful reading of interviews with and articles by the anti-Islam politician and a viewing of his anti-Koran film Fitna.
They said comments about banning the Koran can be discriminatory, but because Wilders wants to pursue a ban on democratic lines, there is no question of incitement to discrimination ‘as laid down in law’.
On the comparison of the Koran with Mein Kampf, the prosecutors said the comparison was ‘crude but that did not make it punishable’.
Dealing earlier on Friday with incitement to hatred, Van Roessel and Velleman said some comments could incite hatred against Muslims if taken out of context, but if the complete text is considered, it can be seen that Wilders is against the growing influence of Islam and not against Muslims per sé.
On Tuesday, the prosecutors said the MP should not be found guilty of group insult.
The public prosecution department was forced to take the case by the high court after anti-racism campaigners protested at its refusal to prosecute Wilders.

I listen to FOXnews on Sirius in the mornings
while I drive to work and today the broadcast that segment from the view.
I wish I’d seen it …. but the screeching freekout on the audio was quite satisfying.
The on air people were doing serious contortions today to distance themselves from O’Reilly and whoever the guy was on the a.m. show called Bill an idiot and a nitwit for saying the truth about who killed Americans on 9/11.

Lefties walk off stage when righties stay and argue. Why? Because the left thinks it occupies the moral high ground, and that anyone who disagrees with it is digusting and not worth the time of day.
Regarding Wilders, as Andy McCarthy points out, it is not a complete surprise that the prosecution moved to acquit. It didn’t want to proceed. However, the prosecutors had to have balls – I think they may be in contempt of court. At least if the court convicts, it will be obvious to anyone with a brain that the entire thing is politically motivated, and fundamentally offensive to the principles of natural justice.
Great news for Geert Wilder – and Bill O’Rielly really ruffled some feathers. It was like watching a chicken coop empty out when you bang on the door – and then leave the door open – at night when they are roosting!! Too funny. Our Collie dog was completely addicted to fanning the feathers of roosting hens; he got into trouble for it (the hens got into such a tizzy that they didn,t lay eggs for a day or so) but he still went for hell of it every chance he got.
