  1. Fourth International Conference on Climate Change is under way.
Interesting videos and written articles on the Hartland Institute website.
Such as “Alarmist Letter Signed by Non-Climate Scientists, Published with Fake Photo”
    “Great Videos Challenge Warming Alarmism”
Go ahead, have a look at:

  2. Vitruvius, thanks for Clair de Lune performance. I sent the link as a supplementary gift to one of my granddaughters. She is seven today and loves to play the piano and can play many pieces by ear.
Like the phrase suggests in Dr. Zhivago, near the end of the movie, when Zhivago’s brother, the Cheka/GPU policeman is looking for Zhivago’s daughter who plays the balalaika says “it is a gift”.
    But then, I am prejudiced.

  3. Took my two widowed aunts to see the grand old man at the Orpheum in Vancouver oh, 15 or 20 years ago now. Actually, they bought my ticket, and now all three of them are gone. He could make you laugh your butts off one minute and make you swoon the next.

  4. Vitrivius Reader’s Tips with it’s Late night Radio classics is always a great place for music.
I learned with great sadness that legendary rocker Ronnie James Dio past May 16th from his battle with stomach cancer. He was 67.
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_ronnie_james_dio
A fantastic lyrisist and powerful singer, Dio wrote and sang mainly about life’s constant battle between good and evil:
“…The world is full of Kings and Queens, who blind your eyes and steal your dreams…It’s Heaven and Hell…”
    Vit,
It would be great if you could honour this legend who did’nt necessarely “burn out” but neither did he “fade away” by posting a song or two in the near future. Amoung his best work: Black Sabbath’s “Heaven and Hell” and “Neon Knights”, Rainbow’s “Man on the silver mountain” and solo DIO’s “Holy Diver”
    Here’s a good youtube link:

    Thanks Vit!

  5. Miss Hezbollah Rima Fakih, wins Miss USA…
“It’s a sad day in America but a very predictable one, given the politically correct, Islamo-pandering climate in which we’re mired. The Hezbollah-supporting Shi’ite Muslim, Miss Michigan Rima Fakih–whose bid for the pageant was financed by an Islamic terrorist and immigration fraud perpetrator–won the Miss USA contest”
… and there is that bit of information floating about the internet of her previous “competitive” pole dancing win, while Miss Oklahoma’s response regarding the newish Arizona immigration legislation is quite interesting. (the video is 1 minute).

  6. “Mojo in the Morning”, in Dearborn has the story… (and the photos for all you red blooded folks out there…)
“Congratulations to Miss Michigan, Rima Fakih who was crowned Miss USA on Sunday night! Rima is a Dearborn resident and the first Arab American to wear the crown. Much like Miss Michigan Kristen Haglund who won Miss America in 2008, Rima is a Mojo In The Morning listener who has joined us in studio and at events. Check out Miss USA Rima Fakih when she won Mojo In The Morning’s “Stripper 101″ contest in 2007…”
er, do her backers know what a pole dance is? will she tour her homeland?

  7. Our tax dollars at work. CBC has another story up about Mulroney and KHS. This one is about Mulroney’s legal expenses for the Oliphant inquiry. What I find interesting is that about halfway down the story there is a link to ” investigations@cbc.ca ” , I don’t know why it is there,I guess they are fishing for whistleblowers to disprove Mulroney’s lawyers expenses. Anyways,I wrote them asking them to investigate the CBC’s expenses in covering this story for a decade or so. thee is so much they could investigate, maybe they are just waiting for something to do. http://www.cbc.ca/politics/story/2010/05/17/mulroney-inquiry-legal-fees.html#socialcomments

  8. http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/
Today the English Defence League Website has been suspended, apparently because of an article that describes, using suras from the Koran, how Islam looks on the Kuffar (non-Muslims). This latest act of censorship is reminiscent of the way Geert Wilders’ short film, Fitna, has been demonised for revealing truth. Wilders juxtaposed Quranic quotes with acts of terror, the article in question did not even go that far. It seems that the thought police are about their work again, suppressing debate, denying reality, and bolstering established interests.

  9. As I’ve said before, in the ’60s, the hippies railed at the “pigs”. Now that the hippies control the establishment, they get the “pigs” to do their dirty work.
