As the old saying goes: “the opposition doesn’t defeat a government; rather a government defeats itself”. Little by little this is what is happening to Harper, and it’s delightful to watch them rotting from the core out. Ms. Guergis just might have enough spite to lay bear all of the conservative’s dirty laundry.

There are no politicians or journalists who are our superiors. And even lower on the totem pole are these ‘commentors’as in Jane Taber and Robert Fife. Nothing of what they do can be remotely described as ‘journalism’. They are public tarts pimping the liberal prostituted rot.
The actual member is innocent from all accounts and guilty of bad manners only. Someone metioned a miscarriage? If she suffered one it is a tragedy yet the jackels in the media still tear at the bruised and beleagured. Mr. Jaffer is not in parliament. It is hinted he married her because she won her seat. I do not know either one of them but if they were liberals, and they sure act like they have that mental and social persuasion, they would be given understanding and pity. The clucking of the media would be toward holding one’s opinion until all the facts are in. When Fife and Taber speculate on the possible improprieties of a MORTGAGE you know they are desperate and anxious to make a case for corruption in any way they can. When they have to dig that hard for it they try to make something out of nothing. There may be lots on Jaffer that needs to be dealt with. But they cannot wait for it to be investigted and played out.Thye have to lay it on thick with hints and insinuation. They would excuse the devil himself if he were liberal. ( it can be argued some fit that description over the years) Jane Taber’s behaviour is disgusting and there is NO excuse for Robert Fife. One of the reasons we don’t watch them or listen to them. I am saddened in a way for the whole business. Simply and old story. Sometimes occured in Britain in the early days of power for the Labour Party. When newly fledgling politicians tasted the heady heights, they wined and dined etc. No more local cafe for them. Power does something to people.

A little late on this post but: I have friends that work in all kinds of different jobs. They have to pass random drug tests, pee in a cup when asked. Why, in this day and age of all the coke/drug abuse, are we not asking our elected officials to pee in a cup before they can sit as an elected official in the House of Commons? After all, they are the ones that make the laws of the land…….
