  4. After all has been said and done, why won’t our Federal Government eliminate section 13 of the CHRA?
    The last Conservative Party national Convention voted to eliminate this fraud against Canadians.
    The speaker who introduced this motion at that convention received a standing ovation. How much proof of malfeasance is needed?
    What will it take to get Prime Minister Harper’s attention to this issue?

    You can haf all ze free speech you vunt; provided it ist ‘approved speech’…
    It’s so delightful to know that one’s tax dollars are used to trot out this rubbish.
    It’s not “free speech” when there is a penalty attached. This is an internal contradiction in terms.
    The entirety of the CHRC more resembles a black farce…

  9. She seems to forget she works for we the people not the other way around, any information they gather and collect on we the people should be quickly and freely given to us. Shame on Harper for allowing an arm of the government, without police powers and rules to govern them, gather information on Canadians merely because that ditch doesn’t like our political beliefs.

  11. PMSH is listening – it’s the Troika who protect the likes of Lynch, Jennifer. There is a majority of Troika in the house of commons – thus a majority of votes is Troika – can’t pass legislation without a majority!

  12. Melwide: a vote on this right now would fail. The political optics are terrible as very few people in Canada know what is happening and thus they would see the oppo parties accusing the CPC of attacking human rights. as someone once said – in the arena of public relations, when you have to explain your position you have already lost.

  13. Much of BCF’s piece is tongue-in-cheek, so I assume he’s kidding when he says that Jennifer Lynch is instructing her staff to not read BCF. In the first two pages of the scribd doc the body of the text is entirely redacted, as is the identity of the sender and the recipient of the email.
    This remaining bit, under the heading “Re: Stand alone computer & access to web sites”, says:
    “As to the action to be taken, what a bout (sic) an e-mail reminding people not to do so. I believe we sent one in the past???”
    There’s no way of knowing what “the action to be taken” is. Whoever sent the e-mail could very well be referring to – for example – a reminder to monitor BCF from non-traceable computers rather than the on-site computers.
    It’s absolutely appalling that the CHRC is spending any time monitoring BCF.
    And what the hell is this:

    What’s next? Is the ever-probing CHRC going to ask BCF and the National Post to cough?
    There really should be a full parliamentary hearing about the goings-on of the CHRC. Canadians have a right to know what websites the CHRC is “monitoring”, and the justification for it in each case. Let’s see the un-redacted e-mails and other documents.
