  1. They’ve nailed it! I’m sold. One question though – does this apply to Country Music? Gotta have my Country Music.

  2. “So much for playing my ABBA albums now….”
yes, stop immediately! you’re obviously the one who’s causing todays light snow and the slippery sections on the Perimeter Highway!

  3. I feel so ashamed for all the times my Watermelon Slim CDs were blasting from my car’s speakers. I didn’t know I was contributing to people dying.
    I didn’t know! I just didn’t know!

  4. Bill C. Thanks for the link. LMAO – then thought about it and…….here it is. Today’s satire is clearly going to be tomorrow’s reality.

  5. I am in the same boat as you, Sgt Lejaune; I just didn’t know. Those summer air conditioners have to go, open some well oiled windows.
Years ago my Dad used to say that all us kids (there were 10-12 of us when two families got together) needed mufflers. Now would be the time for some innovative quiet guys to get to work. Shut those kids up! And kill the music industry; we must save the silent ones, the good ones.
The flat earth clip was excellent.
I see silent $$ (no coins please!!) in this ‘industry’, has anyone silently written unca Mo and his pals Algore and Fruitfly? Unca Iffy and his Troika pals should be told too – they can shut up and set a good example.

  6. Anybody remember what happened after the big bands and jazz became popular?
    WWII.
Now THAT was a world-wide disaster!
    Top it if you can..

  7. Really though – The January edition of the British Spectator claims that PM Gordon Brown said before the Copenhagen conference that there were only “..50 days to save the world”. Ah well, so there it is, we’re doomed! Still, somehow the rivers and seasons continue to run their wonted courses.

  8. “Music and Noise are killing our planet”…
Which heading does Rap fall under?
Either way, just to be sure, let’s start the silenceing with Rap.
Then Hip Hop, then Thrash Metal. No wait, accordian polkas first, then Thrash. After that, you all choose.
But as for the last, and here I agree with different Bob (5:09 pm), Country music.
    Real Country, especialy Merle.

  9. Well, bad music IS air pollution. Just sayin’. Nothing personal to all the rap/hip-hop and AI pop fans. Just keep your tunes on head phones and we’ll get along. Otherwise heads will roll 😉

  10. yes, merle is the real mccoy alright….
…but don’t dismiss polka out of hand….i remember going to a number of Schmengi bros. concerts back in the 70’s….i tell you…when people heard Yosh and Stan Schmengi were coming to the Grange for a show every pretty girl for twenty miles around started curling their hair and shaving their oxters for the big event…..many an engagement and marriage was a result of meeting at a Schmengi bros. shindig…you get a bellyful of beer and pyrogi…holopchas slathered in sour cream and real rye bread that you just can’t get any more….then an hour or two of dancing polka it’s then romance just springs up like a section of red durham in a warm early spring…

  11. Not very confident as to the science behind this video…..but…..
    For me…….
to quote Bruce willis’ DIEHARD character, John Mclane…..
“If you want me to scream…play rap!”
BTW…Bruce Willis is reputed to be a very conservative Republican…..

  12. One of my associates remarked that I readily demonstrate why they call some of that noise…”head-banger music”….
    Hint:
I never intentionally bang MY head.
That said…..there was really good reason we listened to Hanoi Hannah rather than Armed Forces Radio out in the boonies. No Montovani…no heavy metal…..she invented easy listening.
It was the best of times….it was the worst of times…..sometimes the tunes bring back the good times…..
Maybe that’s why I listen to the radio, and seldon turn on the tube……happiness can be the blessing of a failing memory……

  13. Seriously… ANYONE? I don’t get it. Why music? Why would music cause environmental degradation?

  14. Ha Haaa!
Mockery is the best cure for crisis mongering.
Either conservatives are getting funnier, or some Leftists have finally had enough and come over to our side on AGW.

  15. the 50 day limit that Gordon Brown gave the world came and went without a whisper from the MSM

  16. kdl….
so you obviously enjoy the Schmengi bros as much as I do ?….do you know i have all the ‘Heppy Wanderers’ albums Yosh an Stan made during their heyday!…hopefully one day they will be remastered in CD format !
what a polka party THAT will be !
