1. The census person left mine on my driveway by the public road. They believed my “Private Property – no Trespassing” sign. I had it done online in 10 minutes.

2. Fair game for the dog while I work at clearing my throat…maybe grab some water so I can make sure it gets a clear command to platz.

3. I’ve heard lots of stories about pushy census workers in rural Saskatchewan and Manitoba this year. Including one where a census employee drove his/her low vehicle into long grass and burnt a farm down.

      If so, then his policies, cultural, political, and especially economic are tactics serving a strategy. Only China and Carney’s Canada, with whom, he brags to having a “strategic relationship”, responded with hostile counter tariffs rather than negotiations on trade. The U.S. announcing CUSMA now only on a yearly renewable basis; the economic uncertainty alone, will force Canadian businesses to move or set up branch plants in the U.S. and they will take their most productive employees, with them.

      * I’d wager that the farmland in Canada owned by China will fare better under the Liberals than that owned by native born farmers.

4. She’s wrong, though…Census Canada does not sell any information about her personally.

   They may give out information for free to private citizens or sell it to corporations, but it is information like the average age, income or ethnic origin of people in certain areas. There is no personal information given out at all.

I did the door-to-door torture five years ago (like an idiot I reapplied this year but they didn’t get back) and during the lockdownpalooza last time folks were understandably annoyed and ready to bitch and moan. I let them, and after five minutes they’d usually run out of steam to the point of just getting the damn questions over with.
   The biggest no no we were told was to NOT enter someone’s home. Conduct the questionnaire at the doorstep or on the porch.
   Always present your identification tag. Always wear the hideously ugly high viz vest. If respondent refuses to answer the questionnaire, calmly tell them that they will be marked as a “refusal” and representatives of Stats Can will be in contact and they aren’t as polite as me with the posibility of a five thousand dollar fine levied somewhere down the line. If they still refuse, just leave and don’t escalate any further.
   Shaniqua Shabadoo here in this video violated every single protocol and will never be hired by a government department ever again.

   1. Ezra has been trying to get them to fine him for not filling out the census for years. They won’t.

9. I was pestered several times by the census girl. I had the long form. So I finally decided to attack the form on-line. I made up most of my answers. Apparently it was accepted. My reasoning was that this corrupt, commie federal government doesn’t deserve true answers.

   1. Last week at the barbershop I was yapping about how I wasn’t chosen for this year’s census after working it five years ago and my barber asked a question I’d never considered.
      How do “they” know you’re not being truthful in your answers?
      I have no idea. What am I gonna do, challenge the respondent on an answer?
      As for the long form questionnaire, I found if the respondent or anyone in their household didn’t attend French language schools or isn’t a native, the long form pages get cut by about forty percent.

10. believe it or not, one year, the census was comprehensive. iirc the census district l was in: 666
    l was into prophesy, scripture etc at the time. (we all have our ‘phases’ eh?)

    l returned oen of the most scathing condemnations in its place DARING them to come at me
    when l refused to fill it out. they didnt.
    l since moved.

11. This is why it is a good idea to lock your doors, and have a dog. They’re not going to come in if there’s a dog barking.

    If they open your gate you can trespass them, I think. Fence and a gate, not a bad legal protection.
