  1. Sorry, I conflated two comments while skimming and mistook CTV for CBC in my suggestion to Simmy, easy to do as they’re pretty well identical nowadays except for our being forced to pay for the CBC. The advice still stands. Complain to the owners of CTV that comments are being green washed on the off chance that they don’t know it.

  2. If where to change this Country we all have to be like this guy. Unafraid to say what we mean, or see to friends or family.

  3. @ John Begley: Don’t get your knickers in a knot, John. My comment about Vancouver was tongue in cheek. You should check out the link.

  4. This all seems like a repeat of the ‘scientific’ boondoggle that a politican(Stalin) perpetuated for ideological reasons onto his Empire by insisting on the ‘absolute truth’ as spouted by his oracle(Lysenko). From the beginning this climate model has been driven by political ideology not facts. In order to push both theories ahead it was necessary to suppress the data. As far as the current situation goes, I believe that once again reality will ultimately triumph over ideology.

  5. How ghastly to read the comments from Americans seriously talking about “fleeing” to Canada. CANADA?
Wow, some people really are wimps.
The rest of us can stay and fight to regain our country.

Yes, that’s a valid comment about Gordo (yes, I am also calling him by his derogatory nick too), however, he has also turned leftward with his abhorrent carbon tax, and the HST. Many other examples, such as not closing government liquor stores. Why have private stores, if their prices are mandated to be higher than the gov stores? Competition?
Sorry, you just can’t call this government ‘right’ anymore. We have left, and leftist parties in BC, with a huge vacuum on the right.
Unless a populist right party appears out of nowhere, with a charismatic leader, like the Wildrose Alliance, the next election day looks like a great day to go fishing, because it will be 4 years of HopeyChangy in BC

  7. Expect the CBC to report that this is yet another homeless man holding up a cardboard sign for money because he can’t find a job. Clearly, what is needed are more stimulus packages so he can find work in the new green economy.

  8. Minnie, that link was pretty telling. The CBC journalist was directing us back to the same people that created the fraud in the first place.

  9. Louise, with all respect, I think we should rather encourage Mr. Begley to get his knickers in a knot as often as possible. The man has raised knickerknotting to an art form. He is the Da Vinci of the knotted knicker. Long may he flourish (or knot)!

  10. That dude is my hero!
CBC Radio had an interview yesterday with some leftist loser that thought the U.K should suspend Canada from the Commonwealth due to oil-sands and the sustained destruction of third world countries. Not one single question about anything even remotely resembling science was asked…

  11. Most of ya’ll back and forth (trying to be funny or whatever) is not relevant to the seriousness of the situation. They are trying to take over not only energy or the production of it, but in the larger sense…governments and the people within.
It’s not funny at f*cking all.
You had better get with the program and understand that they (who ever the hell they are)are only interested in controlling you and your family and friends and nation but making sure every dollar that you can produce will go into their pocket to be dolled out however they want.
Stop your bickering and joking and make a plan to stop this.
