In a failed attempt to sway the the IOC’s selection committee into awarding Chicago the 2016 Summer Olympics, which went instead to Rio de Janeiro (see Paul’s vid below), the ever-grinning Barack Obama landed in Copenhagen yesterday to deliver a four-“I” plea:
“I’ve come here today to urge you to choose Chicago for the same reasons I chose Chicago nearly twenty-five years ago – the reasons I fell in love with the city I still call home.”
Michelle Obama plied the “wife of I” gambit:
“I was born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, not far from where the Games would open and close,” she said.

Today one of the hosts, Lynn Samuels, went on an angry rant about Obama, calling him a “silver tongue in an empty suit” and an “a$shole”. She went on for over an hour about his arrogance and questioned his education as well as his motives. She even went as far as to say that he got to be President through affirmative action.

McChrystal, who has only met once with Obama in 70 days, and that, via video, was in London at a meeting. So, he flew to Copenhagen..and had a 25 minutes meeting with The Great One, on board Air Force One.
Obama, who, unlike Bush, has no military background, or military knowledge..or indeed, any knowledge of much other than How To Manipulate You to Admire Him….could only give him 25 minutes. I wonder if Obama has bothered to read McChrystal’s report..that’s been unread on Obama’s desk?

I am enormously gratified that someone, somewhere saw right through Oprah, Obama and Michelle and was not swayed by the bright glow they think they have around them. I wonder if they will wake up and realise the world doesn’t revolve around them. Could this be the moment they realise no one lives just for them? Could it?

I’ve been listening to lots of U.S. talk radio today. There’s much discussion about why Chicago didn’t get it. This naturally leads to discussion of the inner city decay there … and also in next door Detroit.
What do both cities have in common? They’ve both been run by incompetent, corrupt Democrat regimes for MANY decades. Yet, there are more than a few callers who are blaming the problems in these cities on … wait for it … Republicans!!!
I’ve come to the conclusion that some of the key ingredients of being a Leftist are:
