  4. When the crowd started chanting “Glen Beck,Glen Beck,” to drown her out that really must have smarted back at the CNN bunker. She seemed a lot more amiable than the usual prissy, leftist feminist missionaries they send out to cover (slag) non PC events.

    I was trying to imagine a Canadian crowd drowning out Keith Boag or Heather Hiscox (heck, I hardly watch the CBC anymore, so I’m not sure who they have on the beat). Now, that would be something … on the other hand, the CBC probably wouldn’t show the clip.

    As newt and rush have argued and the polls back it up, a large majority of Americans are conservative, but many of them do not realize it. Obama is helping them discover it.
    I would highly recommend watching rushs speech in January that started this whole thing – there is a link to it on rushs site. Probably the most important speech since reagans era (or perhaps during the contract with America in WJCs time).

  13. Even Breitbart had headlines saying the crowd was yelling “go home”. That’s not what they are yelling. They’re yelling “tell the truth”, and the reporterette even says so.
    Gord’s point is well taken too. They let her ask a question and gave her an answer. More than CNN deserved, IMHO.

    I wonder how the MSM would react if everybody just turned their backs on them and walked away? No chanting, no drowning out, just a biiiiig empty circle around Infobabe and people’s backs turned.

  14. Hopefully we’ll see some of the same here as the backdrop to a CBC reporter covering the election. Having said that, I’m not much of a fan of CNN either. But one program I do think ain’t bad is Reliable Sources. It’s not perfect by any means but at least their some discussion of media bias, including criticism of CNN itself from time to time. I’d like to see a program of its kind here, particularly at our “public” broadcaster. Examples of bias such as those by Erickson and Lawand among others could’ve been fleshed out. Then again if the CBC ran such a program it would probably target conservative media exclusively which, in this country anyway, is few and far between.

  16. Just a sec. Where is the looting? The burning cars? The obligatory Starbucks smashing? How can this be a protest? No police lines, no dogs, no teargas. Man these people don’t know how to protest! They are civilized! They just want to be heard and are foolish enough to think they can make a difference. No wonder the MSM ignores it, there is no violence… can’t sell squat with that. Did bambam look out of Marine One as it flew over?

  19. Norman, I’d suspect the Republican party wonks are f-ing terrified of this. They didn’t organize it, they didn’t script it, and it isn’t what they want.
    The Republican Party is going to be -dragged- and -beaten- into enacting conservative policies, they are not going to get out in front and run with the ball. Or possibly they will be crushed under the Juggernaut and replaced by an actually Conservative party.
    This is because the Republican Party is about bigger government, probably just as much as the DemocRats are. The difference is they aren’t insane Lefty fruitbats that hate America. They’re just average sleazy ward heelers caught up in a revolution.

He has been Alberta’s Premier for two years and people find him very forgettable. They will remember his policies for a long time though. The discontent is spreading far and wide.   36. Thanks, Gord Tulk. I tend to agree with their opinion, though I have a hard time believing Americans would flock to, say, Ron Paul en masse (Paul arguably being the only true conservative of the recent lot). Baby steps I guess.

  37. Right Honorable Terry Tory, it is good that Glen Beck says that. Limbaugh also says it, as does Hannity and a few more.
    It isn’t like the Republicans aren’t obvious about it. They LOVE big government. Tax cuts are a gimmick to them, not an effort to dismantle a bureaucracy that is choking the life out of their whole country.
    However, I feel I should point out for the trolls and lurking loser population that I don’t watch Glen Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh etc. because I don’t watch TV or listen to the radio. Its too annoying.
    I don’t agree with Glen and Rush. They agree with me. ~:)

  41. Friends who were at the march asked some capitol hill police if the number of people was as big as the inauguration.
    The capitol hill police (who were very friendly with the marchers) said that there were definitely as many people as attended the inauguration and possibly more.

  42. Here in the Yukon we have a ‘Stelmach’ Premier, named Dennis Fentie who is Dictator of the Yukon Party (our version of Progressive Conservative Party). Like Fast Eddie, Fentie is a lefty opportunist, Fentie was a Dipper for many years; even sat in the Legislator as a Dipper!!
    Our Premier was caught making up stories about not selling our hydro assets to ATCO (Direct Energy) and as a consequence one member of his cabinet, Brad Cathers, Minister of Mines and Resources, QUIT. We are waiting for more resignations because we all know that Fentie lied and anyone who stands with him lumps themselves with the lie…we are waiting. Brad took the majority status of the Yukon Party with him (he is sitting as an Independent); he has said he will rejoin the Yukon Party if Fentie will step down…I will keep you posted on updates to this very interesting story in a VERY subsidized jurisdiction of Canada.
    Any members in the Stelmach government reading this…could use the example of our very Honorable MP Brad Cathers. Brad won his riding in a landslide and he never stopped working for and with all of his constituents. He is worthy of the title ‘Honorable Member’ – the Premier has already painted himself – the MP’s who stick with him are lumping themselves with the liar.

  43. That woman did a very admirable job under those circumstances…but that’s what happens when people whose opinions are routinely ignored by the MSM get a chance to finally speak their mind in the media.
    Props to the guy who got on the megaphone and asked everyone to be silent so she could speak, you wouldn’t see that at a Code Pink rally.

  46. Fark had photos of what they said were nutbar signs at the protest. The one that got me was an overflowing garbage can. As opposed to the tons of crap left over at bambam’s celebration party all over the street it isn’t bad at all. I never knew FARK was kind of leftie but it is starting to show the signs of going that way. Too bad I enjoy the site it would be sad to see it ruined.

  47. Getting the Republicans back in would be a minor victory at best. Neither party has the best interests of the country in mind. When former President G. W. Bush can joke about dropping his free market principles in a garbage can, then perhaps the problem is that he didn’t have any principles to begin with. I don’t see other Republicans as being much better. A plague on both their houses.
    The United States needs a government run by the sensible half of the Libertarian Party. President and majority House of Reps, for starters. Senate will have to come later of course.
