so he’s thinking of other things he’d rather be doing than conforming…..so ‘fly’ would fit right in with my fido…it’s all about BOTH of us grooving on the moment….he taught me that….THAT’S how smart MY dog is…half corgi and half shiba ainu….a low rider….husky hair…great watchdog….lethal to small furry animals…so far skateboarders …squirrels rabbits a mink ferocious they may be…all have fallen before the ‘scoopster’……ducks and geese in their flight and cowardice til now have escaped his predations but by God he gives the attack his all….
i consider myself his loyal native bearer and beater….the ‘scoopster’ would look with a measuring eye at a tiger or a lion bigod….Kipling mentioned something about this…anyone know the lines?

Handsome dog, the neightbour has one that looks just like yours, it’s a mean nasty little thang. She’s worked with two different trainers, the dog’s Alpha and she’s beta and it’s her own fault she lets the dog rule her. It growled at me one day I grabbed it’s muzzle and clampped it shut and firmly yell NO, Sac’s never growled at me again.
Congratulations Kate & Fly. I know exactly what you are talking about when you said (less “spirit” than “asshole”). I have an American Eskimo, he is spirited, asshole, very smart and very cute! He uses it to his advantage all of the time. That is what we love in our dogs, and makes yours a winner.

I’ve personally trained many dogs. Terriers pose the greatest challenge because their obnoxious owners tend to be attitude laden to the max.
Give me this dog for 2 weeks and I’ll have it begging to behave!

Fly fishermen that are all about flyfishing are kind of pretentious assholes as a general rule.
The well rounded fisherman that isn’t afraid to be seen dunking live bait and float fishes, bass fishes and ice fishes makes them really great guys.
