Blog Notes

As Lance has noted earlier today, I should be home and back to running this thing full time by Sunday.
Thanks to all of the guest bloggers who’ve been filling in – your support is very much appreciated, and I hope the readers here will reciprocate by adding these folks to your regular reading rounds.
We’ve had a really good show circuit. A couple of days ago Carmen won the last points she needed for her title, and is now Am.Can.Ch.Minuteman Madrid

(photo from an earlier show)
… while a dog I’m showing for a friend (Am.Can.Ch.Kaydees When Yur Hot Yur Hot) also completed his American championship title today with a breed win (his second such win of the trip, and fourth major).
For those of you who follow the dog blogging here, he’s a son of Am.Can.Ch.Minuteman Fixation, who flew to China with me just over a year ago.
I doubt I’ll be back online in the morning – too early a start and I want to get on the road as quickly as possible. So we’ll catch you Sunday.
After I’ve had a long hot bath and a nap.

  2. just curious, i don’t know schnauzers, but do your show dogs undergo any mutilation for this glory?

  4. Congratulations, Kate! Beautiful dog.
You’ve got a great “kennel” of guest bloggers — who I’m sure are as beautiful as your Minutemen.
Hmm … I like the sound of that: MacMillan’s Minutemen. They’ve done yeoman’s service.

  5. batb – agree, MacMillan’s Minutemen. Perfect name. Congratulations to Kate and thanks to guest bloggers.
Oh, and Vitruvius is not a guest blogger but an integral part of Kate’s Blog. Same with EBD.

  6. “and a nap.”
This is obviously an imposter. The real Kate never seems to require rest.
But, just in case, congratulations, welcome back.

  7. One of my “kids” is a Mini Schnauzer, a very proud yet affectionate and loyal companion for sure.
Great job Kate and good to have you back!

  8. Congratulations on another successful tour. You are no doubt by now a name to be contended with in the breeding circles as well as the blogosphere. Enjoy your nap.

  9. Lovely dog. The looks of that breed are particularly sophisticated but recently settled on a two-year-old farm rescue mutt with some shelty, possibly beagle according to the vet [no, NOOOOO] and a pinch of spitz so says the pound supervisor. He gets a lot of compliments even while lifting a leg in the local PetSmart [are those people saints or what?] After three weeks he can sit and “down” and is now completing really adorable roll overs. The problems is now that when I produce a treat for training, he does all three tricks at once! Hahahahahaha.
