  1. In photos 3, 5 and 6, he’s clearly quite mesmerized by his hand. I wonder what that could mean? “Always wondered why they call them fingers. I’ve never seen ’em ‘fing’… oh, there they go.” – Otto

  2. not stirred, yes, I tend to get a bit angry over mass murderers and worship of their personality cult. Unlike you, who gets a tingle in your leg over Mao, Stalin and Che.

  3. Bob,
The left don’t hate history, they make it up anew each morning. What they hate is objective fact.

    “SPIEGEL INTERVIEW WITH OBAMA’S GREAT-UNCLE(sic)”
‘I Was Horrified by Lengths Men Will Go to Mistreat Other Men’
Barack Obama’s great uncle was one of the soldiers who liberated a subcamp of Buchenwald. One week before the US president’s planned stopover in Germany, where he is expected to visit the concentration camp memorial, SPIEGEL spoke to Charles Payne, 84, about his experiences in WWII.
SPIEGEL: Mr. Payne, early in June your great-nephew, President Barack Obama, will visit the former concentration camp Buchenwald, which you helped liberate at the end of the war. Will he be travelling in your footsteps?
Charles Payne: I don’t buy that. I was quite surprised when the whole thing came up and Barack talked about my war experiences in Nazi Germany. We had never talked about that before. This is a trip that he chose, not because of me I’m sure, but for political reasons.”

  5. Oh my goodness, pictures of Obama being casual during college. Damning indeed. Take a pill McMillan, you old bag.

Just don’t get it do you Freddy, you ass!

  6. pictures of Obama being casual during college. Damning indeed.
The damned part of it is that casual is not only Zero’s default being, it is his only state of being.
That is why we saw him pick his nose on stage at a rally yesterday or glad handing the Queen of England earlier.
The man has no sense of propriety nor does he respect the customs and traditions that go with the time and place of being.
With Zero, there is no circumstance, there is only Zero.
    We. Are. So. Screwed.

  7. “No I didn’t follow the link. I’m a leader not a follower.”
No, it shows that you’re lazy and as a result, completely missed the point.

  8. Spike, exactly. Gen X and Y have little historical context in which to place today’s events, thus TJ is elected. TJ and Sarkozy can reinvent history by omitting the one individual who lived the reality.

    Just kidding Kate–just kidding!

  10. Re: The lady changing the tire on the WWII lorry! Where is the man who has to tighten up the nuts?
A smart lady would simply find a man with a longer tool.

  11. DeGaul was the leader of free France and he was living in exile in Britain. There were French aviators that flew in the RAF but the French air force was disbanded upon the fall of France.

  12. Hey, he’s a smooove pimp who loves the ladies. Isn’t that what you want in a President?

  13. bluetech,
    No I didn’t follow the link. I’m a leader not a follower.

Lead us were? Straight to the gates of heel? Oops, I mean socialist utopia.

  14. The Pistols (the most important rock band of it’s era!) had it right in ’77:
    “God save the queen
    The fascist regime
    They made you a moron
    Potential H-bomb
    God save the queen
    She aint no human being
    There is no future
    In England’s dreaming
Don’t be told what you want
Don’t be told what you need
    There’s no future no future
    No future for you
    God save the queen
    We mean it man
    We love our queen
    God saves
    God save the queen
    ‘Cos tourists are money
    Our figures head
    Is not what she seems
    Oh god save history
    God save your mad parade
    Oh lord god have mercy
    All crimes are paid
    When there’s no future
    How can there be sin
We’re the flowers in the dustbin
We’re the poison in your human machine
    We’re the future you’re future
    God save the queen
    We mean it man
    We love our queen
    God saves
    God save the queen
    We mean it man
    And there is no future
    In England’s dreaming
    No future no future
    No future for you
    No future no future
    No future for me”
    John Lydon AKA Johnny Rotten,

  15. ‘Cuz, that’s right Gary…we can count on the Pistols and Johnny to define the Queen and history and sin for us.
    God have mercy indeed.

    bluetech,
The Pistols had far more valid social commentary on the issues of the day than you and your cohorts usual twaddle I’m afraid!
With the mental midgets on this site, I agree….God (insert diety of your choice) have mercy indeed!

  17. “I pledge to you […] that my whole life – whether it be long or short – shall be dedicated to your service…” — Princess Elizabeth’s first radio address to the Kingdom, Empire and Commonwealth.

  18. Gary – if you have such a giant brain – may I enquire if you have read the comlpete “Das Kapital”?

  19. But what about the moral equivalency angle;
Isn’t getting bombed on coke just as relevant as having a V2 drop on you? sarc/

  20. Don’t forget folks: One was elected and the other one wasn’t. Let’s not get too comfortable on the high horse.
There is a a big difference with the context of the photos. One is an amateur, vanity shot of a kid, and yes he looks stupid. The other is a staged photo to show the princess helping the war effort. Does she look like she’s applying true elbow grease? Does she look like she’s actually in the process of changing a tire? C’mon. I doubt she contributed much to the motor pool.

  21. The Pistols made some great-sounding noise. But who’s still around, them or the Queen?
As has been pointed out here and elsewhere, QE2 is head of state of not one but two of the principal military powers involved in the D-Day landings, who taken together dwarfed the presence of the Free French. Once upon a time Canada punched well above its weight in the service of freedom, something of which its citizens should be eternally proud.

  23. I concede that those photographs of the then Princess Elizabeth are staged. That is the least of the sins committed in that war. I remember.
If the morale of the British people had gone down, it would have been the end.
We were told that the Royal Family would remain, if the Germans invaded. The King was pictured at the rifle butts. He would be ready to “fire at will”. Churchill said that he would be ensconced in the catacombs. He would have his revolver- one bullet for the first Nazi and one for himself.
All good stuff. The anti-aircraft guns were not effective. Churchill was informed, wasting ammo he was told. He knew the Londoners- the poor one’s were cramped in the shelters. A knowing lad this Churchill. “Just keep on firing, keep on booming, quoth he.

I would warrant that the good Dominion of Canada was well and ready for the Royal Family and Churchill. We snots would have caught up on our dubious German language.

Well, the Canadians came over to rescue us “kippers” as I was cheerfully told. No hard feelings of course.

The Daily Mirror loved it every time a church was bombed. Well, there is a bit of my wonderful war.
PS> The Luftwaffe failed to shut me up. (LAUGHS)

  24. Seriously though!

I have to say I am worried for that superpower – the United States. I do not think President Obama has any idea of what a debasement of the currency can do. I remember the stamps one collected in England. The 50 millionen mark postage stamp, cancelled of course. Germany almost collapsed and here came Hitler.

Either a country can go on printing up money and the whole system is a lie, or if it is not…..

I was glad to see my relatives safe home from Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was shown a 1000 dollar bill- worth 11 dollars Canadian. What kind of a life style do these people have?

President Obama has not got a clue.

  25. Spike – you pointed out what I was going to add to this conversation. France collaborated with the Nazi’s.
For those of you who have been on the aunty smoking fanaticism for way too long … Churchill smoked, King George V smoked, FDR smoked, most WWI and WWII soldiers smoked, Paton smoked…Hitler banned smoking, Lenin banned smoking. Czar Nicolas chain smoked…smoking is a habit and the 0 is planning to tax tobacco to the hilt because he is a hypocrite! Leaders of the Free world gave cigarettes to soldiers..it quiets rattled nerves…laugh if you like, I know that it does a lot better job than drugs which is the agenda of the big pharma cos..some are too dim to get the connection..anything the msm is FOR, like smoking bans, you can be sure that there is no good in it for the citizens who pay the bills.

  26. Whilst I would like to be able to pin the snub on Obama I think it only fair to apportion blame equally to Obama, the frog weasel Sarkozy, and comrade Brownstainovich. Glorious leader (in hiding) of the former Great Britain.
ZaNuLabour and old Labour don’t much care for the military. Witness the shameful treatment of former Gurkhas. The British government was arm twisted into granting them the right to apply for British citizenship. They are quick enough to hand out British passports to economic migrants who travel half the world to gain access Britain’s welfare benefits, but soldiers who have put their lives on the line are, or were, not welcome. So it doesn’t surprise me that no one in the Foreign Office or at No.10 Downing street gave it a thought when there was no invite for Brenda. The Labour goverment is by and large a motley collection of ex student union marxists and assorted tossers who are soon to be seen gracing the local dole offices. Hurrah!

  27. I liked the WWII headline: “Buckingham Palace Again Bombed… Resolution Strethened by German Barbarity”. Nowadays, I’m sure the word “barbarity” would be in quotes, if indeed it were used at all.

  28. what kind of poetry or lyrics would anyone expect from someone named Johnny Rotten? Or a Joey Shithead for that matter? This is not talent, it is not even nonsense poetry, It’s infantile crudity,
but it is what one expects from anarchists. If you can’t add to the conversation Gary, just keep quiet and learn.

I’ve never commented on my brain size………..but THANX!
As for the book…….I haven’t read it, but I’ll guess that Johnny has due to the social comments he has made at the time (1977) when Britain was in trouble and the outlook for many youths was bleak! Hence his angry outlook on life.

Actually Dave, the remaining members of the Pistols completed a Tour in 2008, and anyone with ANY knowledge of the music industry knows that Johnny was always active after the Pistols broke up founding the band Public Image LTD, among other endeavors.
You are correct that the Queen and her racist/bigoted distant cousin/husband Philip are still around.

So, Larry seems to think that great writers must have great sounding names! Quick, someone tell all the publishing companies that we have a new criteria for them! They must also only publish what Larry deems worthwhile! Same goes for the music industry. You see, just because Larry is too thick to understand the underlying message in text/music, it MUST be garbage and dismissed. I’m sure he read the text I posted, but his mind cramped because he didn’t understand the context in which it was written. I’m here to help Larry! Take the line “‘Cos tourists are money” You see Larry, to an 18 year old with no future job prospects at that time with Englands economy in the dumps, it’s hard to comprehend all the pomp and glamour for the Queen and her paid for lifestyle all because an accident of birth while her subjects starve! Easy enough for you? So perhaps YOU should “just keep quiet and learn”!

  34. You commented on the size of SDA commenters’ brains, and found them lacking. I decided to ask you, since you are so wise /sarc.
Could you get Mr. Rotten to explain “Das Kapital” to me – all four volumes? Without using bodily fluids/solids? Thanks.
    Wot about Wills?
“to an 18 year old with no future job prospects at that time with Englands[sic] economy in the dumps…” – Sort of like now – again, thanks to Labour.
Long live Nigel Hanaford, Tory MEP South-East England!
