TORONTO (Reuters) – A Canadian man has pleaded guilty to playing a role in what police say was a plan to bomb major landmarks in Toronto’s downtown core three years ago, the Globe and Mail newspaper reported.
Saad Khalid, one of a group dubbed the “Toronto 18” who were arrested in a police sting in 2006, made the surprise plea on Monday. But the news was kept from the public due to a publication ban that was lifted on Tuesday.

Indiana – yes, he can be manipulated by a more sophisticated group, and, as Cdn Sentinel points out, he probably is. There’s George Soros – and others in the BackRoom.
Obama, like so many narcissists, is extremely skilled at, because he’s so dependent on..manipulating and charming people. He, long ago, moved into a fictional world where he can only feel ‘safe’ when he manipulates and controls who lives in this world with him, and how they interact with him.
With this skill, the backroom boys can get him as their ‘upfront salesman’. He can charm everyone with is vapid talk of ‘hope and change’. He can suggest that if you don’t vote for him, you are a racist, like his white grandmother who was afraid of ‘big black men’. No-one else, other than him, could get away with bringing race into the campaign.
He can misinform people – and blame it on others. And a narcissist is always blameless. So, Obama blames Bush. And America. And…
The problem arises when he is exposed to people whom he can’t control. He’ll try to denigrate and demean them – as he did with the UK Prime Minister and even the Queen. He’ll mock them as he did with Limbaugh and Hannity and the Tea Parties.
But – how long can he be protected; that is, how long can his fictional world, which he feels he is in control of – be kept isolate from reality?
I imagine that the backroom gang protects him; they attack the Tea Parties; they attack anyone who criticizes him. The Press Room is filled with sycophants and tightly controlled. His support, his teleprompters, travel everywhere with him. He’s surrounded by aides to keep his ‘bubble’ safe.
But how long can this last? As I said, previously, he was always safe in a bubble where he was isolated and could feel in control. I wonder if this can be maintained..and it can be maintained only by isolating him more and more, and increaseing the power of the Backroom.

Do I think Obama can be run by a backroom gang, so to speak?
Of course. He already is. After all, he himself has no ability to develop policies and programs; he has no knowledge of history; he has no capacity to logically and empirically think through cause and effects of policies. Others are setting him up to sell these policies.
And a key tactic they are using, besides the Obama triad of misinformation, manipulation using emotions of fear and hope, and accusations of bias if you disagree – are to constantly, endlessly, stoke the anti-Bush rhetoric.
Obama is deliberately doing this. He has a malicious streak to him, and it’s useful as a diversion. He’s trying to divert the Tea Party anger at his policies, to antipathy to anything that happened during the previous era.
Will it work? More and more people are talking about his tactics.
