Economic Stimulus

Is there nothing that Obama can’t do?

In just 3 months Americans bought enough guns to outfit the entire Chinese and Indian army’s combined.
You also bought 1,529,635,000 rounds of ammunition in just the month of December 2008. Yeah that is right, that is Billion with a “B”. This number takes no accounting of reloading or reloaded ammunition.

Heh.

  1. The real question is if Owe said, “March”, would Navy, Army, Airforce, National Guard etc listen to Owe’s command. After his treatment of the CIA I suspect that not one ship would sail, not one tank would roll nor one aircraft lift off should Owe lose the hounds on Americans.
I was just thinking the same thing. While not a 100% defection, I see LOTS of military personnel – who the left spits on daily – not lifting a finger to help Obama crush fellow Americans.

  2. sarge here all the “leftards” sarge knows been buyin up short barreled shotguns an Aks afap never seen so many new folks at the range
course none of em is actual leftards just folks who is concerend that nuts like you folks have a few more guns than is healthy-whiny f#ks that you is if the economy gets any worse yall probably take to robbin’ thems of us with big gardens but never mind that
yeah obama gona take yer guns evben if bush banned several key assualt forign rifle components and his daddy and raygun banned a buncha stuff too
FEMA sent blackwater security and others to new orleans to take the guns from legal owners on bushs orders(probably really cheneys orders)
yall all hope for that fabled general insurection in the USA so them chinese and russians and iranians nrth viets can bust some moves during the general distraction yer a bunch of pathetic retards and the drivin up of ammo prices is pissin the sarge off to boot the sarge might have to beat down the nearest rightard just to make the sarge feel better

  3. sarge here ps corrosive ammo keeps the best dont know why sarge would even tell ya that but it does perchlorate primers is stable compared to the non corrosive ones now ya just have to clean yer weapon more and better. a course most of that corrosive stuff is in com block calibers but its hella cheap

  4. sarge here one more time pps amyp yer a frikin nut ps why doncha ask some local member of the military if he/shes fixin to revolt agains civilian control what a laugh its still amrica fer gods sake but keep yer wet dream of a military coup and banana republic sure you’d be one of the favored ones

  5. I read of a proposed scenario a number of years ago, where the US gov’t invited or allowed UN “peace keepers” to help enforce the peace in the US. With the large numbers of regular and reserves tied up on overseas missions and deployments, they wouldn’t be available for domestic service. Hence a little help from the friendly UN peace keeping forces.
Can you imagine the countries that would love to have armed soldiers patrolling American streets. Think Pakistani, Jordanian, Iraqi, Indian, Kosovar, Russian, Chinese, N Korean, Turkish, Palestinian, Lebanese, Libyan, Nigerian, and many others.
After all, Obama loves the UN doesn’t he? He would love to show the rest of the world how America has changed.

“After all, Obama loves the UN doesn’t he? He would love to show the rest of the world how America has changed.”
Somehow I don’t see the UN soldiers being happy walking US streets when they realize the biggest change Obama has caused. That would be a 25 to 30% increase in hardware for the population, and an increase of over one and a half billion rounds of feed for the hardware, per month. I just don’t see that working out to well for the UN or Obama.
I don’t think Obama really is very good at math. Otherwise he would have figured out that the sheer numbers involved in the sales described above might indicate that there are probably a lot of liberals who have decided to become firearms owners. Now why would that be?

  7. I saw what Obama said to the Tea-Baggers yesterday, that was way past being smuck, and arrogant. I could really lay down some cajun speak right now, but I promised Kate years ago to be civil while on SDA.
Did get that MK90 for Christmas though, wheeeew dooogie, purchased a 1/2 dozen on sale cantalopes (that’s musk-melons for you Canadians) and emptied a couple of 30 round clips into them. I was shooting steel jackets and had a sheet of 3/4 ” plywood behind them with a couple of bails of hay behind that.
We do have some Liberal Neighbors about 1/2 mile away, always wondered what they think when 90 rounds go off in less than 3 mins.

    You’re joking right?
I probably shouldn’t do this but oh well.

Bush or Obama, Democrat or Republican it doesn’t matter what color their button. If the government is going to over-step their bounds the people have a responsibility to intervene.

  9. I’ve thought about the NATO/UN step in as well, and sad to say, I’m pretty sure that would be the plan — that, and some of those “liberals” would finally show their violent side (many are itching to murder “right wingers” — and torture and imprison, they can barely contain themselves on blogs, newspapers, radio call ins as it is — even the children of said “right wingers” are fair game — these are mad, as in crazy, people who have lost all sensibility); plus you have a lot of active combat troops deployed overseas, and there are many in the military who are completely supportive of the administration.
No, it’s alwasy good to be prepared, but at this moment a “revolutionary” act would not only cost a lot of blood, but would end very badly for the “revolutionary type folks” and very badly for the country/world. At the present time it will have to be by rule of law, or nothing, and I wish people would not be so fired up at the prospect of going shooty-shooty at this time.
By the way, who is this “sarge” person on here? I come over every so often, and I’ll be blasted if I can get past the lack of punctuation or the syntax.

  10. California, which has a 15-day waiting period that I supported and signed into law while Governor, stopped nearly 1,800 prohibited handgun sales in 1989.

  11. my guess is that for every registered gun in canada there are at least two that aren’t.

    Bring it.
Old white guy said: “my guess is that for every registered gun in Canada there are at least two that aren’t.”
That seemed low to me, so I looked it up.
There’s about 1.8 million registered firearms owners in Canada, with 7.3 million guns registered. That’s about four each.
There are anywhere between 3 and 7 million gun owners in Canada, depending which estimate you go by. 3 million was the official Chretien/Rock estimate, doubling that wouldn’t be imprudent.
So there’s probably at least four guns out there for every one that’s registered.
    Yay!
