Busload of Crazies to Tour Homes of AIG Executives This Weekend*
The Connecticut Working Families Party this weekend has organized a bus store that will make stops at Wilton, Connecticut, AIG office as well as the security-patrolled homes of AIG execs who are fearing for their lives.
And why shouldn’t they? Their President has compared them to suicide bombers.
“We’re going to be peaceful and lawful in everything we do,” said Jon Green, the director of Connecticut Working Families. “I know there’s a lot of anger and a lot of rage about what’s happened. We’re not looking to foment that unnecessarily, but what we want to do is give folks in Bridgeport and Hartford and other parts of Connecticut who are struggling and losing their homes and their jobs and their health insurance an opportunity to see what kinds of lifestyle billions of dollars in credit-default swaps can buy.”
Right, they’re not fomenting rage, they’re just encouraging it. So if you happen to record someone’s address so you can return in the dead of night, it’s not like Working Families told you to!

… Obama trained its local leaders, represented the organization in court, and worked to funnel funds to the organization. The Obama campaign also donated $800,000 this year to an ACORN affiliate.
The same Barack Obama who helped ACORN fuel the subprime mortgage mess by suing banks for “rejecting loan applications of minority applicants”. (And the same Barack Obama whose US Census Bureau is about to name ACORN an “official partner”. )
It’s not a “populist rage bus”. It’s an ACORN victory lap.

you have to hand it to the Obama administration, it was a brilliant stroke to put all the blame on the AIG execs. rather than on the politicians that hurriedly insisted on the signing of the stimulus bill. all I hear is crickets from the media, as they direct the public’s attention to the rabid left, intimidating those with threats that received the bonuses.
How many thousands of common sense thinking people said, “wait, hold on here?”
Obama boasted and bragged that he was going to dot every i and cross every t on the stimulus bill, but he doesn’t remember the AIG bonuses? hmmmm…

I was just watching Vancouver’s 10:30pm CBC newscast. They were showing a group of ‘renters’ protesting and calling for rent controls.
All of the signs, some hand made, some professionally printed and clothing, including jackets and hats of the spokeswoman, featured the ACORN name and logo.
What the hell is going on? Is this some part of a leftist new world order?

To clarify your story.
You were actually channel surfing between AXN and Fox when you happened to see what looked like a potential bloody riot flash quickly across the screen. Upon seeing the story, you realized in shocked horror afterwards that you had inadvertently stumbled across CBC. “The bastards snuck one in” was all you could think afterwards.
Why wouldn’t Obama and his minions welcome and encourage this latest smokescreen. It took the focus completely off what happened at the U.S Treasury this week. Their $300 billion purchase sent T-bill rates to the basement, gold shot up over $50 an ounce and investors are complaining about the printing presses working over-time.
Confidence is zero, nada and make no mistake, this is very serious stuff. As a Canadian, I’m worried sick about what this means to our economy, manufacturing and exports. With the focus on AIG, 100 Mexican trucks, this horrific scenario was lost in the hysteria. And, an article In Friday’s National Post by Peter
Foster, “Climate Protectionism” should send a cold shiver down everyone’s spine, no pun intended. We should all be very concerned at what it means to Canada when the debt bubble bursts.
With the legislation put on the floor of Congress this week for a mandatory community service as well as the mandatory formation of a citizen army the AIG thing is a smokescreen for more than just what’s going on at Treasury or in Congress. Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, Chris Dodd, Obama himself and others have orchestrated this to cover for much darker things and they are going to do it, no matter what. They have the majority and will continue to do what they wish.
Elections have consequences and this one is going to hit us all big time. 2010 mid-terms seem a long way off with this disaster slamming us now. Before we know it we will be the targets of the ACORN bullies. Thank Goodness PM Harper came out with his announcement that he wants to get rid of the long gun registry. We are going to need all the help we can get.
Get ready. It is going to get very crowded in Canada and soon.

Item, Obama wants gun control, even though it cost the Democrats the house, the senate and the presidency in the 1990’s and even Pelosi and company won’t touch it with a barge pole. It is a political death wish to be anti-gun in the USA. Obama wants it anyway.

I have a cousin by marriage who used to make huge money, 10 million some years, working on these mortgage ‘securities’ He would spout Obama all day long, but he made a lot of contributions to Dodd’s presidential campaign too, which I found out by googling him. Haven’t heard from him in a while, though.
From what I know first hand about that community, I am betting that Obama won, conservatively, about 75% of the vote of these guys who are getting demonized right now. “f*ck you very much!” Obama says in return for their support.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Rex Murphy column. It seems like the scales are slowly falling from some peoples’ eyes.
But I have to point out that, once again, the fact checking skills at the Globe are wanting. Murphy refers to Jim Cramer’s “half hour” show Mad Money. Not that I’m a huge fan of Cramer (except as a contrary indicator), but it’s a full 60 minutes of hyperkinetic nonsense, not 30.
You see, it’s like this.

The rich socialists came out into the open once they had a socialist in charge. The rich socialists, as opposed to free enterprisers, favor socialist construct in hope that being warm and fuzzy, they will get to keep their loot provided by the taxpayer. Used to work for them well.
It is a subject of curiosity that Buffet, Gates and other such favor socialist regime. After all they made their money as raw capitalists by working at what they do. It is good of them that they do charitable works, it is the proper way to do good, not with bureaucracy skimming most of the money and use leftovers to distribute to favored victims. Why would they favor socialism? Maybe they are pressured into by politicians and pressure groups.
You may remember that Microsoft had no lobbyists in Washington DC. What happened? The politicians saw all this money Microsoft was making and they did not get any of it. So they came with an issue, forced it. Gates had to get lawyers and lobbyists to the capital and then had to start massaging the congress with money. After that things got quiet.
The point is that these companies brought all the trouble onto themselves, seems government was only happy to help to get control. And they did.
The thing is if politician will give you money, the politician will demand control. Those in research may know about this, if you get government money for research the government will take ownership of the fruit of your work.
Trouble with the situation is that there is little sympathy for the management of these failed companies. They screwed up big time and they got in big time trouble.
It is difficult to sympathize with the management; they run the companies to the ground, mind you with the government meddling help, non-the-less they went along. How can you reward failure like that?
It is troublesome that today, in the United States of America, that used to be and still is, up to now, the hope of freedom for millions of people everywhere. Americans themselves are now rushing away from freedom. Why? Where did they get the idea?
It just so happens, that Americans elected a man that has a good teleprompter. If the current president had to think and speak at the same time, it would become clear, as it is becoming, what exactly is meant by the words change and hope.
Change the system and hope nobody notices.
