A memory refresher is all it takes sometimes to jolt the left into the concept of reality.
So they are saying they are the Grey’s…where have I heard that term b4? Oh, yes, they are those beings with big eyes, tiny nostrils, short stature, who delight in giving anal probes to humans, and impregnating our women. They are said to be from a more “intelligent” planet than ours and much more sophisticated society. I have heard, but can not confirm this, supposedly they abort human “fetuses” as well. Abductions of all sorts is common – close encounters. Most importantly, though the “Grey’s” implant humans with with a device, sometimes in the back of the head or elsewhere on the body, if you’re really unfortunate – anal area. These probes are used to control their thoughts; hence the use of tin foil hats. The mystery has been solved. Who are these “Grey’s” why liberals of course. I can not believe I missed the correlation. Both liberals and the Grey’s state they are more intelligent and sophisticated. When I am around a liberal, I too feel as if I’m being abducted – at least my rights are – they too want to abort human fetuses and use cloning experiments to make other species. I could go on. However, I no longer fear an abduction from the “Grey’s” – no doubt they would find me distasteful indeed and would much rather implant a liberal.

When I was living alone, all my towels were grey. I was lazy and did not want to separate the colors and the temperatures at which to wash the used laundry. You didn’t need to think,just warm water, toss in the all tempa-cheer, wallah clean towels,or so I thought. You could not really tell.
My opinion of grey liberals is the same, I don,t know whether to use them or wash them, you have to (or must) smell them first, and even then you are not sure.
You say grey, I say gray. Either way, definitions have consequences.
I would, in this matter, and in the definitions exhibited below,lean toward (2a) and (2b). But mostly embrace (4), since they would rather not take any position to which they could later be held accountable. That pesky consequences thingy again.

Obviously the “grey area people” are defined by the amount of “grey matter” they have destroyed with recreational drugs and/or bashing their heads on the wall of political reality.
When you can’t cognitively articulate your politics without calling others nazis and murderers, one displays a severe lack of active cerebral “grey matter”.
“The greys” another immaterial political demographic who’s self destructive presumptions will be kicked to the curb by reality.
Something comes to mind about them calling conservatives knuckle-draggers and then using the possessive _your_ where the contraction _you’re_ is required and not understanding that the plural of baby is _babies_, not _baby’s_ which is possessive.
These are mistakes a forth grader shouldn’t make, so to claim superiority is really a funny thing.

You may be on to something there. The average age of these subject “greys”, mentally and physically, may be a lot lower than previously thought. Probably very similar, in those areas, to the genre that comment at DKOS and HuffPost.

an example of the harmony and mutual respect possible between divergent ‘belief systems’ in our community is the fact we are in the process of developing a consensus between the differing ‘needs’ of our community’s arsonists and local fire departments….hopefully at the end of the ‘dialogue’ we will have a mutually agreed upon set of rights and the principles they are grounded in that will permit both camps to co-exist without the rancor and bitterness one encounters so often in non grey centred areas of the country..

But a true gray area person would be incapable of calling others not gray for the very act of calling another ‘not gray’ makes the caller ‘not gray’. Kind of like saying I can tolerate anyone except the intolerant. If I can’t tolerate the intolerant then in fact I am intolerant myself.

joe – now, that was a perfect comment. Indeed, you are absolutely right. The colour gray operates as a mixture. So, someone who is genuinely ‘gray/grey’ in their beliefs has to accept all beliefs as a valid part of this mixture and therefore cannot describe another person as ‘not gray’.
What I was going to say before I saw your great comment was that ‘gray’ is a state of mind BEFORE one comes to a conclusion. It’s the state of mind where you are supposed to ponder all options, assess their values. Then, finally, you must come to a decision. “This’ or ‘That’, which leads to your final conclusion of “I choose ‘This’.
The State of Being Permanently Gray is a state prior to decision-making. So, Being Permanently Gray means that one lives without any judgment, evaluation or indeed, opinions.

That pretty well sums up a liberal: the desire to have the power, with none of the accountability. That also explains why, in their world, everything that happens is somebody else’s fault.
The world is frequently gray because we live in a democracy and there is compromise, not because it’s a personal state to be desired. I suspect this is another way of talking about “ideology” being bad, usually if it’s so called conservative ideology.
There isn’t anything wrong with having confidence in your ideas, even if you’ve been wrong, uh, once or twice, like me. (the sun was in my eyes…)
time and again it has been demonstrated that the potuses who were the least grey – the ones who were the most decisive – are the most successful. it is the wafflers – the ones led by polls and political expediency who have failed and were disappointments.
even fdr – who i think was largely a disaster on issues economic – managed to get the US on a war preparations track and literally save the world. i doubt that there was another man alive who could have managed that. He was also a great pre-war and wartime potus thanks to his naval background – a potus with a army background would have been more likely to push for a landing in france in 42 or 43 and that would have been a disaster. The duality of our natural world is black and white not grey.
Call it what you will – positive & negative – yin & yang – protons & electrons – matter & anti matter – heaven & hell – male & female – eat or be eaten – kill or be killed……..Our universe and natural lives are ruled by specific opposing forces that do not allow much room for indecisions and grey areas.
People dominated with a life of “grey areas” live in a surreal realm of luxury and indecisiveness provided for by the toils of realistic decision makers that had inadvertently built the glass houses that these people reside and rule.
An indecisive general kills the men that he commands in a battlefield, but wars exist and have always existed as part of the human condition. The fact that we wish there was no war will never change the fact that there will always be one. Even the early Greek and Roman philosophers understood this and have so far yet to be proven wrong. Conservative minds understand this, but the mind of the left rejects this reality and opts to dream of another reality believing that it will just go away, “if you wish real hard”. Eat or be eaten.
I call these people the “empire destroyers”, but what they really are is the afterbirth of successful societies that have finished their hard labors and become soft through time. We have witnessed it throughout history and we are witnessing it now.
