  1. No doubt, the rioters represent a ‘broad stratum’ of Swedish society.
    *cough*

  2. Right you are Colin; and this will never happen here cause we would never provoke the little darlings. Darned Swedish landlords; troublemakers all.

  3. I wonder about the background of the “youth” in Greece that got shot. I don’t believe it has been mentioned.

  4. This is part of the reason Sweden has the highest suicide rate in th world, there are already not enough jobs and the govt. won’t turn off the immigration taps. Ain’t socialism grand, and don’t anyone tell me different, I lived in Norway and Sweden 30 years ago and have seen the young men drink themselves comatose on homemade booze to escape socialism.

  5. Yea, like no one’s been warning everyone about the “canary in the coal mine”?
Europe is lost to Islam, when North American society wakes up from that little reality we may start to protect our own children and culture. Wake up to the nightmare that socialist Liberal Europe is going through, it’s the death rattle of a once great culture & people.
We are next on the list you bloody idiots!

  6. When you abandon your own culture, as Europe has (what happened to their Judeo-Christian roots?), you create a vacuum for others to fill.
One of the overriding hallmarks of a decaying Judeo-Christian culture is the prevalence of abortion–or, as the RC Pontiffs put it, the culture of death. Abortion is one of the main components of this death spiral.
Now that millions of European babies haven’t been born, how are all the social benefits and entitlements going to be funded? Who’s going to pay the taxes to underwrite the continuing pensions, health care benefits, and other perks?
‘Guess immigration’s going to have to be ratcheted up. ‘Big influx of immigrants who don’t want to–AND ARE NOT REQUIRED TO–adhere to the norms and values of the host country. Hmmm … trouble ahead … trouble here and now.
But having abandoned their own culture–the norms and values which up to that point had created a viable, vibrant, responsible, accountable, and sustainable society–they have fewer and fewer moral or ethical resources at their disposal with which to combat what they’re now coming to realize is an enemy within their gates.
North America’s not far behind this dystopian disaster.

  7. What do you think the odds are that the landlord will be charged with inciting a riot and have to grovel and ask for forgiveness from the “youths”?

  8. Why does the USA and Canada still accept Muslim immingrants when they can see what is happening in Europe. Why would the Liberal Gov’t of Canada, when is twas in power, want to give our country away to these people?

“It’s sinister to link Islam with terrorism”:
Kolkata, Dec 21 (PTI) External Indian Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said there was a sinister design to link Islam with terrorism.
(Correct. The sinister design by none more sinister than, “I’ve been made victorious through terror!” – Mohammad).
“There are some scholars who had coined the term Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of love and compassion. There is a sinister ploy to link terrorism with Islam,” the minister said here at a seminar organised by a city-based trade body.
There may be some socio-economic indicators which may lead to some frustration among some Muslim youths who had gone astray. “These are exceptions,” he said.
(Correct. “These are exceptions.” Typically the violence is planned and committed by well to do and well educated doctors and engineers)
He described terrorists as the “biggest violators of human rights having no religion or boundary.” The minister also strongly endorsed the view of founder president of the trade body Feroze Ali that India was not a ‘soft state’ and was determined to fight the menace of terrorism.
(Correct. Islam is not a religion. It’s a 7th century barbaric war ideology masquerading as a religion)
    …………..
Ending Muslim immigration, is becoming a much more appealing idea, no?

  10. Swedish English News
The streets of Malmö’s Rosengård district were relatively calm on Friday evening, as the hundreds of youth who rioted earlier in the week refrained from engaging in renewed clashes with police.

An uneasy calm has settled over the southern Swedish city of Malmo after hundreds of Muslim youths rioted against police for two consecutive nights.

  11. Mike L.: “Why would the Liberal Gov’t of Canada, when is twas in power, want to give our country away to these people?”
    In a word: greed.
You will have noticed that it was under a Liberal Government that Canada’s abortion laws were liberalized and despite Trudeau and Turner’s protestations that this would not mean more abortions in Canada, our abortion numbers jumped from 11,000/year in 1969 to the present number of well over 100,000/year.
Having, with gay abandon, shucked Canada’s up-to-then Judeo-Christian values for unfettered feminism and a free-for-all, anything-goes experiment with social norms, the Liberals soon realized that all of the socialist programs they had put in place to ensure benefits and perks for life even if no one wanted to work–wasn’t that, after all, one of the proletariat’s “rights”?–couldn’t be sustained without a populace of worker-bees whose taxes would ensure cash for life for their earmarked special-interest groups, they opened the immigration flood gates.
The advantages to the Liberals were twofold: first, their social programs would be bankrolled by the influx of tax dollars from immigrant workers and, second, they would benefit from the votes of this large infusion of immigrants. Far from caring about the actual lives of immigrants or the economic and cultural health of Canada, the Liberals were making a money and power grab to benefit themselves when they “gave our country away” to Muslim immigrants.
This is one more reason why we need to keep the Liberal Party from taking power again. Their regime has led to Canada’s being far too susceptible to the European dystopia. We need to take our country back and, unfortunately, it’s going to be a very hard-won, uphill battle from here. The Liberals, NDP, and BQ are not part of the solution.

  12. Our long term survival depends on total economic collapse now. With a collapsed economy hopefully less people will come here, and a lot of recent arrivals will go back where they come from if there is no future here here.

  13. I started writing a response too, but censored myself out for fear of what the some brainless fool in an HRC somwhere in Canada will do with it.
I also did not renew my CPC membership this year either (just got the letter last week).

  14. Landlords of the world beware. My son told me last night, there are some Africans living in his apartment building. He overheard one of them having a conversation with the caretaker, claiming he couldn’t pay rent because he had no means of transportation to work. The caretaker asked about the brand new Jeep in his parking space, and was told “it doesn’t work”. My son sees him driving it every day, and plugging into whichever outlet he feels like. Yesterday it was vandalized.
I live in a redneck town, and the immigrants here aren’t getting such an easy ride. Most of the convenience stores have been bought up by a middle eastern family that only hires African workers. Their business has dwindled to almost nil, while the remaining locally owned Macs has lineups 24/7. That, along with this cold snap is just what the doctor ordered.
Sorry Monty, your dream of a multicultural prairie might be about to end. Now, if only Tyson Foods would close that vile smelling house of death in Brooks, I might consider staying on after I retire.

  15. Attila Jensen, station chief for the Jägerso station, says that the fire was apparently set to enable the youth to throw stones at them.
After two events, Jensen decide that next time the fire brigade will be attacked, they will pack up and leave the place. Additionally, the brigade won’t enter Rosengård without a police escort. The vehicles were equipped with bullet-proof glass but that didn’t help when the firemen found themselves outside fighting fires, which is when the stone throwing begins.
The question is of course: Why?
According to Jensen, the original reason was a mosque fire five years ago. Rosengård’s residents accused the fire brigade of not doing enough to extinguish the flames and chaos erupted. Police were called in to protect the firemen. An inquiry of the emergency services later rejected speculations that the fire brigade allowed the mosque to burn down more than necessary.

  17. If I find myself wondering why the Euro leaders don’t deal harshly with this type of uprising, I remind myself it’s because they are too busy dealing harshly with the few among them who actually are realists, such as Vaclav Klaus.
mimuteman (at 9:00 am) could well be right. It may be that total economic chaos in Europe will be the only way that these so-called “progressive” elites get de-throned and then, perhaps, after a long period of social disorganization, some rational leadership may assert itself.

  18. I have been wrestling with the problem of muslim vs moslem immigration, and I see no real solution here This is the law of unintended consequences at work. While it is pretty easy to scapegoat a large sector of the immigrant population, we must remember that a great many immigrants from Islamic lands did NOT come here to live under sharia, to see their daughters grow up in an Islamic concentration camp (pretty much what Saudi Arabia is to women and blacks). These “apostate” muslims, who are often as Muslim as we in the West are Christian (seriously, how many modern-day Christians actually give up their wealth and families to become disciples of the risen Christ?) and have no interest in losing their hard-won freedom to the likes of the prattling, babbling mullahs and imams.
Problem is: they are scared, and too afraid to do anything. Why? Because they see imams flagrantly violating their terms of landed-immigrant status (railing against Jews and homosexuals) and the Canadian state doing NOTHING about it. They conclude correctly, that the imams are the real power in the Western public sphere. Also we must remember that these people are often one generation away from the kind of tribal secret policing you and I have no experience of whatsoever. Hence a double-whammy of fear and lack of a tradition of speaking truth to power. When the CBC and the CHRCs legitamise the likes of the CIC, they play into the hands of those whose first order of business is to keep the muslim population in Canada towing the “party” line. Small wonder then that polls repeatedly show things like “support for Shariah”. These people have NO EXPERIENCE with polling, elections, etc, and genuinely believe their every move is being watched by the Canadian Islamic Congress/ secret police. Couple that with the vicious and barbaric behaviour of many Western muslims, (cartoon riots, homophobia, racism, etc.) and the next thing that happens is … more discrimination from concerned Westerners who have no reason to give people like this a job. I mean would you hire someone who outwardly confessed to rigorously following a faith that proudly trumpets its intent to eliminate homosexuals? I wouldn’t even interview such a person.
And so therein lies some kind of sympathy vote from the quiet ‘muslim’ masses. They are afraid to speak out, and yet they also recognise that the CIC is really the only way to get a job, feel part of society, find a home, etc. A kind of state within a state. I think it must be absolutely dreadful to be a moderate muslim right now. The Canadian dream has turned out to be a drink-sodden, porn-laden, leftard, imam-enabling nightmare. They must be thinking “we came 13 000 miles for THIS S**T?”.Who are they going to turn to? The CBC? The feds? Just like in 1984….”he loved Big Brother”.
The other unintended consequence was freely-available abortion. How many women do you know who’ve had more than one abortion? I know a few who have had three or more!!!! I mean talk about a cult of death. And so the aborted generation hasn’t happened, and the state has Baby Boomer pensions and healthcare to worry about. Unless you are happy to essentially cull the elderly, letting them die in the streets, cutting off their lifeline is not an option I’d like to see happen. So the immigration goes on, like it or not. The immigrants are the children Westerners couldn’t be bothered to have. And as Steyn points out, when you outsource your fertility to the Third World, you are going to get the pathologies that go with it.
Is there a solution? I believe not. As in Rome, the immigrants will overwhelm the state, thus prompting collapse of a great many services, and the rise of criminal gangs who will have to assume many of the responsibilities that the state used to assume, such as caring for their elderly, etc. They’ll in time do that, or die at the hands of their own (non-Western) people. Countries like South Africa offer a glimpse into what the West’s future looks like, assuming for a second that Shariah doesn’t rise, and I don’t see how it can’t, in places like Malmo, Paris, etc.
The only chance the West now has is to try to manage the transition, as best as possible. The demographics have already happened. The Left must be taken to task, and those who constantly berate the West and its values must be stopped, because in so doing, down the road, they are sentencing all of us to the nightmare of permanent conflict Steyn talks about. Militant Islam has the power to destroy even the most prosperous and powerful state from within, when it makes alliance with “multiculturalists”. The Left must be rendered impotent if there is to be any hope for those muslims who genuinely came here so their daughters could go to school, and not become slaves to the likes of Al-Zawahiri and his gang of child-murderers.
Really, we talk about the need for the reform of Islam. Islam is stil the same as it always was. We didn’t have a problem with Muslim immigration in the 1960’s? What changed? Answer: the Left. It is actually the Left that needs to reform itself. ANd if it refuses to do so, it must go. Trust me guys, they are going to be a lot easier to deal with than militant Islam at this point.
Failing that, deport (or as in the case of Israel) stop the leading imams who preach this vile crap. Once the imams are afraid of the state again, all will be well… for now.

    Well said!
I believe your right. Only through some major hardships will light be cast on the epidemic strain the mass third world migrations are bringing to our lands.
Unfortunately sometimes you need a Katrina to lift the floorboards of a rotting house. European liberalism has condemned its peoples to violence, hatred in their own countries and now flight from their homelands. The world is getting smaller and there are fewer places to run and hide every year.
Keep North America strong and free!

  20. By “go” I mean possibly restricting their ability to preach multicult.
I grew up in a state in which papers were banned if they were found to be encouraging violence. In many cases, removal of their license to publish resulted in an immediate drop in acts of terror, as terror has one goal: to spread fear.
Now since we live in the West, this (banning) won’t happen. So where does it end up? If the Left gets its act together, and realises its pet causes are ALL doomed in an pure Islamic-dominated culture, we may yet turn this new West into a place where all will feel safe and secure, and free to pursue their happiness. Just not Warren Kinsella and his toadies. They have to pull snowplough duty in Tuktoyuktuk!

  21. It’s a good thing this doesn’t happen in Canada. I have a feeling Canadians are less tolerant of this sort of behavior despite our lefty stereotype of apologizing to inanimate objects.

  22. Canada has to close its”open” immigration policy . It is one of five english speaking and the only nations that lets anyone in. We don’t need more immigrants. “We should only take ones we think will be good for Canada. They should be able to speak english, have education or money, then they can establish themselves and NOT be a charge against the country as the last 10 year immigrants are. So Canadians snooze, why don’t some of the letter writers tell their own MP to stop this rediculous immigration NOW.

“It’s a good thing this doesn’t happen in Canada”.
Well not yet anyway Phil. Why do you think we would be the only western country exempt from the violence, riots, and gang rapes brought on by Islam?
The reality is that Canada’s Muslim population at this time is quite low compared to Europe’s. I don’t have the actual percentages in front of me but they are easily available on the web. I recall seeing a website not so long ago that showed the increasing Muslim violence in European countries directly proportional to the increased presence of Muslims by percentage. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the truth and reality of the claims, and it’s easily tracked with a little research. Obviously this is the BIG taboo of the MSM throughout western countries, but even they are forced to slip on a good story from time to time.

  24. Here is a link to some of the violent gang rapes sweeping Europe that the MSM does not think we should be privy to.
    http://www.iris.org.il/blog/archives/757-Pan-European-Arab-Muslim-Gang-Rape-Epidemic.html
It’s almost funny if it weren’t so sadly true that European blond girls are now dying their hair black to be less attractive to Muslim “youths” and girls of high school age are now wearing chastity belts with the hopes of some protection when in public.

  25. bcf states that there is no solution and while he may be correct, I believe there is a solution. The problem is that no western country is willing to implement it. The solution is to support only those Muslims who accept to integrate and to live in peace in a democratic society, respecting those of other faiths and those of no faith. Muslims preaching and supporting terrorism, the subjugation of non Muslims and women and honour killings must be dealt with swiftly by deportation. We must also treat those who support these Islamists, including the leftists, with a firm hand making it very clear that it is an unacceptable and criminal act. A case in point is the lies of the MSM such as refusing to identify the criminals, preferring to call them youths.
So I suggest that there is a solution that our governments continue to reject.

  26. “The solution is to support only those Muslims who accept to integrate and to live in peace in a democratic society”
Actually you could replace Muslims with immigrants, as that principle should apply to All immigrants: Either integrate or leave. Either plan on integrating or don’t bother coming here in the first place. You are free to practice your culture in the privacy of your own home or if you wish, open of an ethnic-based retail business or restaurant, but don’t expect further accommodations, and where there is a clash between the host culture and your own, YOURS is the one that is going to give way.

  27. They might take a lesson from what happened to Polish jews as a direct result of insisting on living in ghettos.
But that would require thought, I suppose.

  28. I suggest the simplest solution is western separation.
“when you outsource your fertility to the Third World, you are going to get the pathologies that go with it.”
IMO this is the greatest failing of all that is attributed to the Baby Boomers. The selfishness of this generation blows my mind. They will not be looked on kindly or forgotten anytime soon by generations to come.

  29. Ghettos aren’t prepared for people they are created by the people that live there. All western “ghettos” were once thriving inner cities and suburbs.
Say what you will about planned segregation, low income families or whatever, Ghettos are a direct result of importing the third world to the first. It’s not an economic factor as much as it is a cultural one. Islam promotes segregation of western values and norms whether you live in downtown Toronto or Riyad.

  30. I am still somewhat baffled by the presence of “immigrants” in Sweden in the first place. It’s not like they have a colonial past. The only explanation in my view is their idiotic levels of welfare. However with the economic downturn such extravagant levels of welfare are likely to prove unsustainable. The riots in Sweden are one thing, the riots in Greece are another. The situation there is more complex and although Greece does have a large immigrant population (Albanian who are surprise surprise mostly muslim) the underlying problem is the welfare budget. I think Europe is heading for catastrophe and there will be more and more of these incidents. The religion of peace muppets may have kicked off too early and are likely to find themselves on the wrong side when the shooting starts.

  31. LT: “The only explanation [for Muslim immigration to Sweden] in my view is their idiotic levels of welfare.”
I don’t think so. Why would Sweden let Muslims into their country to live off their welfare?
No, it’s related to the plummeting birthrates in Sweden in the past, say, 45 years. How can the Swedes afford their welfare state without collecting tax monies from their citizens?
But … what citizens? They’ve aborted so many future citizens that they need immigrants to do the work that all of these future citizens have been unable to do and to access tax revenues that will never be able to be collected.
As Mark Steyn has pointed out: It’s the demographics, stupid.

  32. Posted by: Nemo2>
What revision? I’m a little baffled as to what you are trying to point out. I believe you misunderstand the intent to undermine the comparison of a “ghetto” for Jews in history as compared to black ghettos in the US or Islamic ghettos in Europe.
Obviously the Wiki article you provided plays heavily on white flight from African Americans in the US (from Hispanics in California) which obviously caused a collapse of those communities unable to support themselves.
The “ghettoization” of Europe is twofold. First the self segregation of Muslim people throughout European cities, creating their “no go zones”. Secondly similar to the US “white flight” Europeans are abandoning sections of the cities, then the cities themselves, and now a big move to emigrate out of the countries all together.
All other ethnic groups as landed immigrants to America from the Irish to the Chinese have flourished within a generation, so the idea of trapped in a US ghetto is bunk, and not the systematic segregation of people’s as the left would have you believe.

  34. It’s just hilarious to me that the Left think that we here are so sooooper-doooper cool that all kinds of immigrants want to move here and promptly start paying idiotic levels of taxes to support aging white Baby-Boomers as they head off to Florida for more sun and golfing.
The lunacy of the Western Left never ceases to amaze me.

  35. Posted by: bcf>
“all kinds of immigrants want to move here and promptly start paying idiotic levels of taxes”
Actually that depends on what kind of immigrants you are talking about. Remember most foreigners have a Hollywood propagandized vision of the US. In the case of third world immigration, many don’t have a comprehension of taxes and have no intent on ever paying them if they did. Attitudes about social responsibility are completely different than someone born and raised in the First World.
The earlier statement that immigrants shop for the country with the highest social support network is true. I’ve heard it first hand from many foreigners at different times in different places. It’s like a shopping list of best countries to move to and take advantage of the system. If the first pick is unsuccessful, they go down the list. I had one individual from Indonesia tell me once that from his part of the world Canada is the third choice over Australia #1 (Proximity & climate) and the US #2 due to misplaced ideals of becoming American. He stated that Canada ends up being #1 because it’s the easiest to get into over the other two and although the social benefits are better than the US (his opinion) it’s just a cold stopping point until acceptance into the US is achieved.

  36. “I wonder about the background of the “youth” in Greece that got shot. I don’t believe it has been mentioned.”
While I was prone to jump to a similar conclusion, in this instance it was a young Greek (of which there are few) who was shot, and not one of the many immigrants, who primarily immigrated from North Africa.

  37. Thanks, bcf, for your thoughtful take on our immigration problem.
I’m grateful to see, as well, your understanding of the connection between European/North American abortion rates and our consequent need for immigrants.
There seems to be either a total lack of understanding about the connection between abortion and the West’s increasing immigration problem or a complete denial that there is a connection.
I firmly believe that if you don’t diagnose the problem, the patient–in this case, Western Civilization–grows increasingly sick and eventually dies. If we in the West will not acknowledge what seems to have got us into this conundrum in the first place, how can we ever hope to take the necessary steps to solve it?
