just because it’s time for a change of pace.
Notice: Some of you have been getting antivirus software alerts. Here’s what I’ve found. The problem is with embedded videos, so I’ve dropped those for now and replaced it with a link.. Actns/Swif.T virus affecting embedded YouTube vids?
Spoke with Google/YouTube and apparently anti-spyware software from Computer Associates had been returning false positives, identifying certain files contained within YouTube embed codes as malware. The specific YouTube issue is apparently being corrected by Computer Associates and wasn’t actually harmful in the first place. If you’ve got CA software, you might want to check for any updates.]

Watcha gonna do Juliet?
Syncro
you and me babe… how ’bout it?
thank you.
Time for bed Kate – it will be a busy day tomorrow.
Good work today.
I worked to 3 am on a logo design last night.
I can stay up late if I want to.
One of the band is wearing a hat I lost 20 years ago.
Thanks Kate. One of my personal favourites. Saw them live in New Zealand early 80’s with about 50,000 others, late summer in an open soccer stadium. Magical evening I will never forget.
Hey Kate, I learned several new things about you tonite, that you like musical opera, have good taste in bands and you like really good sax!!!!! My kinda girl although unfortunately you’re a bit young for me, then again almost everyone is at my age lol.
The fact that you’re a Dire Straits fan guarantees you 365 hits a year from me.
Genius. They managed to rip off The Moody Blues, and Gerry Rafferty, while re-hashing some of Dire Straits’ old stuff, and still sounded pretty good.
I still wonder why Rolling Stone’s top 100 guitar players list ignored this guy. He can really play. Of course, they also ignored Randy Bachman and Chet Atkins, so what do they know?
Any sensible top 10 always includes Mark. Nice “Brothers in Arms” era video, including trademark head band.
Mark writes songs for adults, and is the most understated guitar hero ever.
Great combination.
“I still wonder why Rolling Stone’s top 100 guitar players list ignored this guy.”
He’s #27 on their list.
Rolling Stone is hardly the authoritative voice on ANYTHING. Personally I think Hendrix was over rated. Knopfler is indeed a very good songwriter and guitarist.
Personally I think Frank Zappa was the greatest guitarist EVER!
Some other favs:
Brian Setzer (mmmmmm Gretsch guitars-lothing like them!)
Chet Atkins (love the finger picking!)
Steve Vai (This guy is wild!)
Duane Eddie (A pioneer)
Randy Bachman (Obligatory Can/Con favorite)
David Gilmour (Comfortably Numb)
WTF is with Joanie Mitchell of all people doing in the top 100? Proves the top 100 list has nothing to do with guitar playing.
