While in Dallas a few days ago I inadvertently drove by a VERY pro-Palin rally across from the downtown Fairmont hotel. I never got any photos (I was driving!) but added a little blog entry about it. I also mentioned that there were a handful (no more than 6) dispirited Obama supporters walking around with their heads down.
True to form, some Obamanation Kool Aid drinker added a comment that I was lying and that in fact the protesters outnumbered the supporters.

I agree with Pat; I think that sound moral principles are a key criterion for being the President and the VP.
When I compare Obama-Biden with McCain-Palin, my choice is for the latter. Why?
Obama, in my view, is an extremely dangerous individual. He’s a self-absorbed narcissist. Anyone who has, at his age, done so little, yet written two autobiographies, is someone whom I view with suspicion. Suspicion about his lack of humility and his arrogance.
I’m also concerned with The Company He Keeps. I think that a 20 year association with a ‘preacher’ who is both anti-American and racist, is not a ‘blip’ on the screen, but a matter of serious concern. Equally, I view his association with Adler, his association with others in the Chicago Power Bloc, with concern.
Plus, I view his open attempt to divide and conquer, via his bringing in ‘race’ to the discussion, as yet another concern. And, I also view his open attempts at censorship, stopping open discussion about him and his contacts – and quite frightening.
And, I view his acceptance and promotion of himself as a kind of ‘messiah’, his allowing the presidential race to be an emotional euphoria rather than a reasoned analysis of our future – I view that as dangerous. Why is he moving the people to hysteria rather than reason?
I also see him as uninformed, lacking historical knowledge and ignorant of societal structures.
With regard to Biden, I view him as part of the old, corrupt, entrenched Washington scene.
McCain? My concern is his age and, his lack of experience in the economic field. Neither Obama nor Biden have any experience in this area. I like his focus on change in Washington. Obama’s change is utopian and emotional and therefore, like any euphoria, it’s just a fog for the real agenda; Power.
I like Palin best of the four. Why? Because she’s down to earth, pragmatic, no-nonsense. She’s not about to be weaseled by the sophistry and intellectualism of the leftist crowd (Charlie Gibson was an example); she’s not impressed by the elitism of the Washington Set who sneer at her hair and children. She’s not impressed by the Old Guard who feel they, and they alone, have the right to govern America.
In fact, she’s ‘on of us’. She’s the embodiment of the basic American ideal – someone who acts within a deep sense of morality, a sense of humbleness rather than arrogance, no sense of entitlement, a commitment to assist and care. All the information in the world – about Supreme Court decisions, newspapers, troop placements..are without value if these basic values are missing. As they are in Obama and Biden.

Calling Palin a phenomena is an observation of fact, no different than saying Obama is a phenomena…they both are. It says nothing about eithers policies or abilities, other than to say they both have charisma by the bucket.

One had to laugh at the elitist version of why Sarah Palin was chosen, to “con women into voting for McCain because they would think she was a substitute for Hillary Clinton.” Then once this weak notion was circulated, it was pretty easy to knock it down. The idea that Palin was chosen because she was suitable never occurred to such analysts.
This is no surprise, because already, these same analysts had bought the concept that Obama was a gifted intellectual and promised deep, liberal and very very sensitive change (can you feel the arousal?).
Actually, he promises chaos and social revolution, unfortunately whether he wins or loses now — I don’t think black America will take well to a last-minute rejection of their near-unanimous choice and all the empowerment they imagine will follow.
