I used very clear concise language stating that I don’t watch, listen to or support CBC but I am nonetheless forced to pay for it through my tax dollars. They embarass me and I’m ashamed of our “national news” media. Of course they haven’t pulled the article and stand by it. Our tax dollars hard at work.
Heather would be receiving some of that “arts funding.” . . . which should make it clear why a lot of people are not especially concerned about the miniscule arts cuts that the opposition is currently raving about. If you assume politics is the art of the possible, if the Cons win and they aim at a single pillar of leftism to knock over -privatizing the CBC would inflict the most pain.
Provincially, the one pillar to kick over would have to be the most powerful force for leftism in existence – the Teachers Unions (at least here in BC)

David Warren did an excellent interview. The more this gets about the CHRC’s , the better for Canada. The CBC has to be let go.
