I’m sorry…you suggested don’t say a word…but..
if he is their last hope …there is real concern for the blacks of America. That was was very difficult to listen to.Not much different than Rev. Wright.
I meant it just as a form of hyperbole …
Well, for all the bluster, he does have a point. Like Bill Cosby said, quit playing the victim. And he’s right about Obama. How can he so easily and frequently play the black card when his mother is lilly white. It’s pathetic. Is he ashamed of his mom’s skin colour?
Earth to Obama, you’re not black.
Nutty as a fruitcake if you ask me.
irwin daisy..just curious did you listen to the whole thing…?
I thought he went downhill from the ‘white mama’ comment…a very steep hill.
Right on and strait up Bruuuutha!! I love this guy, makes me want to go back to church. Tell it like it is and keeping it real that’s what is needed. By the by I didn’t know who that nappy headed obomba was until I saw it on a pair of Double Ds myself, peace out and god bless reverend.
I would put this clown in the same group with the fanatic muslims .
My Christian God teaches me to love others and to try to look for the good in others. However, I do not find much love emanating from the words of this Minister nor, indeed, those words I have heard from Obama’s Reverend Wright.
Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream was not a message of hate. That is why his words continue to resonate over the decades.
“That long-legged freak Obama”… I’m offended on behalf of those with long legs.
The Clintons are pulling out all the stops. When this is done the Democrats are going to be exhausted, divided, and broke.
Well at least he was against affirmative action!
You think he is bad? Check out Louis Farakhan sometime. This nutjob thinks that seven UFOs travel around wherever he goes poised to kill whitey if he tries to touch him. One day the UFOs will obliterate whitey off the face of the earth and then Farakhans followers will take over.
Well now, I am conflicted…I liked and agreed with a number of the messages he delivered. But part of me has the opinion that this guy is a raving lunatic (particularly “the take them to the mountain and cut off their heads” bit)…
Curious…
Oh, Oh, that ‘nappy’ word again. Is he out of a job?
This guy would make an excellent pastor at the new “Afrocentric” school starting in Toronto.
Tom>
“This guy would make an excellent pastor at the new “Afrocentric” school starting in Toronto.”
I’m sort of under the impression he would turn down a position at the Toronto school for little white girls.
But that’s just me.
Try as I might I couldn’t listen to the whole thing. Certain thoughts kept coming to mind like: Where did this guy get his Phd? and what church ordained him? I’m certainly no Obama fan but I would hope that I would never resort to that kind of trash preaching.
The only consolation I received from this is it reinforces my conviction not to wear a clerical collar, or parade my academic credentials when I preach.
Well, I wuz gonna sorta commend him for his observation about Affirmative Action which is a racist programme … but then he mentioned Hussein’s trash ‘cos he got a white momma and he said some very unflattering things about big t*ts and that was the last straw for me …
Joe: I bailed too. All sparks no fire, all sizzle no steak, like too much black pop music today, all frantic caterwauling no real passion, all faux emotion, mistrel show.
I lasted a whole 2 minutes or so……..
If I HAD to say a word, that word would be ummmm Or maybe just the sound of a world class ‘blink’…….
“Prophesy, Pastor Manning!”
I couldn’t watch it all. Seems to be quite a self-aggrandizing fellow with too much fire and brimstone talk. What’s with calling Obama a pimp and long legged freak? No pastor I know gives a sermon where he insults any of his brothers and sisters in Christ. I may not agree with Obama’s policies but I won’t resort to calling him nasty names.
Griff>
“No pastor I know gives a sermon where he insults any of his brothers and sisters in Christ”
Maybe he thinks he’s insulting a brother in Mohammed?
WOW! Wait until John West sees this. I can hardly wait.
Joe:
I wondered the same thing, thinking that perhaps his Phd was from a degree mill. But apparently he was educated at the Union Theological Seminary in NYC, an apparently well-regarded school that’s been around for nearly 200 years…
OK…but whats a ‘Mac Daddy…?
A “Mac Daddy” is considered to be the king of the pimps….
Don’t ask me why…
“Macareux” is French slang for a pimp, don’t ask me why…
“Mac Daddy” is slang for “pimp”, but this guy is on the ragged edge of reality as it is; the woman (“54DDs”) in the video he’s ranting about certainly doesn’t appear to be white.
The “player lovers” line was priceless. Excellent voice projection too. I didn’t really get his Obama rant, it had kind of a eugnenics, racist quality to it. Anyway, he’s not exorting anyone to violence, unless you want to stretch his Elijah thing. I didn’t like his come to me to hear what God wants BS either. He’s got his men pegged though, at least in an inner city context.
I got the impression he is a Hillary supporter. Anyway, I personally don’t like clergy going out on the political limb anyway. Like Gregory Peck’s character, Gen Frank Savage, said in “Twelve O’Clock High,” said to his padre who stowawayed on a mission – “Padre, your mission is sin; in the future you will confine yourself to that theatre of operations.”
Why did you post this, Celestial Junk? I am dumb and I don’t get your point.
The guy is great! At least you know where he stands. Can you truly say the same thing for Obama??
I find Bush more scary.
John:
It’s so over the top … so bizzare … so racist … yet laced with snippets of truth. At the same time, I couldn’t get images of Don Imus out of my head …
If you go to the website and read the mission statement, it would seem that the general idea is that blacks leave vice behind, get to work, become good Christians, and take control of Harlem through economic responsibility.
The screed in the vid is too loopy for that idea to get across though.
I posted it as a point of discussion … because it doesn’t lend itself in the usual left vs right division. I think the comments so far demonstrate that.
After all the black preachers I have heard this week just a shoutin’ and yellin’ one thing and another in some form of Ebonics those black folks must be very confused. I know I am. So, I have a few questions … hep me bro …
– Is it okay to be black with a white mama?
– Is it okay to be a Clinton supporter if ‘they’ didn’t put a quarter billion in your neighborhood?
– Is it okay to have long legs and be in politics?
– Is the god of the black people really that politically challenged?
– Why do they call places where this political shouting takes place all day long a church?
– Is this whole thing just a bad dream? I hope so.
– Who is actually going to vote for the Obama loons other than the apparent chicks with really big tits?
I will wait for some help here.
Yes yes yes AQS, we all know that Bush is the anti-Christ.
I guess you had to drop in some completely un-related comment, since all us ,hidden agenda, scary right wingers are not living up to your expectations wrt this idiot.
Warren Kinsella meets Willis from Different Strokes.
Just add cocktail and mix.
This disgusting game of identity politics is being waged – can you believe it? – on the left.
I love hearing these black preachers let ‘er rip.
Holy ‘All over the map’ Batman! Just when I thought this guy was looney tunes it turns out he has a Phd. Then I thought “In what? Assholology?”.
Then he started to make sense. Next I was thinking he might just be a great stand-up comedian type. Then back to that Phd thing. Wow.
All throughout, the “I’ve got something in my mouth thing” (methinks Monica beat him to it)
I just wish I could speak that well in public. As long as I was delivering a coherent message.
All in all, I give it two thumbs up! (just because I want to)
I have conflicting thoughts about a lot of what he says, but the underlying message is that blacks are being led down the garden path AGAIN by another phony. His message(to me)is that you are a racist fool if you cannot look past a man’s skin colour, vote for substance not for colour.
Jeez, what a “Piss” Head! Sort of a pep rally in the form of poop from the pulpit and racist to the core.
Wow!!! This is just surreal. Here we have the good Rev Wright (make that Wrong) and now this complete nutbar and the Dem’s say that the problem is with the right-wing religious Right??? What in f__k am I missing here?? Maybe, just maybe, this is a turning point where “right thinkers” will be able too point to these absolute hysterical idiots as the norm for the Democratic party. Compared to these monsters the likes of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell look like choir boys. Lets hear from you, you fanatical and lunatic Democrats and all other leftards!!!!
John West>
Hope this helps……………..
Is it okay to be black with a white mama?
Yes, if your mama don’t dance & daddy don’t rock & roll.
– Is it okay to be a Clinton supporter if ‘they’ didn’t put a quarter billion in your neighborhood?
No, because that rhymes with quarter pounder and I got kids to feed.
– Is it okay to have long legs and be in politics?
Yes, so long as you’re under the desk most of the time.
– Is the god of the black people really that politically challenged?
Not really an affirmative horse will always lead to water
– Why do they call places where this political shouting takes place all day long a church?
Tax break.
– Is this whole thing just a bad dream? I hope so.
Nope this is Dr Martin Luther Kings dream.

Chicks with big booty

True enough, wallyj, but when the only choice for substance is a Clinton, what “substance” are you referring to?
This guy is obviously angry, disturbed, and obsessed with race.
Hateful ranting reflects poorly on no one but himself.
Was this Dion’s parish priest?
Oh…my….God…(no pun intended.) Okay, I’ll say nothing more…
I had the good fortune of being brought up in the deep South West of Ontario. In this area many of our neighbours, friends and family were children of the underground railway. The African influence was/is very positive and we are very grateful for the gifts they have given us. One of the greatest gifts of the African community has been their steadfast faith in a God revealed through Jesus of the New Testament.
His message was one of love, responsibility, duty, obedience and commitment. It has also been a message that consistantly taught the importance of not passing judgement on others, but of measuring one’s own life and setting an example. http://buxtonmuseum.com/History/baptist_church_history.html

Sounds like rocking on an antebellum porch sipping sarsaparilla and petting a hound dog. How pleasant.
Knight 99: Sounds like you’ve never visited. Come and see for yourself. You will find no antebellum… just wonderful productive, gorgeous land north of the Lake, kind people, good food and drink. Enjoy!
No indeed I haven’t but I plan to one day. Good luck.
