  1. You know if you average the income of 305 MPs x $150,000 per year = $45,750,000. That will be the low estimate. Now include the money they hand over to CBC and the precious polling system and add in the special, special interests and groups. I think that the Canadians should rent the most lowest, unrated comedy video or dvd and insert it into your machines and will get the same value for it as watching our or reading about the elected MPs in action. I am embarassed for them — but probably not really surprised. Clearly they have not understood the position of many younger members of the LPC that they need to turn the page and rebuild from within. I don’t see that happening. I would have thought that some of their brighter lights would be embarrassed by this sort of thing. I am wondering if even the MSM will begin to abandon their nearly unwavering support for the LPC in the context of an election. A couple of reporters last night (Duffy, I think) said that the Liberal Party really needs to have a policy convention because nonone knows what they even stand for — I am sure they do not. They have lost all perspective with respect to what is in the best interests of Canadians and they are turning the political system into a travesty.

  4. It appears as though the liberals, socialists and other assorted ‘ists have insurmountable problem with this thing we call democracy. This seem to be a constant, whether federal or as Patel, in the Amazing Kreskin illustrates, in Alberta.
    The next time they get in power, they just may do something about this inconvenience.
    The unfortunate part is, that there will be next time.

    She nevers posts the gaffes of Harper. Where is NAFTA-gate and Cad-Scam.
    She filled this blog full of criticism when the ad scandal plagued the liberals but not once does she mention the flubs of Harper.
    This blog doesn’t speak for fair and open dialogue I suppose – its just another part of the extreme right wing propoganda machinery.

    If you want, as you appear to, the extreme left wing propaganda machine, then you came to wrong place. Kate reports on current issues, we the commenters fill the blog with criticisms i.e. citizens of Canada and the US – you know – the voters. She did not fill this blog full of anything but you need some one to blame don’t you, you poor muffin….
    Unfortunately for you she does post about NAFTA and CAD_SCAM, just not the lies and BS coming from the Lieberals and the MSM. If you are willing to suspend reality and believe that a terminal cancer patient, who is well known to be terminal, could be offered an insurance policy by a Canadian life insurance company – well then enjoy the Kool Aid.
