“If you speak out against Guantanamo Bay, that doesn’t mean you’re promoting terrorism. But if you speak out against the human-rights prosecution of Marc Lemire, you’re “promoting” him and his views. Funny how that works, isn’t it?” – Damian Penny

The fundamentals of free speech appear to be totally lost on libs like kinsella.
Perhaps he was playing hookie with his punk buddies the day they covered that concept in his law school.
So if the skinheads are for free speech, then free speech must be bad. Hmmm let me follow the logic. Okay I get it; if the Iraqi president supports Obama then he must be a Muslim.
This is just another example of:
Liberals are either dishonest, insane, intellectually lazy or some combination.

You know I think David Ickes may be on to something about those Lizard People after all….
That’s an excellent piece by Mike Brock, with one small caveat: I don’t believe that Kinsella has good intentions; he waves that placard vigorously above his own head at all times, but IMO he’s a classic bully who tries to get people to shut up by using the threat of lawsuits, and who uses the “racism” card as a tire jack to shut up whoever he wishes to disadvantage in a debate.
It’s impossible to believe that Warren Kinsella truly thinks that anyone who’s in favour of free speech is therefore promoting or seconding the views of anyone who speaks, yet that’s essentially what he’s been beating people over the head with. It’s such a ridiculous proposition. Almost everybody knows that, historically, whenever speech and open debate are suppressed, vile ideas grow and vile men get more power and influence.
I have no idea which bloggers, or how many, have been recently threatened with the lawsuits by Kinsella and/or Warman that Connie Fournier alluded to, just that if every commenter recognizes that the most important battle in a generation is being fought on our home soil in the form of a seemingly incidental series of law suits, and that previous generations have fought with their lives to put us all in this position of being able to face down craven bullies, then our freedoms will not be extinguished by the ilk of Warren Kinsella.
The nightmare scenario would be if bloggers were scared off by his suits instead of fighting back tooth and nail.
If everyone who’s ever commented even once on the subject of WK or Warman puts their money where their mouth is no blogger would be in danger of having their financial well-being harmed by the ilk of a partisan hack with an Idi Amin streak who wishes to use the legal system to muzzle free and open debate.
Does anyone else get the happy feeling that Kinsella massively underestimates not only the size of his opposition’s collective war chest, but the level of unity and, uhh, pluck?

By a country mile;)
Recipe for career suicide; successful lobbying for state censor = no more punk rock allowed!(although I am not really sure how much of a career you will have with a band called “S@#t From Hell”)
i hate those people.
reg, my momma taught me hate is an ugly word, you despise those people, not hate them.
