  1. “This is unfair. Do you think it is easy to grow a pair”.
And in other breasking news, France surrendered again….

  2. We have watched the liberals sit on their hands Over & Over, Now they walk because they will not demand their UnElected Cousins to approve What the Elected have. Watch for it to come up tonite on Duffy Senator Vs Senator the liberal line “We are the House of Second Sober Thought”, Will be used over & over.

  3. Is my math correct? If the Liberals had stayed and voted against the bill it still would have carried. 172 voted in favour while 155 is needed for a majority.

  4. The other Liberal line that will be coming out “We will not be Bullied by this George Bush style Neo-Con Government” Listen for it.

  5. It is laughable that they call it “bullying”. They could have stayed and voted (and brought down the government and been beaten like a drum at the polls). They were cornered by circumstances of their own making.

  6. The Libs can’t cope with not being in power and it really shows. The show contempt for the process. Pink slips in order. If I could, I would.

  7. “You don’t play Fair, Harper is a bully iam taking my Pail & Shovel & going Home, Iam telling my Mommy”

  8. Please please please s##t can the senate.
It is only a tool for the spoiled brat out of power liberals so they can obstruct bills and demonize the CPC.
I’m gonna take my ball and go home now:(

  9. For Sale:
    French Army Tanks
    Like new
    Six gears reverse
One forward in case of attack from the rear

  10. This is all good. Just have to keep getting the message out that the liberals are indecisive, terrorist sympathizers and of course cowards. It is just standard knowledge they are corrupt. That helps, but a message a day keeps the liberals away. I know the liberal spin is going to be what a bully Harper is. There will be sympathy for the weak leader of the liberals, but I can’t see anyone being that stupid they would vote for a weak little kitten.

  11. The argument given why the Senate hasn’t passed the bills in the last 2 months is that they’ve only sat for a handful of days since then.
Can someone please explain what is different about this combination bill from the original 6, all of which were passed and sat in front of the senators for months before the House was prorogued?

  12. Bruce, Fred, Rocky, please guys, you’re hurting the feelings of our deep-thinking “it’s all just chemicals anyway” seperatiste frog.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, no more ad-hominems from you naughty boys.

  13. I’m betting when he gets back the Liberals will suddenly have a new perspective. The “truth” only comes from the mouths of Liberals, you know. Reports commissioned by the CPC can’t be trusted.

  14. its 71 days , with a 18 day official Christmas break.
the old boys of sloppy seconds thought arent exactly hard at it at the best of times.
it will be interesting to see the lieberal MSM spin on CBCpravda and CTV(tass) tonight. Bully tactics scare libs from schoolyard. maybe a whole night of KarlHS and PMBM to deflect the cowardice.
maybe an “at issue ” panel featuring this guy
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JiVpM86oSI
or maybe a very haggard Warren Kinksella, with fresh bandages on his wrists.

  15. It is funny to watch. Harper knows their every move before they make it. Yes, he is a chess player up against the boys whose claim to fame is that they cheat at crazy 8’s.

  16. Let’s not jump to conclusions too quickly here ( that’s a Kinsellian trait) this may be a cleaver plan to plant a secret weapon in the enemy camp.
If Dion does to the Taliban what he had planned for Canada these guys are in trouble.

  17. So this how the LIberals are going to help run OUR country.
Step 1: Hold breath until blue in the face.
Step 2: Cross arms in front of chest.
Step 3: Stamp left foot three times, repeat with right foot, start all over again until satisfied the adults in the house acquiesce.
Step 4: If the adults in the house don’t give in, have hissy fit, walk out and slam the door behind yourself.
Repeat frequently when self-righteous indignation is required.
I think Dion has brought the “official runaway opposition” down the garden path of irrelevance in this parliament and well beyond the next.
The Conservatives that taunted the Liberals as they beat a hasty retreat by singing, “Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye.” says it all.

  18. Just when I thought the Grits might actually cooperate, with their “compromise” on Afghan, they take their ball and go home, again.
How do they expect Canadians to see them as a governing alternative. Dion needs to re-think this silly strategy of abstaining/walking out.
The ironic part is, as pointed out above, they could have stayed in the House, voted against the bill, and not defeated it. They look like they’re scared to face the electorate, but resigned to it, so apparently (I’m skeptical) will vote down the budget, which is ALWAYS a confidence issue, thus forcing election, unless Jack and Gilles, with their merry band of collectivists, pull the rug out from under the Grits; again.

  19. This is crystal clear proof of Liberal thinking. I’m certain they view their spoiled adolescent behavior as “standing on principle” when their only principles are spoiled adolescent behavior.

  20. “In their absence, the motion passed easily, 172-27.”
Who was the last leader that neglected to ‘do the math’? Joe Who?
Dion’s a fool. The entire Liberal caucaus could have sat and voted anyway they wanted and it wouldn’t have made a difference.
Except now the CPC has more ad fodder.
    Cheers,
    lance

  21. Let’s hope that after the election, many of those libs walking out, will watch that being replayed and saying, I was there, see me, but I am not in the new group of liberal mps slinking in, in much reduced numbers as the number 3 party.

  22. When watching the pride of Sask,Ralph Goodale after the big retreat from the House, he reminded me of a spoiled, bratty ,snot-nosed kid! You know the one.The one on the playground that runs to the teacher and tattles on all the other kids then takes his ball and goes home when no one will play with him.
Anyone watch Newman sum up Doucet’s testimony today? Doucet pretty much called KHS the biggest liar ever, had concise, thorough opening statement refuting KHS on everything…but, good ol Don (smarmy,pancake-faced doofus)mocked him for his convenient memory losses.I guess he had to try and counter Doucet’s slamming cbc.Puke-fest at cbc continues.

  23. Ah yes this is what happens when the intelligencia is out of power, they can’t just play fair. Yes the intelligencia as we are told over and over by the grope and fail and commie b. c., are the Liberals, just look a Dion and Ignatief and all those big lesbos behind them, you even have piss tank McCallum who is supposedly part of the cabal. Well it did Rome and Greece a lot of good like it would and has Canada, Turdeau comes to mind. Thank god we have a man with balls leading this country presently, please give him a majority and lets realize Canadas potential.

  24. Sammy, I agree with your adjectives. I agree with them for Newman, he’s a puke, Goodale is a snotty, brown nosed puke.
The Conservatives have the upper hand thus we will be seeing more and more desperate games by the pukes in the MSM and their Liberal buddies.
The Liberals think they’re calling the shots, watch for Harper’s next chess move.

  25. I can understand Dion running away again – it’s in his genes.
But the rest of the liberal MPs who agreed to follow him out of the House in
*another* display of cojone-deficit disorder (CDD) will have to explain to
their constituents what in hell they are doing. Won’t be easy.

  26. …and you are still a frog. ribbit. a mere echo of a dead civilization…..have another gauloise as the Americans do the work of saving Western Civilization. Don’t forget to spit on them now and then.

  27. quebecois separatiste:Doug: I am québécois, not french.
But you don’t wish to be a Canadian??? Merde!

  28. “…and you are still a frog. ribbit”
Doug, I really don’t think that comment was necessary…or appropriate…

  29. Vote would have passed even without the Liberals. What are the odds that Duceppe watched the Libs walk out and decided to vote with the government just to make the Liberals look even worse?

  30. I know I’m biased, but it seems to me here, and on many other occasions, Harper seems to play them, like he knows what they’re thinking.
Harper has learned his lessons well. He got burned big time in his first election. Now he is a bloodied leader with experience at running a party and a government. Dion has neither, and it shows already, before the writ is dropped.

  31. What is the point of them being the Official Opposition. When they don’t officially oppose anything.

  32. the entire motion was a cheap political stunt designed to promote the real issue for the reform party…senate reform.
while senate reform may rock the world of albertans, the rest of us couldn’t care less.

  33. Dion is way more French then I thought.
Whats the difference between his party of pansies walking out and voting no?
Its like a little kid not getting his way and taking his ball home.

  34. Actually, jeff, polls show that the majority of Canadians want Senate reform.
Most Canadians don’t approve of their tax dollars going to pay for patronage appointees, who are completely unaccountable to them or to the government, and who have no fixed terms but can be paid by us for over 40 years. You see, a democracy must be accountable to the electorate. The Senate isn’t; therefore, what is its function?
It is arrogant to assume, as the Senators themselves do, that their function is ‘sober second thought’. That assumes that they have this capacity (unproven); it also assumes that the House and its elected members are incapable of thought and analysis (hmm – debatable). But, the cost of these assumptions far outweighs any value of the Senate. Far better to remove it completely or move to the Australian type – elected and with fixed terms of about 8 years. But, our fat cat Senators don’t want that!
That Crime Bill should be passed; the House approved it. The unelected Senate has no right to hold up the will of our elected representatives.
So, for the Liberals to declare that the House has no right to ‘tell the Senate what to do’ is incorrect. The House’s wishes must be paramount; the Senate, who think of themselves as the Lords of the Land, have no right to dictate to the elected House.

  35. I have this image in my head, Dion reminds me of the line from Forest Gump: Run Forest Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, honestly can he be more undecisive and spineless. Nope he spent most of his life in the Hallowed Halls of French (snicker snicker)Academia where wite flags are worn daily lest they offend.
The new Liberal Mantra should be: I’d rather be Red than deadddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd in the polls.

  36. Reading this comment section has just made my day! I can not believe that those fools are getting paid to be the official opposition. Either sit on your hands and don’t vote, or just don’t be present for the vote. We should have a running total on the official babies, if we don’t like it we will pout. Kate, how many votes have they not been present or abstained from?
