    President Bush’s top adviser on terrorism and homeland security has resigned, as the exodus of Bush’s key aides and confidants continues.
    According to President Bush, Fran Townsend “has ably guided the Homeland Security Council. She has played an integral role in the formation of the key strategies and policies my administration has used to combat terror and protect Americans,”
    Townsend had served in the position for more than 4 and half years. She was appointed Homeland Security Advisor by President Bush on May 28th, 2004. She chaired the White House-based Homeland Security Council and reported to the President.
    She previously served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Combating Terrorism.
    The reason for her resignation has not yet been announced and there has been no word given as to a successor.
    Fran’s resignation marks a substantial revamping to the line-up that President Bush brought to Washington in 2000.
    Earlier this year, top aide Karl Rove, along with press secretary Tony Snow and senior presidential adviser Dan Bartlett left White House.
    Alberto Gonzales, President Bush’s longtime friend and aide resigned earlier this fall. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld also resigned just after the 2006 elections

    That one is really funny. Why didn’t bush just smuggle it our of a New York City Gas Station or fuel supply depot. I mean in a City of about ten million there would be enough fuel on hand. Also, consider that the oil in Iran is not processed and would be really tough to light up with your Bic.
    One more thing, their donut queen Rosie O’Donnell made it pretty clear, that fire cannot melt steel. These folks are really confused.
    The Educational system is so bad in the US these days that I remember reading about some New York school kids not wanting to go on a camping trip to New Jersey because they thought there was a chance they might be eaten by lions and tigers. These kids have absolutely no knowledge of the world they are living in.
    That is liberal education at it’s best. No wonder they say the things they do when get hold of a computer and a lefty blog to share their twisted thoughts.
    We are in trouble folks. If you think we cannot negotiate with the Islamos, try talking people who have zero education and have been propagandized by haters of freedom.
    There will eventually be a civil war between the Conservatives and the planet of the apes.

  30. How come conservatives see “sides” when it’s convenient? By nature of the ideology there are no groups, only individuals, right? Yet, I see sweeping generalizations all the time by self identifying conservatives. There are lunatics and overgrown “children” to be found amongst all camps. I pretty much agree with “mr. smarty pants” and his/her assertions. It’s a baffling/sadly funny visual to see a middle aged woman sitting at her computer and facilitating this redundant rhetoric.
