    I can understand why people with the resources would pay ridiculous amounts of money to experience what Dave’s GETTING PAID to do.

  5. The space shuttle was named Endeavour after the Royal Navy bark commanded by Capt. James Cook during scientific/discovery voyages of the 18th Century. Using the British spelling assures both accuracy and respect. It is also emblematic of our Anglo-Saxon heritage. You’ll notice that no space shuttle has been named Santa Maria.

  6. Was able to tour the Endeavour at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney last November and I will tell you it wouldn’t have been too much fun sailing aboard her unless you were only 4′ nothing. With few exceptions, all the spaces below deck were crawl spaces.
    A bit of trivia: On board the HM Barc Endeavour is a part that was actually taken by NASA into space by the flying Endeavour. Old world exploration meets new world exploration as it were. Now if I can only remember exactly what it was…
