My bet says that if Conrad Black took over any one of these downward trend papers, or groups thereof, we would see a surprising reversal of said downward trend. Too bad he’s otherwise occupied right now.

I find it alwyas curious how evolutionists salivate whenever the make a new ‘discovery’ to support their mathematically impossible position.
like the time supposed microscopic fossils were found in tectites from the artic. ‘proof’ they cried, ‘proof that life began from meteorites from, uh, ummm, Mars!!! ya, thats it, Mars!!!!’

A) how long would it take these tectites to get smashed off the surface of Mars,
B) orbit all the way to earth, and

I recall the circulation figures at the New York Post were healthy, as compared to the leftwing major papers (NYT, LA Times, Tribune, etc.); however, I do not know whether the NYP has been hit by falling classifieds and other advertising revenue. Knowing those figures might give a better indication if this is a reaction against media bias now that alternative technology is available, or whether this is just a result of alternative (and cheaper) technology being available. It might be a case of both–media bias motivating people to switch to a less expensive or more effective method of advertising.

An interesting and telling development. I know from my own personal experience that in the period where I was disgusted with most of the content of the dailies I subscribed to or bought, the only thing I took them for was the want ads.
When I finally pulled the plug on buying any paper I decided that I got more from the independent bargain papers or the buy sell trade sites on the net….as for want ads for employment, no one used a paper for employment search these days…except maybe the needy.
Seeing the classified dive in the major centers may be an indicator that people are changing their classified needs to alternative media as well.
In any event not a good sign for the MSM broadsheets.

My personal survey over the last little while of my contacts has shown a steady decline in paper reading and particularly television watching. Everyone has computers and uses them for information as we see in our blogs. The MSM bias ticks people off but it seems to be that reading newspapers takes too much time. Always amazed at the amount of people who have no interest in any media.

I agree with you on the television thing; after expressvu cut out for the umpteenth time and I cancelled the subscription, Ive only used the television to watch DVDs.

the saddest thing is , after all the private MSM have failed we will still have the largest dinosaur to deal with CBCpravda , the T-wrecks of the MSM.
