As though “King Fahd Academy in Acton” Wasn’t The First Clue

The principal of an Islamic school has admitted that it uses textbooks which describe Jews as “apes” and Christians as “pigs” and has refused to withdraw them.
Dr Sumaya Alyusuf confirmed that the offending books exist after former teacher Colin Cook, 57, alleged that children as young as five are taught from racist materials at the King Fahd Academy in Acton.
In an interview on BBC2’s Newsnight, Dr Alyusuf was asked by Jeremy Paxman whether she recognised the books.
She said: “Yes, I do recognise these books, of course. We have these books in our school. These books have good chapters that can be used by the teachers. It depends on the objectives the teacher wants to achieve.”

  1. when it is stated that it is not open to interpretation, you are not meant to change a single word… however in reading the text everything is open to individual interpretation.
for instance some people in this blog have read bits and pieces of the Koran from internet sites and have decided it is a violent religion… and I have read parts of the actual book and disagree
as for a violent history read some more buddy (and i use that term losely)- Christianity and Judaism both have violent histories- I have respect for all religions unlike some
extremist muslims wont tolerate moderate muslims?? who cares!!!! that doesnt stop them from existing! But when you claim all muslims are this or that you do include the moderate people too-
so much talk about the denial of genocide in Germany, once again very wrong!! but if it were upto you lot im sure that there would a similar situation with the muslims in place of the Jews

  2. Yup keep talkin’, punk. The more you do so, the more you start sounding like a mouthpiece. I’ll bet you work for CAIR or the Islamic Council of Canada….nothing but front groups for evil t*wel heads.
I also note you didn’t deny my asserions re: ghanima. Think I ain’t read enough still, loser?

  3. “extremist muslims wont tolerate moderate muslims?? who cares!!!! that doesnt stop them from existing! But when you claim all muslims are this or that you do include the moderate people too-”
Ummm, you’re getting a little dense now. How could they exist if extremists view moderates as apostates? Apparently you don’t know what they do with apostates.
Cut the crap with the I read the koran and you didn’t bs. You’ve obviously read very little of the koran. You do know the mo was a pedophile right?

  4. “Some allies those Saudi vermin have turned out to be!! They are the source of so much of this sh*t beign funnelled out to world. We would have down more to stop terrorism by clamping down HARD on those evil b*st*rds, and the filthy Pakistanis, than going into Iraq, I believe.

All too true, SOMAS, but the one is the gateway to the oil of the middle east and the other is nuclear armed. The third leg of the troika is, of course, Iran, which has diplomatic cover from China and Russia. So the West will continue to fight the war in the peripheral theatres of Iraq and Afghanistan, and maybe now Somalia, while the heart of the dragon keeps pumping a virulent mixture of hate, terrorism and subversion against the increasingly dhimmified West. The theatre in which the most losses are being taken seems to be right at home.

  5. some insight, if you want to help, and you want to convince me, then get your friends to make up some placards, and go protest outside the mosques that house imams that are spreading poison – “Preaching of Violence in the name of Islam Underway Here”. And rat them out to authorities as well, please.
    Action, not apologies, please.

  6. “you want to convince me, then get your friends to make up some placards, and go protest outside the mosques that house imams that are spreading poison – “Preaching of Violence in the name of Islam Underway Here”.”
Two different scenarios could occur here.
1: Muslims inside the mosque could come outside and kick the hell out of the protesters for their abuse of islam (PBUH).
2: Get arrested for causing a disturbance/not a licensed protest, you get my meaning.

  7. Exactly, randall g.
The entire civilized world is under attack by an idealogy ripped from the seventh century, which is force-fed to children from cradle to grave.
The Qur’an and the hadith were simply a record of a man claiming to be a prophet in 7th century Arabia, (and a horny little devil, at that.) In the turmoil of one tribe trying to gain supremacy amongst others, Muhammad hit on the concept of angelic visitations giving him an edge, and he used it in spades. Seems that he was particularly keen on justifying his lechery for his nephew’s wife and a 6 year old, and sundry others, so invented Archangel Gabriel’s visits to justify scoring.
I don’t see Mohammad a prophet. To me he’s more likely a lecher who’d do anything to gain power, which he sought to do, and which he accomplished. His hatred for Christians and Jews stems from the very fact that they alone offered a competing montheism in the area, and he desperately wanted to offer the arabs of the ‘hood a viable option. What to do? Behead the opposition and offer jihad, and claim that everything he uttered was Allah’s word.
Give me a break. Exactly how illiterate or brain-washed does one have to be to buy into this garbage? Oh, I forgot… every muzzie has to kneel down, face Mecca 5 times a day and repeat the mantra that Allah is the one true god, and Mohammad is his only prophet (may he roll amongst virgins forever in paradise.) What if one should disagree and question any of this garbage? Well, the Qur’an says any muzzie is under compulsion to track down the apotheist and kill him, otherwise he will be also be thrown into hell along with jooos & christians.
So-called moderate muslims are nothing else except gutless, mindless sheep. I don’t give a damn that what I’ve said is politically incorrect. What I give a damn about is that we’ve become so comfortable in our society that we’ve allowed a socialist malaise to subvert our core values, and under the guise of multiculturism, allowed this cancer that is Militant Islam to grow in our midst.

  8. what ‘they’ do with them.. are you serious.. ??
im not saying that i know the Koran better than anyone else.. i have a lot to learn, but so do all of you!
and im not apologising for anything – i wasnt involved why should i be sorry?
and dont claim to know me… maybe i am already protesting.. but then again maybe not… fact is you dont know what my religious preference is or what kind of actions i take
I am NOT part of any islamic group- just someone who thinks that stereotypes, especially such extreme views that have been expressed here is not right and it makes you no different to the terrorists out there who blame the west for a lot of things.
i know a lot of good muslims who would not harm and ant, i also know a lot of christians, jews and people who dont believe in God who are equally good people-
im not defending one group here, if these statements were being made in regards to any other group- regardless of religion or race- my anger would be the same.
my point through out this whole blog has been to stop judging whole communities on the actions of small groups… if you read back i keep reiterating this but it seems you are missing the point..
although i dont know why im trying… clearly if you had that sort of brain power you would have gotten the point a long way back!
    but just one last shot:
    STOP STEREOTYPING!!!!!!!!!

  9. I have respect for all religions unlike some
You want to put that same sentiment forward for political systems too? – totalitarian vs democratic? Of course not, unless you are an idiot. But, amazingly without one iota of irony you state your lame all-being-equal nonsense because it’s a religion comparison, hence, all logic and reason must be suspended as if religions are exempt from scrutiny.
For starters, you haven’t read the Koran, at least very well. And, more moronic, you seem to have missed the well documented 24/7 activities of that religion from jihad to dhimmitude to half a billion females subjugated to its primitive edicts – a state you would not tolerate in your own society. And, that’s what is always fascinating about minds like yours, the deceitfulness and shallowness of giving permissions to that which they themselves would never tolerate in their own lives.

  10. huh!
    all equal?
when you meet someone and they believe in the muslim religion what springs to mind?
    exactly!
how bout all being judged FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS!
how silly of me- that is so idiotic obviously- we should judge you then based on the actions of everyone in your city? or everyone with the same hair colour as you?
i dont need to read anything to know that that is wrong and if you see nothing wrong with that well then we know where the root of problems in society springs from!
and a hint… its not a book that was delivered to the world over a thousand years ago

  11. Some Insight…. Truthfully, I have sympathy for the moderate muslims who have found their religion hijacked by lunatics. I have a number of muslim co-workers whom I am totally certain are not interested in fundamentalist Islam and are outstanding and contributing Canadians.
However, I see my choices as one of these:
    A) I offer my open arms to Muslims to come to Canada, accepting that most of them will be fine citizens, but having to accept that some significant minority will hate me, raise their children to hate me, organize themselves against me, and propagate at a faster rate than me so that there will be more of their hateful grandchildren than of my grandchildren.
    B) I close to door to Mulsims in Canada and I don’t have to deal with the problem. Sure, I may miss out on some good people, but ultimately lots of people without such issues are clamouring to come to Canada from Eastern Europe, Asia and South America. They are Christians or atheist or Buddhist (I am atheist, by the way) and understand this society, will not separate themselves from this society. Their children will go to public schools and not be indoctrinated in Saudi funded Madrassas
Frankly, I will choose option B. Every time.
So the argument that we are judging the group by the actions of a minority may be true, but irrelevant. I don’t want to deal with even the minority. Life is hard enough without having to worry if my transit vehicle is about to explode on the way to work.
As I see it, the ONLY way around this situation is that the so called Mulsim Moderate Majority realize that if they don’t take charge of things their future and that of their offspring in this country is dim, and boot out the lunatics from their midst. No fire breathing Imams, no hateful teachings in “muslim academies”, reject all Saudi funding, and bend over backwards to convince the Western world that we are better off with them, then without them.
Now, how likely is this to happen?

  12. is the situation really that dire?
if you ‘allow’ muslims into canada are your granchildren going to be tortured and killed?
i understand your options and i totally agree with the fact that the minority are lunatics and need a really good shake up- in fact i would be very happy to see them all thrown away on a deserted island to self destruct
but i do think that the moderate muslims are bearing the brunt of the minorities actions-
they are being stereotyped on a daily basis and civilians in countries such as iraq and afganistan are suffering as a result of our so called “fight against terrorism”
that is where i have a problem and in terms of the muslims trying to migrate to the western world, a majority of them are trying desperately to escape the life inflicted on them by the extremist groups…
it is for these people that i feel for, and it is due to these people that i have a serious problem with some of the negative views that are out there… and on this blog
i do understand the situtation but i think that people like you and I, who are able to idenitfy the problem and understand the situation and who were lucky enough to be born in a western country should be the ones to try and help those that arent so lucky
call me idealistic but if one person walks away from this forum with a more open minded approach to this problem we are having then im happy-

  13. TONE DOWN THE RHETORIC
If you cannot discuss this controversy (which is in the UK) without acting like idiots, then don’t comment at all. That includes too many of you to list here.
Commenting here is a privilege. Don’t give me reason to regret granting it.

  14. open minded approach huh? how does surrender sound?
Radical Islamofascists are cold blooded killers who have bought into a logic that permits and possibly encourages that behavior. There is no “open minded” in dealing with them – that is suicidally stupid. You either avoid, or vanquish. Quite simple.
I suggest you get on the team with us and help vanquish them. A little contemplation of the demographics and population dynamics ought to convince you that this is a problem that will only get much, much worse.
Action, insight, action. There is no substitute for action. Expose it to the public, to the media, to the authorities and denounce radical Islam whereever you find it – that’s how you and I as citizens can vanquish it. We know it’s here already, and probably not declining.

  15. Ive been enjoying this post basically on religions, mainly because I am in my middle seventies, and am closer to whatever or whoever is right. I am a member of a small but devout religion that believes that when you die your soul goes to a car-wash in Kamsack Sask. I’m not sure about the virgins.

  16. suppose we better all converge on Kamsack to check out the virgin.
reminded me of an old Groucho Marx. he said “Im so old I remember Doris Day before she became a virgin”

  17. Some Insight – the situation is not dire right now, not in Canada. But what will it be in a generation? When we have a 5-10% Muslim population, empowered by numbers, block voting in a democracy (I dare say they will not vote for Steve Harper!) and by their willingness to confront, whereas most Canadians shy away from confrontation.
I would like to believe that decency, civility and common interests such as having a prosperous and safe country for our children to grow up in will help us avoid a problem.
But previously tolerant people (dare I include myself?) are looking at what is going on in England, and France, and other European countries and are thinking that we are on the same track, just a generation behind. We are being told that Canada is different, that the problem in Europe is a social one, of societal marginalization and exclusion, but from this side of the Atlantic, it looks pretty much like a religious and ideological/dogmatic issue.
People also look at what is going on in the Middle EAst, and start to think that Islam is the religion of lunatics. Yes, I know, there are other issues there too, but bottom line is that right now in the world Islam is involved on one or both sides of nearly every massacre. It does not inspire faith that we are going to be promoting peace in for our children by inviting it into our midst.
Moderate Muslims need a Martin Luther King-like leader to gather them, eject the radicals from the fold, and demonstrate that they can leave in peace with others. Right now I don’t know a lot of non-muslims who are certain that peaceful co-existence can happen, and I know many who 5 years ago had no opinion on the issue, or were vaguely positive, but now have rather negative opinions of Islam.
If I were a moderate Muslim trying to raise family in Canada, I would be very worried about what has happened in the past few years.

  18. yeah i see your point, i just really think that there are far more moderate muslims than extremist ones and its a shame to see people suffer due to a religious belief
i feel like we are going backwards to the days where free speech was punished and you were prosecuted for political and religious views…
what we need it a strategic attack to combat this with out waging war on poor countries who cant afford to defend themselves and who’s innocent civilian pay the price
it is such things that foster an unhealthy community and social unrest- i guess the problem is way past remedy for those who are already indoctrinated but we need to ensure that these teachings of violence and hatred towards others is no longer in practice
this brings me back to the article as well as the comments on this blog.. both parties are permitting and encouraging hatred for the other group
books (that kids are learning from) refering to christians as apes and jews as pigs and people on this blog refering to muslims as a number of things
    the whole situation is wrong
but hey thats just my opinion and i guess thats why people post states on these blogs to somehow express their views in the hopes of creating more understanding

  19. Insight had said: :”I dont agree with whats going on in that school but i also dont agree with stereotyping and judgements”
I’m just curious. I get the feeling that Insight might be quite young, and hence, hasn’t developed the very quality from which he/she took the name. All that is happening throughout the ME, is but petty political wrangling and jockeying for temporary power and position.
The goal remains the same and goes back to Mohammed himself and successors Ibn Taymiyah in the early 1300’s and the Wahhabists in the early 19th century. An Islamic Caliphate is still the primary motivation, and of the Sunni’s in particular, as represented by the House of Saud. The ‘Royal House’ is itself despised by the Wahhabists who reappeared as the Muslim Brotherhood of Said Qutb in 1924. The Sauds have only remained in power by massive infusions of capital into Wahhabist schools throughout the ME and by allowing the Wahhabist elements free reign to do their evil unimpeded. The 4,000 royals know their heads will be chopped, should they consider withdrawing support. So they supply the US with both oil and enemies.
There is no question that Islam, as a faith, is determined to first return it’s followers to a state of purity, and then to subjugate the worlds of the infidel for the greater glory of allah.
In the year 2007, it sounds bizarre, other worldly and somehow, like a bad apocolyptic novel. But the truth of it is undeniable.
For ‘Insight’, I recommend, ‘Sleeping With the Devil’ by Robert Baer. It will give him the historical and geopolitical INSIGHT that he needs in order to see the world as it truly is.

  20. shaken at February 7, 2007 4:42 PM says
“I had a huge laugh yesterday at an NPR news item on the year of the pig in China. A Chinese official was stumbling through an English talking point about how they want to have a “harmonious society” (and doing a much better job of it than Borat). Result? No pig images, photographic, or otherwise, permitted in advertising in China during this luckiest of years. In the name of harmony.”
I read more or less the same thing last week, where the WSJ comlained about a Nestle ad being banned in China for the same reason.
However I live in southern China, Zhuhai, and haven’t noticed this ban as there are ads on TV depicting the pig, even one for McDonalds. One station has even changed its ident page to include a number of dancing pigs. Also ads from HK also depict the pig and I am sure they would be censored if this were the case.

  21. Insight said: “what we need it a strategic attack to combat this with out waging war on poor countries who cant afford to defend themselves and who’s innocent civilian pay the price”
Here’s another example of that lack of insight demonstrated by Insight. We are not “waging war ON poor countries”, we are waging war WITH (as in assisting) poor countries which are incapable of defending themselves from the vicious, tribal, feudal and apocolytic warlords of fundamentalist Islam. The innocent civilians are that, all right, but be that as it may, they have to make a choice to fight for their own self-preservation and a chance for a better life, or accept life under tyrants as represented by the Taliban.

  22. i havnt read the book suggested but i will… im open to other views and happy to take on board anything that makes sense to me… however nothing i have read as yet on this blog has managed to strike me as being an accurate depiction, other than maybe a select few random comments
there is a lot of corruption going on in all political environments, both states run my islamic law and otherwise- the difference i guess is that one is easier to identify than the other
its interesting that there is talk of the pig being banned in china yet a resident claims this isnt the case…
think about what that means for a second-
what kind of image is that suppose to trigger in the minds of those watching that news broadcast on the muslim community? and to think the news is not accurate…who would have guessed
on another note- maybe i am young… but what im offering here isnt some ‘wise’ views just and ‘insight’ into another way of thinking about things, and in my opinion a more just way of thinking…
the important thing to learn, and now i feel like im repeating myself, is not to have one general view on a group of millions of individuals all of which are probably very different if you took the time to take a closer look

  23. randy you have to be kidding me right????
can you just have another read of what you have posted?? WITH poor countries??? ASSISTING them??
they need to fight for themselves??
have you ever read between the lines of a news report??? these people dont have a choice! its one view or another forcfully being pushed on to them while they are far too busy trying to feed their children to do anything about it or even notice- they literally dont have the resources or the luxury of time to fight their own battles??? are you kidding me!
    this is a fact!
try travelling to the middle east and speaking to some locals you will see a whole other world than what you have generated in your head!
the way these governments are running the country is shocking and to add insult you think you are assisting and fighting for??? the western world (and i am just as much of this community as you are, i see it in people around me) doesnt give 2 sh*ts about the innocent civilians – comments that you and your friends have made in this blog are proof of that-
    PLEASE give me a break!
there is some INSIGHT for you to digest!!

  24. they have to make a CHOICE to fight for their own self-preservation and a chance for a better life, or accept life under tyrants as represented by the Taliban-
you really believe thats a choice they have??!

  25. And for further INSIGHT into this issue, may I suggest you read Steyn’s America Alone and Phillips
    Londonistan for starters?
Both well documented in support of the facts presented.

  26. Some insite for the moles:
‘do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends’
‘And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them’
‘Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists’
‘They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them’

  27. I’ll start opening my mind to them when they start airing ” Little Chapel in the Desert” on Al-Jazeera.
    Until then….

  28. “I am NOT part of any islamic group- just someone who thinks that stereotypes, especially such extreme views that have been expressed here is not right and it makes you no different to the terrorists out there who blame the west for a lot of things.”
“Extreme views,” says the resident expert, some insight. Well, these are extreme views:
He it is who hath sent His Apostle with the Guidance and a religion of the Truth,
that He may make it Victorious over every other religion . . .
    Koran 9:33
“And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God
wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them
with every kind of ambush; but if they shall convert, and observe prayer, and pay
the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful.”
“O Believers! – make not friends of your fathers or your brethren if they love Unbelief
above Faith; and whoso of you shall make them his friends, will be wrongdoers.”
“Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given as believe
not in God, or in the last day, and who forbid not that which God and His Apostle
have forbidden, and who profess not the profession of the Truth, until they
pay tribute out of hand, and they be humbled.”
“The Jews say, ‘Ezra (Ozair) is a son of God;’ and the Christians say, ‘The Messiah
is a son of God.’ Such the sayings in their mouths! They resemble the saying
of the Infidels of old! God do battle with them! How are they misguided!”
“He it is who hath sent His Apostle with the Guidance and a religion of the
Truth, that He may make it victorious over every other religion, albeit they
who assign partners to God be averse from it.”
“God promiseth the hypocritical men and women, and the Unbelievers, the fire of
Hell – therein shall they abide – this their sufficing portion! And God hath cursed
them, and a lasting torment shall be theirs.”
“O Prophet! – contend against the infidels and the hypocrites, and be rigorous with
them. Hell shall be their dwelling place! Wretched the journey thither!”
“Never pray thou over anyone of them who dieth, or stand at his grave – because
they believed not in God and His Apostle, and died in their wickedness.”
“Verily, of the faithful hath God bought their persons and their substance, on condition
    of Paradise for them in return; on the path of God shall they fight, and slay, and be slain;
a promise for this is pledged in the Law, and in the Evangel, and in the Koran – and who
more faithful to his engagement than God? Rejoice, therefore, in the contract that
ye have contracted; for this shall be the great bliss.”
“Believers! – wage war against such of the infidels as are your neighbors,
and let them find you rigorous; and know that God is with those who
fear him . . . But as to those in whose hearts is a disease, it will add
doubt to their doubts, and they shall die infidels.”
    From the Koran, Sura 9:5-126
None of this can be claimed to be ‘taken out of context.’ The commands are very clear and precise.
Furthermore, Mohammad’s claim to be a prophet in the line of succession through Abraham, Moses and Jesus is fraudulent by exception. He being the only non-Jew. On top of that, he and his message are redundant.
Mohammad is a fraud, who wrote a fraudulent book, supporting a fraudulent ‘religion’ as a cover for a political, kleptomaniac and supremacist ideology.
He married Aisha when she was six years of age, consummating the marriage at nine. He personally ordered the butchery of over 600 innocent Jewish civilian men at Trench. And then had his terrorist troops pilage and rape – afterwards selling the widows and daughters into slavery. He ordered two poets murdered at Mecca for insulting him. The list goes on and on.
You would have to be either extremely naive or have a sick and twisted sense of morality to call a monster like that a prophet of God or ‘the perfect’ example for mankind to follow.
This, however, is what all Muslims regardless of sect, share and is the cause of the hate in the children’s school books. It’s a fools game to judge “case by case,” when each vile case is joined at the foundation, which is called Islam.
The foundation of Islam is where the root of reform must take place. That’s what reformers and apostates like Hirsi Ali are campaining for.

  29. There is no evidence that violent jihadists and their sympathizers are the majority of muslims in Canada or anywhere else. However, they do appear to be a significant minority, and, further, there is also no evidence that the so-called “moderate muslims”, if they exist, are ready to confront and deal with, on any significant scale, the extremism in their midst.
Until we can be certain that Islam has sorted itself out in such a way that it is no longer intolerant to other faiths and cultures, we cannot maintain in Western countries, the “open tolerant” societies that we would like, at least as regards intolerant Islam. The best prescription, until we can be sure that all elements in this “religious” group are no longer antipathetic to our core values in the West, is separation, ie staying as much as possible out of each others’ world. The logical national policy conclusion coming out of this would be ending immigration from Islamic countries for the indefinite future, and deporting any and all with known terrorist affiliations, or who are shown to have been preaching hate or intolerance within existing communities.
I’m sorry, but this should be evident to anyone who has observed events of the last 20 years and who has listened to the credible utterances of leaders such as bin Laden, Ahmadinejad, and the type of preachings in mosques in Europe, Australia and North America that are now so frequently making their way out into the mainstream media.

  30. Karl Jung weighs in on Mohammad and his cult:
Karl Jung, The Collected Works Volume 18, The Symbolic Life (1939), Princeton University Press, p. 281. The chapter is itself called “The Symbolic Life”, and Jung was asked two questions, the first of which is the most relevant:
First, had he any views on what was likely to be the next step in religious development?
“We do not know whether Hitler is going to found a new Islam. (He is already on the way; he is like Mohammad. The emotion in Germany is Islamic; warlike and Islamic. They are all drunk with wild god). That can be the historic future.”

  31. Insight wrote: “and in my opinion a more just way of thinking…”
As is too often the case, it appears that Insight’s ‘way of thinking’ is based more on wishful thinking and ‘feelings’ as evidenced by his/her posts. This concept is characteristic of the fuzzy left – all people are inherently good and when they do bad things, it is because in some sense, they are victims of others through religion, politics, economics, geography or any of a number of other ‘oppressive’ possibilities.
While they cling to the belief in inherent goodness, they refute any possiblity of inherent evil.
When I stated that ‘innocent civilians’, had to choose to fight for their own survival and freedom or live under tyranny, Insight’s response was that: “they are far too busy trying to feed their children to do anything about it or even notice”. How then, does he account for ‘civilian women’ surrounding Hiz’bollah fighters in order to protect them from Israeli airstrikes and artillery? They are making a deliberate and conscious choice and thus, while still mothers, are hardly ‘innocent civilians’.
OTOH, Canadian troops are supporting an elected government in Kabul, allowing them time to build the civil infrastructure of army, police, judiciary and legislature that are a necessary part of any stable, functional state. The Afghani people have a responsibility to make the Taliban unwelcome and unsafe in their midst – a dangerous thing for a civilian community to do – but nonetheless, no more dangerous than the alternative, which is having a Taliban regime making their lives unlivable for years to come.

  32. The more things change, the more they….
Insight may find the following quote interesting for it’s consistency with today’s history.
    Winston Churchill On Islam
A quote from an 1899 book by Winston Churchill, “The River War”, in which he describes Muslims he apparently observed during Kitchener’s campaign in the Sudan
    ——————————————————————————–
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science – the science against which it had vainly struggled – the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.

  33. People who insist on taking literally all of the words of any ancient manuscript or book (Bible, Koran, whatever) are closing their minds to the progress societies have made (or in the case of Islam -should have made) over the last millenia.
Any rational, thinking person could only come to one conclusion regarding the so-called religion of Islam today, and that is: Islam is still largely controlled by fanatical power hungry zealots who have not even entertained, let alone tolerated, the idea of a progressive thought for hundreds of years. Most of the clerics of Islam today are still rooted firmly in the barbaric doctrines of centuries ago.
That is why Islam still suffers under their backwards barbaric values sytem, their sharia law, their religious fatwahs, their brain-washing madrasahs, and their mosques which are often little more than fronts for recruiting new jihadists.
One should judge people on an idividual basis and not tar everyone with the same brush you say? Fair enough. But in this process of fair-mindedness, one should not become so myopic that he overlooks the bigger picture. And the bigger picture with regards to Islam today is a pretty horrific one. It is time they cleaned up their act, or get the hell off the planet.

  34. Re: felis corpulentis: “Until we can be certain that Islam has sorted itself out in such a way that it is no longer intolerant to other faiths and cultures, we cannot maintain in Western countries, the “open tolerant” societies that we would like, at least as regards intolerant Islam. The best prescription, until we can be sure that all elements in this “religious” group are no longer antipathetic to our core values in the West, is separation, ie staying as much as possible out of each others’ world. The logical national policy conclusion coming out of this would be ending immigration from Islamic countries for the indefinite future, and deporting any and all with known terrorist affiliations, or who are shown to have been preaching hate or intolerance within existing communities.”
I whole heartedly second that motion.

  35. I’ve been a proponent of a moratorium on muslim immigration, if not an outright ban, for some time. It could become a bill passed in the interests of national security. It obviously wouldn’t be fail safe, however, by disallowing immigrants from predominantly muslim countries, I’m sure very few would trickle through.
Sadly, though, it’ll probably take another terrorist action for our government to even think this way.

  36. “No different then the junk they teach in text book in some of our own schools”
Really? Do you have something to back that up?

  37. “No different then the junk they teach in text book in some of our own schools”

  38. He’s long ago gone. The shady characters in the blog discussions disappear at the first signs of facts LOL
