  4. Anyone read column in Tor.Star by Rudyard Griffiths today?It HAS to be a joke!Titled:Memo TO DION:Go west young man!..Griffiths says Lib.leaders path to victory in next election begins in Alta.
    One sentance stands out,”Specifically,Dion should throw the polls,the pundits,and cauyion to the wind,and run in Alberta in the next election.
    Figures Dion should take Landslide Annies riding! IS HE ON GLUE????Maybe he figures all you “easy money”folk,are going to be easy on him!I’m sure y’all will welcome him with open arms.
    Because I have no life..other than SDA,I tend to think a lot,today I came up with the answer for how Harper can pacify Jack Layton,and all the rest that want troops out of Afghanistan.Isn’t there snow predicted for the center of the universe (TO)…the troops will HAVE to come to their rescue,again.That’s way more important than what they are doing!Problem solved.

  5. Sammy, very good post. ….And the solution to the troop deployment in torrana would make the liberano scary ads true. The latte crowd are still trying to stand on top of their knocking knees and , of course, they are still very afraid – of something..they are too foggy to remember what. Bonus (anyway)!!
    Would there be fear and anguish in the streets as the soldiers select certain driveways to clear leaving others clogged with snow? Snow that was never again supposed to happen – cityzon Dion promised Glob all warming and the Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, said he could not make that promise. Broken Glob all promises by the nasty Conservatives; the Conservatives did not send Mo tse the $$ so Mo sent snow!! That’s the ticket! Ride with it.
    The Ontario teachers union would go out ‘en force’ to enforce the ‘on call’ status of the Canadian Military so they could not go overseas and fight for the Freedom of anyone in the ME. The teachers in Ontario, apparently want Israel to disappear and that can’t happen unless the glob all turns against Israel.
    Imagine our Canadian soldiers, in the streets of Afghanistan, building schools for children? Defending old people and women against Terrorists? With guns and kindness. Women not wearing tents? I am not making this up.

    OT here,but found interesting article in “Faith”section of Wpg.Free Press Sun.
    Muslim calls for “faith-specific”health care.
    ABritish Muslim academic called on Friday,for “faith-specific”health care for the country’s largest minority faith community.
    Writing in the British Medical Journal,Prof.Aziz Sheikh of Edinburgh University argued that Britain’s 1.6 million Muslims have the poorest health profile of any minority.
    “There are few faith-centered initiatives aiming to improve health outcomes for our largest minority faith community,” he wrote.
    This reflects the general failure among academics,policy-makers and clinicians to appreciate the particular needs faith communities may have.
    Sheikh said the state National Health Service should implement a system to record the religious affiliation of patients,saying this would allow Muslims to see doctors of the same sex as themselves and also avoid pork and alcohol-derived drugs,banned by their religion.
    Sheikh,who is professor of primary care research and development at Edinburgh Univ.,said infant male circumcision should be provided by the NHS,so poorer parents would not have to resort to what he called the poorly regulated private health sector.
    He also wants better prayer facilities for Muslims in NHS hospitals.
    A Dept.of Health spokeswoman denied any discrimination against Muslims,saying services were decided locally according to clinical need and the “diversity of the local population”
    “All patients are entitled to ask to see doctors of a certain sex,”said spokeswoman,on condition of anonymity in line with department policy.

  13. Poor UK muslims should have no problem resorting to traditional muslim medicine, which is based on removal of problem organs. I don’t mind.
    On a sidenote, I feel discriminated against here in Canada: they don’t allow me to ask to see only young gorgeous female doctors, I have to bear with the old bold guys with moustache. Maybe it’s better for me, but still NOT FAIR! 🙂 LOL
