15 Replies to “Steyn On O’Reilly”

  1. Bill O’Reilly had a great interview with Mark Steyn tonight!
No Canadian journalist can hold a candle to Mark Steyn.
Totally ripped the AP for their deceitful reporting, bordering on treason.
Makes one wonder about the CP in Canada, doesn’t it?
Pity we don’t have a Canadian broadcaster with the balls of Bill O’Reilly as well.

  2. Read Steyns column in this weeks issue of Western Standard. He really rips the Montreal Anglican article, reprinted in the Nigeran Anglican, by Canon Smart. Takes off on the remark that got the cbc head honcho on the unemployment list. Also says he is willing to be interviewed or debated on any christain station, no one has ever asked him. He wonders if Christain stations are allowed in Canada.

  3. Did anyone mention that noone on the ISG members has had any Military background to speak of? You would think that at least one member would have had. Their advice on the military mission is worth what?
Did they mention that when the Study Group went to Iraq that they didn’t leave the green zone and only spent 3 1/2 days there. Glenn Beck described this as going to the Grand Canyon and spending all your stay in the interpretive center, then comming out with tourism recomendations.

  4. Bill O’Reilly is not a journalist, he is an entertainer. His reporting is patriotic prattle, with little in the way of facts……….but lots of hot air.

  5. Richard. I think you have it slightly wrong. The way I see it its the entertainers, the likes of Dixie Chicks, Streisand, Belafonte, Penn, Baldwin, O’Donnell and on and nauseating on that are full of hot air. I love the way O’Reilley sticks it to them every chance he gets. O’Reilley is a true patriot. I wish there were more like him.

  6. Mary T: I must have missed that part of the article. I’m guessing Michael Coren would be pleased to have Steyn on his show, and I know we’d all enjoy watching him crush the hapless twerps on the left side of the table. Cruel but fun.
I know a producer at another CTS program and am tempted to send him Steyn’s email…

  7. Canada requires Mark Steyn on regular TV for the sheeple, I guarantee his show would abso-freakin-lootly crush all of the competition.
If ratings are the soul bedrock of the newsliars in Canada, then you have to worry why Steyn isn’t hosting his own show.
I think the Mansbridges, Duffys, Van Deusins, Tabers et al are all, deathly afraid of him.
    They would quickly become irrelavent.
I could not imagine Pansbridge even interviewing Steyn. I can’t imagine Steyn debating Taliban Jack, without Steyn actually laughing out loud at him.
Actually I can imagine it, and it’s too glorious to ever happen in this countries AP promoting chickenshit news agencies.
It was Steyn that directed me through his website to SDA and the discovery that Canada at least has a chance.
    A bit OT.
National Post (ex-employer of Mark Steyn) is seriously in freefall into the left leaning groupspeak.

  8. Glad to see that Mark Steyn is making his way into the Canadian awareness. A straight shooter who is not thrown by the usual political bafflegab his blog Styneonline is a joy to read. Bill O’reilly has become a bit of a let down recently since he declared that the IGR had great merit. How anybody with a brain can get caught up in the “elderstatesman” hogwash is beyond me. I watched them first congratulate each other and pat each other on the back and then deliver ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They have studied little and made motherhood statements for their last hoorah and we should give it lttle credence. These are guys who probably can’t even manage their own email while we have 19 year olds out there handling equipment and situations that the ISG couldn’t even begin to understand. We have well trained Officers out there doing their jobs and these are the people we should listen to. And we are supposed to think the the group that never left the green zone has a solution??? Sandra Day O’Conner??? Please! James Baker??? Please! He is the one who’s intransigence in the face of taking out Hussein in 91 has greatly contributed to our current difficulties. And we want to listen to HIM?? So Bill O’reilly has bought into a report that is at best inadequate and at worse a lie. What a disappointment. I am so glad Mark Steyn sees through it.

  9. Bob, your definition of a patriot must mean you approve of liars. Bill O’Reilly has been caught in so many lies, it is disgusting how he deceives those who listen to him. His talents would be more suited to writing for the companies that leave those flyers on the windshield of your car at the malls.

  10. Tex….believe Bill all you want, but he has been caught in many lies. He is not a credible reporter or news commentator. If you cannot see what he does is for the “ratings”, and his own personal glorification…maybe even diefication, that is your choice. Life is about choices, you gotta make the right ones or else we end up going in circles, but wait, we seem to be very good at that don’t we. When we look back on history we can see we do nothing but go in circles.

  11. I am half way through “America Alone”, Steyn. IMO, the Main Stream Media could/should be hit with a multi-Billion $ lawsuit.

  12. Richard I dont know what kind of brownies youve been eating but i have been watching bill consistently for a few months and i have not found him to be disreputable in any way . perhaps you could expound a bit further on your accuzations or just quit bloviating.
