Harper Refuses To Protect Children From Parents

Liberal leadership candidate Carolyn Bennett, (Liberal MP for St. Pauls, Toronto) addresses Canada’s number one root cause of crime – parents.

“There’s actually no plan for early learning and child-care spaces. So it’s a good job they’re putting more money for prisons in the budget, because we’re going to need them if we don’t get this early childhood right.”

It’s times like this that I really regret not having the comments open – just to showcase the pop-criminology apologists just itching to jump in and defend her.

  1. Somewhere in Carolyn Bennett’s muddled thinking about early childhood is actually a glimpse of the truth.
It is the FAMILY wherein little human beings are civilized, or not.
But it is NOT “we”, society or the State, who get this right or not. It is a healthy family, or not.
Therefore, IMO, among the basic duties of government are TO KEEP THEIR NOSES OUT OF THE FAMILY AS MUCH AS REASONABLY POSSIBLE and govern in family-friendly ways.
Does anyone want Carolyn Bennett, or Jack Layton, or Paul Martin…OR any Leftist Clones espousing their leftist collectivist values, to be in authority over their child/children’s upbringing?!

  2. And I thought the increase in spending for prisons was to make room for all those lieing and thieving liberals!
