Wifflebat Anyone?

Sometimes I read something that really gets to me; and I become. How can I say this delicately rather worn-out with the inane and dreary criticism of the Iraq War by the Socialist Utopians who just wont let go. I think that if I hear Abu Ghraib evoked in the name of Leftist arrogance one more time Ill have to beat someone with a wifflebat. Why am feeling like this? Because of this:
The entrance to the genocide museum is in the back of the building. To get there from the front you have to walk past one of the rape rooms. Womens underwear and contraceptives were found in that room when the prison was liberated by the Peshmerga.
When you enter the museum you will walk through a long and winding hallway. The walls are covered with mirror shards. Each represents one of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi Kurds murdered in the genocidal Anfal campaign. A river of twinkling lights lines the ceiling. Each represents one of the five thousand villages destroyed by Saddam Hussein. CLICK
And, speaking of Iraq, it would seem that the bulwarks of Bush Lied; People Died are crumbling more every day. Somebody somewhere decided that in order to justify the Iraq War a smoking gun would have to be found. And, it would seem, the vast majority of people bought into this foolish notion. As the Bush haters Moveon smugly in their delusion that Bush did lie, they may not have noticed the growing evidence trickling from Iraqi archives that not only may prove beyond a doubt that Iraq had WMD, but that Osama and Saddam had a pretty cozy relationship after all. 1. Wow! That’s a brilliant observation. You’ve convinced me to come around to your side of the deabte.
Here’s one for you to ponder: just like a guitar, you’re being played. And a very bad tune to boot. Tool.

  2. Actually, you did very well. A moonbat would have reacted in a far more vindictive way. suggesting where to place one’s head. You know the routine. TG

  3. Okay Kiddies, let’s all get along now…
Trolls, your mommy (or your government daycare unionized employee) is calling you.

  4. Haven’t posted in recent days, but since there is talk of banning “moonbats,” I want to make sure I’m not left out.
The trouble with this site is that there are too many people who vent vehemently without having a clue. What they want is personal relevance, which they seek by levitating into the blogosphere, confirmation of fond opinions, and reinforcement from a collective of sorts. There may be particular interests and agendas, but let’s not be paranoid.
Have a look at the quality of information offered. For instance, the TROP Islamic terror stats are used to prove the existence of War by Islamic Terrorists. Anyone with any inkling of the preparation and presentation of statistics could ask many inconvenient questions. But there is no point asking them because the only reply would be ad hominem. The propaganda of the chosen side is purveyed as Gospel truth, and the contrary is simply condemned.
For those who don’t know, “ad hominem” is Latin for “against the man.” An “argumentum ad hominem” is a logical fallacy, in that it does not counter the opposing argument, but attacks the motive, credibility or other attribute of the adversary advancing the argument. And what is the main argument encountered on SDA? Ad hominwm insults of those advancing different views, unless “moonbats,” “union hacks,” “Socialist Utopians” and similar expressions are terms of endearment.
By all means, grant Penny’s wish and ban posters who don’t pay the requisite lip sevice to your party line. Just don’t forget to include me. Perhaps you might ask yourselves why someone who professes to be a psychiatric nurse treats “disagreeable” posters with the malevolence of an untreated psychiatric patient. Ask yourselves what the purpose of this site is. Advancing knowledge through the exchange of information and adult discussion certainly is not.
Don’t worry about SDA becoming a TV show – it could be a reality show without reference to reality. And don’t forget the mutual mental masturbation I warned about a week or so ago.

  5. Doug,you’re way off!
    I AM against banning!
You’re supposed argument is textbook hypocracy,I mean let’s look at it:
“Even your remarks are tired and predictable. If no-one has anything new to contribute to the site, then what kind of site do you suppose it is?Predictable and boring”……If you want to see predictable and boring, just remove the opposing opinion from this site,oh yeah, that would be diversity.I’ll bet you just don’t like reading opinions you disagree with.
“You’re advocating SDA to become like television news. Controversy sells. Arguing with moonbats (the same dead horse beat over and over) only increases the number of posts, not their quality.”…..No,you’re advocating sda becomes like TV news.Do we not complain regularly on this site about the MSM’s tendency to promote one side of a story? You want to create the same atmosphere here?BUT,if you are just trying to raise the level of civility or suppress extreme views you’d better be prepared to ban some”righties”on this site also!
“It’s not debate by any definition. It’s just a pissing match.Maybe you enjoy the stench of urine.”…..I look to your post just ahead, seems to me you’re the one who likes wading in that particular puddle.
This may be startling news to some, but the world is NOT black and white. It is so many shades of grey that to find your own position, you need to understand the positions of those around you, even opinions you find uncomfortable to consider.
If you trully want quality debate you must engage some small l lefties and learn to take extremists of any stripe with a grain of salt.Do you think Jose finds it welcoming here?Where he and I are worlds apart politically,at least he has stuck it out and seems inoffensive to me.(Though Jose, you could ratchet down the USisSATAN stuff and people might be more willing to read your posts with an open mind)
HOW else do you measure your beliefs if they are not regularly tested and subject to new input?
Possibly,if some didn’t attack and ridicule others for their opinions, some of these trolls wouldn’t bother setting their little traps.
Anyways, hate those useless little cocksucking trolls myself but cencorship is NOT the answer.
You stifle free speech(even if it sounds retarded)and you lose the right to claim credibility!
    Just my thoughts on it.

  6. Aqitfact…your post came up as I was typing mine, just wanted to add a well done!

  7. +Moon bats, er moonbats, are welcome, BTW. They is hilarious entertainment, e.g. Vijay’s blog.

    Tories axe unity council funding
Toronto Star – 12 hours ago
OTTAWAThe Conservative government is cutting off funding for the Canadian Unity Council, one of the most venerable Quebec-based federalist organizations, as part of a broader review of the way Ottawa promotes the federation. … +

    Vijay speaks, er writes:
    Shame! Shame! Shame!
Shame on Harper for this. Its a black day for Canada and those have worked hard to keep this country united and build a foundation for the future on diversity and tolerance.
The Tories have not advised on alternatives and I doubt if they will.
(The council) are a talented group of people who have done a lot of great things. We just think that after 42 years we have to take a look at it, rejuvenate some of the programs that are there, and rejig them to meet the realities of today, Cannon said in an interview. Cannon is the transport minsiter.
So how do you take a look at things to improve it, to rejuvenate; by scrapping it? I was a part of the CUC young leaders committee and was proud of their services to young Canadians and new Canadians.
Harpers vision of unity is by cutting funding to premier organizations like CUC and increase defence spending. Yeah right, its going to work.
I wish I had worked harder to get the Liberals elected. Shame!

    Hilarious, no?

  8. Time to get one word that describes all the leftists out there, instead of using so many different ways to describe them. My choice is
bushaphobia or bushaphobics. Such as, the msm is suffering from bushaphobia. Feingold is a bushaphobic. Another suggestion is -they suffer from commonsensephobia. I read those adjectives on another post, but think they are good. Maybe it could catch on like -rush to judgement. Didn’t all the adscam crap start with the CUC.
There will be other cuts to useless programs. I noticed that another child was left in a Que daycare center after closing. How many kids have been left on the bus, in the facility, outside sleeping and many other dangerous situations in the daycare system in Canada. And the libs wanted to make this kind of treatment of our kids mandatory. If the staff was unionized would this have happened, or worse, cause it wasn’t a workers job to check closets, buses etc.

  9. Mary: Perfect, especially since it is leftist fetish to label the right with some sort of phobia or another…. homophobe, Islamophobe, etc. What goes around comes around!
