There is a radio station recording, a Liberal campaignadmission, and a self-serving qualified Liberal apology that a phone call was placed from Liberal candidate Chris Axworthy’s campaign headquarters in Saskatoon-Wanuskewin falsely accusing a sitting Conservative MP (and former pastor), Maurice Vellacott of sexual assault. Shouldn’t the headline read:
“Rape Allegation Falls Flat”
or
“False Sex Assault Charge Made from Liberal Campaign HQ”
or
“Liberal Candidate Denies Campaign Worker Made Malicious Sex Abuse Claim”

On his show earlier tonite, CTV’s Mike Duffy brought up the case of the false claim of sexual assault, and some of the circumstances surrounding it.
John Duffy, Liberal strategist/hack, and one of Mike Duffy’s guests on that same show, responded back to mike Duffy that the accusing call was made from the shopping mall where the Liberal campaign office is located and that therefore anyone could have placed that call!!!

I work with single mothers and his plan for daycare is really worry too me and them. Will the private sector fill the gap and how much will it cost to send their children to daycare? I worked on a tax form today for one of the women and I can�t see how the lowering of the GST will help her at all. She barely makes enough to get a little over the minimum back in GST rebates, her savings doesn�t even cover the cost of bus fare. Speaking of bus fares since she doesn�t pay any income tax how does she get the credit? Seems to me that a lot goes to the upper middle income bracket and the amount goes down ending at nothing for the ones that need help the most. Good thing that he�s putting more police on the streets as the crime wave will grow because the poor have nowhere to turn and women as always feel the pinch the most. Do we have a clear picture of what Harper’s plans are to make sure we don�t run a deficit?
Aren’t we synical, Sue? It seems to me that anything Harper and the Conservatives do would be more than what is being done right now. Do we have a crime wave now?

Has it occured to you, Sue, that Paul Martin has been promising to deliver daycare spaces in each of the last FOUR elections and, except for empty campaign promises, hasn’t delivered ONE daycare space ever?
Has it occured to you that Paul Martin promised to abolish the GST and called it “an unfair and regressive tax on living”… but didn’t?
Has it occured to you that the ONLY Federal tax that people who pay zero income tax pay… is the GST… and the ONLY way to use tax cuts to assist every Canadian including the poorest of the poor is to cut the GST?
Has it occured to you… that Paul Martin’s promises and commitments are pure B.S. and that even Stephen Harper’s critics respect the man?

$13,000,000,000 for this yr, and $9,000,000,000 for last yr and so on… if he was going to do something about it, don’t you think he would have already? The liberals don’t give a rat’s *ss! they won’t do it unless it would win the election.
It’s called “appealing to the female” vote. No knock on women, it’s just carefully thought out strategy. Appeal to women by knowing what their concerns AND fears are. Once you know what makes a person or group of persons tick, they can be played like a deck of cards… usually. and she can deduct a percentage of her rent, phone, hydro, heat, and claim mileage on her car if it applies. With a GST number she can get her GST back on things applying to her business, but that is a bit of bother tho as they want you to collect their taxes for them. I hope this might have helped some.

If Paul Martin hadn’t turned Employment Insurance into a slush fund for paying down the deficit, maybe some of those poor single mothers would be able to get some job training and get a better job.
At the end of the last election campaign, as Liberal attacks became ever more intense, Stephen Harper seemed to fall silent. Perhaps he didn’t wish to dignify them with a response. Unfortunately, those negative characterizations of Harper and his party were the last impressions Canadians had before the election. Last night, Stephen’s appearance on Peter Mansbridge was very strong; it reflected a man who is thoughtful and serious. But I think that he missed a number of opportunities to respond more vigorously to the increasingly desperate and pathetic Liberal (and NDP and Bloc) attacks.
OT, sorry — just reading in the Vancouver Sun editorial page — “Stephen Harper is our choice to clean up Ottawa”. I think they have finally conceded. And an added bonus, NO anti Harper/CPC letters today (which trust me usually outnumber the pro ones).
If Paul Martin gets elected how long will it be before the Liberal appointed Judges say it is legal for me to have many wives.
